“Luhan she’s crying again,” yelled Kris

“Well can you pick her up? She can’t comfort herself,” he was busy getting her bottle ready

“I don’t know how to hold a baby,”

“Oh my gosh. You’re useless and you call yourself a leader,” D.O came to the rescue

“That hurt me D.O. right here,” Kris jokily pointed to his heart as DO rolled his eyes

 6 month Reese continued to scream her head off and nothing Kris or DO was doing could help the situation.

“Hyung she’s still crying. When is your wife coming home again?” asked DO

“Maybe she needs a diaper change?” Luhan was still in the kitchen

Kris and DO looked at each other and then at Reese.

“SEHUN!” they shouted at the same time

“You yelled hyungs?” he poked his head in the bedroom

“Change the baby,” DO gave her to him as Sehun’s mouth was open

“Why me?”

“Because even if you argue that Tao is the mankne too, you are the youngest,” said Kris as Sehun whined about he not wanting to do this

Reese’s screams got louder and Luhan was slightly on edge.

“What the heck are you guys doing to her!” he yelled from the kitchen, “Kai go check on my princess,” Kai ran into the room, “Why is this bottle taking so long to heat up?” he said to himself

“Sehun what are you doing?”

“Changing her but she’s still crying. I don’t know what to do hyung,” he gave Kai his puppy dog face as Kai rolled his eyes

He gently picked up Reese from the changing table and sat in the rocking chair and he held her in his arms. He started making funny faces at her which instantly silenced her.

“How did you do that?”

“Like I’ve been telling you guys. The ladies love me,” he kissed her chubby cheek as she played with his face

The boys noticed the sudden silence and rushed to the room.

“What happened?” Baekhyun was frantic

“Hyung has the touch,” Sehun said to him as he pointed to Kai smiling and laughing with Reese

All the boys smiled at the scene when Luhan came into the room with the bottle. He just gave it to Kai who like a pro started feeding Reese. But unfortunately at that moment Reese didn’t want Kai feeding her. She fought with him by not totally putting the bottle in .

He didn’t smell like her Dad and he didn’t feel like him. She was not pleased and she let everyone know how she felt. Luhan didn’t even have a chance to get out of the room before she let out a blood curtly scream that rocked his heart to the core. All the boys never heard that piercing sound before coming from her and it startled them.

“Um…hyung,” Kai was speechless

Luhan was never really a kid person. I mean kids liked him just fine but they mostly gravitated to DO or Kris. But when he and Aileen decided it was time to conceive they were blessed with a healthy caramel colored 6 pound 7 ounce baby girl they named Reese Nicole Han. She was their joy and words could not describe how they felt about their little girl. She was smart, fun, beautiful and spoiled rotten. She had 11 uncles who were already competing for her attention.

“Well you obviously don’t have the touch,” Luhan joked with Kai as he took his daughter in his arms, cradled her and put the bottle in which she took without a fuss

“Why does she do that hyung? One minute she is completely happy and then next she’s scaring us with that scream. I thought she was going to hurt herself,” said a worried Sehun

“That’s a baby for you. They are so unpredictable. Just when I think I have her on a set schedule, she changes it,” he smiled at his daughter lovingly, “But I wouldn’t trade this for anything,”

“Even wonderful with your gorgeous wife,” Lay put his two cents in as the others laughed

“HYUNG!” yelled Tao and Sehun

“What I mean…come on,” he laughed

“Why can’t I have both,” said Luhan laughing

“I know that’s right,” said Kai as they all looked at him

“I don’t even wanna know,” said Suho

“When you guys finally have your own, you’ll know what I mean because right now I can’t describe it,”

They heard the keys turn and rustle of bags.

“Babe what’s with all the shoes?”

“Aileen…Noona…you’re home,” all the boys said at once

“Hey I should have known,” before she could reach her husband and baby she was bombarded with hugs and kisses from the boys who were glad to see that she got home safely

“How was your trip Noona?” asked Kai

“It was good to see my family. But they really wanted to see Reese. By the way where are my gorgeous husband and baby?”

Luhan smiled at his wife brightly while still feeding Reese. She looked more beautiful every time he saw her. It had been 4 days since he saw his wife and he missed her tremendously. For some reason he wanted the boys to leave and wished Reese slept through the night so they could make more babies but he couldn’t be selfish.

“Luhan,” she grabbed his face and kissed him with all her heart

“Wow you guys we are still here,” said Chanyeol

“Well maybe this is your cue to leave,”

“Wow we see how it is,” said Kris as he gathered the boys with a smile, “We will be back for dinner though,” they all left leaving the family of 3

Luhan while still holding Reese sat on the couch with his wife. They sat there for a minute not saying anything to each other; just enjoying each other. Finally Luhan spoke up.

“Never go on a 4 day vacation again without me. You know in all of our 5 years of marriage we have never been apart. These 4 days without you have been hard,”

“Why? You had little Reese’s Pieces with you,” she took her daughter out of her husband’s arms and began bouncing her in the air. Reese gave her the biggest laugh

“I know but I was still lonely and Reese missed you too,” he kissed her on the cheek

“Aw you poor thing,” she kissed him back, “So anything crazy happen while I was gone?”

FLASHBACK

“Hyung we should have sent the manager to get it. There are too many fans around,” said Kai

Luhan had to go the store to get that certain type of fragrance that his wife wore. He was not going through another night of Reese’s screams without that fragrance in his hands.

“Reese has been screaming herself to sleep for the past two days. My singing doesn’t help, DO’s singing doesn’t help, warm bath water is not the cure and I’m sorry but if Chanyeol and Kris do another round of scary peek a boo, I’m going to hurt someone. If Reese smells the scent maybe it would calm her down. Even though Aileen isn’t here maybe having her smell in the house would help,” Luhan was holding his now happy bouncing baby in his arms, “Plus we are here now and I don’t want to go back home,”

“OMG Its LUHAN AND KAI OPPA!!!!!” one girl screamed and that’s when it started

Luhan and Kai were instantly bombarded with fans and cameras going off right in the middle of the mall. Luhan and Kai had experienced these mobs before but now that he was a father it was totally unacceptable. All was going good until a fan shoved another fan because she wanted to get close to Kai.

“KAI OPPA I LOVE YOU,” the shoving match began

Luhan onto Reese tighter but the crowd got rowdy fast.

“Hyung, grab my hand,” the boys could not move until Kai saw a opening and he ran for it while holding onto Luhan.

The boys tried to make a run for it but those girls were on a mission. Luhan was wondering where security was and started praying. By now poor Reese was crying and Luhan was getting angry. He loved his fans. They made him who he was but this was out of hand. Did they not care he was holding his infant daughter; a person he would die for.

“LUHAN OPPA!” a fan grabbed him and he tripped while still holding Reese

“HYUNG!” Kai shoved through the fans but he couldn’t find him, “Please can you guys back up. He has his daughter,” Kai could hear Reese’s piercing screams, “Please stop. He has his daughter,” Kai found them

Luhan had tripped and fell on his daughter. He was able to get off of her quickly but because he fell on her and some fans fell on him and Reese had a little cut on her face.

There weren’t enough words to describe the horror he felt. She could have been trampled. Once some of the fans realized what happened they called the ambulance and helped disperse the crowd. Luhan was shaken. He could not think straight. He had put his precious baby girl in harm’s way. He only wanted to soothe her anxiety over not having her mother for a few days.

“Kai I almost got her killed,”

“Hyung, stop talking like that. Look she’s smiling at you. She’s fine,” Kai was holding Reese because clearly Luhan could not

20 minutes later the other members arrived at the hospital. Luhan was a wreck.

“Hyung what happened? Where is Reese?” asked Sehun as he hugged Luhan

“We were trampled at the mall. I…I…fell on Reese,”

The boys were shocked.

“They suddenly surrounded us. I had Hyung’s hand but he got separated and then I heard Reese’s cry. It was loudest thing I ever heard. The fans were pushing and shoving. It’s like they didn’t notice the baby. It was really scary,”

“Omg is she ok?” Suho had tears in his eyes

“Her head is fine and arms and legs but her face has some cuts on it,”

The boys were looking through the glass at Reese being bandaged up. They all had fell in love with that little girl so in a way they all felt like Daddies. She was the first EXO baby to be born so she was pretty special. Reese didn’t show any signs of her traumatic experience. The nurse noticed Luhan looking depressed so she showed Reese her Daddy. Reese gave Luhan the biggest smile which caused him to burst into tears.

“See she loves you because she knows you will always protect her,” Kris said giving him a side hug

END OF FLASHBACK

Luhan was scared his wife was going to blast him. He did almost get his daughter killed and if he did he knew she would never forgive him. Aileen examined Reese’s face closely and she now noticed the cuts on her face. She looked at her happy daughter and kissed her.

“Well at least she won’t remember,”

“Wait, that’s it. You’re not going to yell at me. Call me a terrible selfish father,”

“Why would I because you are the opposite of all those words you just said,” she smiled at her confused husband, “Luhan you are a wonderful father and I love you even more after telling me this,”

“I don’t get it,”

“What father goes to the mall trying to find his wife’s scent to calm his baby? Most Dads would just swaddle their kids and put a pacifier in their mouths.  You think outside the box, sometimes crazy things just to make her happy. You go above and beyond just so you can see a little smile on her face. Now I’m sure if I were home during this thing I wouldn’t be able to function so I can totally understand how you feel but you aren’t a terrible selfish father,” she kissed him, “Reese loves you. I love you and I wouldn’t trade you for anyone or thing,”

“I love you too,” Luhan hugged both of his girls when there was a knock on the door

“Ok we are back,” said Kris

“Why don’t you guys just move in, huh?” said Aileen

“There is so not enough room for all of us,” said Chen as he took Reese from Aileen and swung her in the air

“Wait Chen…” just then Reese had threw up her milk all over Chen’s face

“OMG!!!!!!!!” he screamed like a little girl as Tao took her from him

They all laughed as Chen was gagging by the kitchen sink trying to clean himself.

“So not funny guys,”

Suddenly they heard a little giggle come from Reese.
