Ji's fingers tapped furiously at the surface of the table as he watched Noa make lunch. He could predict she had put in long hours of perfecting meals to survive on her own, since her parents had been long gone. It smelled so delicious, He couldn't stand the torture much longer. "It'll be ready in a few minutes," Noa laughed, noticing his expression. Just a few more minutes. Ji's head slammed on the table in defeat. So hungry..

"So how have you guys been nowadays?" "Pretty good," the man replied to his friend as they sat at the table. "Jagi!" A voice chimed from the other room," Can you come here please? I want you to taste this." " Be right there!" 

 "How does this taste to you?" The man took a sip of the soup lying on the stove, still in the process of cooking. "Oh, that's delicious. Don't add anything else. " " Really? I thought it needed more salt-" " No no, it's perfect. Like you" She giggled, punching his arm. " Enough of the corny jokes, go sit down." "Awe man, it's not ready yet? I'm starving!" "In a few minutes, now go!" With a kiss on the cheek, he left her alone to finish in the kitchen

"Oh no no!"  

Ji's head perked up, realizing she had left it on for too long, and the meal had erupted into flame on the stove. Noa quickly grabbed a bucket lying on the floor, filling it quarter way with water. She was about to put out the flame when something stopped her in her tracks. She looked to the stove , realizing something had caused it to completely freeze over. "Oh my god" She quickly turned to face Ji, suprised at his outstretched hand. What had just happened?

"Ji...you did that?"

He couldn't explain it himself, equally suprised at what he had just done. Ice? I-I can create Ice? What's going on with me? Noa began breaking open the shelves, searching for a mug. Quickly filling it to the brim with water , she then rushed to pull up a seat beside Ji , slamming it on the table. He sat, speechles,  eyes darting left and right. "Do it again," she said , out of breath . Cautious, he put his hand out again, slowly curling his fingers, and the water began to freeze. Noa looked on in awe at what he was doing. He looked at her, a small smile appearing on his face.  "I-I can't believe this, Ji," She said,"You're.. amazing!" She threw her arms around Ji in a tight embrace, startling him a little. "I'm sorry that must've scared you," she said releasing him,"It's just amazing what you can do. I've never seen anything like it." She couldn't help but pull him into hug again. He was truly something she would of never imagined. She could admit she had grown quite attached to him.

" We've never gone up to the mountains after dark," Noa said as the two of them headed down the road, the light of day beginning to fade. "Pretty interesting idea." Noa meandered across the road, stomping through the ditches on either side, while Ji walked silently , his hands in his pockets. " Ji! come here!" Curious, he walked over to where she was standing in the ditch on the left side. "It's a dandelion," she said smiling as she pulled it from the ground, admiring its perfect shape. " I can't remember the last time I saw one of these." He watched in interest as she blew the seeds , sending them off into the air. The wind blew at her black locks as she grinned, watching them soar high up into the sky. This was the first time he had seen her so happy. It was all because of him, that he had been brought into her life. He was thankful, to be blessed with her presence, to be able to wake up to her beaming face every morning. She was what kept his heart beating.  I don't know where I'd be without you

 "Do you remember this place?"

Ji looked around the clearing, searching within his thoughts of an image. Of course I do..

"Hey there," she said," are you alright?" 

This was the place where his life began again, the place where she found him. He nodded, smiling as he looked up at the sky. " Pretty, hm?" Noa asked, as she took a couple steps toward him. Nodding again, he took a place on the ground, so he could see the sky better. Noa followed, stiing down next to him. They both looked up as tiny snowflakes began to fall. "I have only one other memory of coming up here to see these snowflakes," Noa said, scooting closer to him for warmth," My Umma took me up here. It was only a one time thing because I was little and it was past my bed time. But she wanted me to see it." The snowflakes, although small, were colorful, much like the aurora borealis, falling like fairy dust on their skin. Ji sat a long time, admiring the bright snowflakes as they fell around him, not realizing Noa had fallen asleep in his arms. He smiled, gazing at her sleeping face. 

I don't know how I was lucky enough to find you, but it's as if this was fate.

Ji opened the door to the house, carrying a sleeping Noa in his arms. It was late, he could predict. He quickly walked to the back of the house, towards Noa's room. Setting her down on the bed, he pulled her blankets up so she wouldn't freeze during the night. He then stood there, admiring her perfect features once again. This was the part that pained him . Even though they were never apart, with his feelings for her, it felt like he was a lifetime away. If he could speak, only then could he finally tell her what he had been thinking all this time. Slowly, he pressed his lips to her forehead. He then turned to leave the room, a hint of a smile appeared across his lips
