All Work and No Play Makes Taeyeon a Dull Girl

Again, Today, I Love You

*a taeteuk special for fellow taeteuk shippers.

She was following his footsteps, her pair of little feet trying to level his; there was a smile of satisfaction painted on her face.

Kim taeyeon giggled until her face could no more hide the redness of her cheeks. It may only be simple, just going home, just catching the nearest bus passing by the façade of the university, only a typical day. but somehow, sneaking out felt undeniably different when you’re with someone you always wish you could spend time with. And taeyeon had wanted to spend more time with leeteuk, her level of curiosity always at its highest peak every time when he’s around. what does he do after doing council activities? How does he behave inside a public utility vehicle? Does he listen to songs on the way home? or does he spend the almost an hour talking with a stranger,  gazing out the window seeing different types of cars carrying different types of people? Taeyeon wanted to know more. Its as if leeteuk’s mysterious personality had appeared of utter interest to her, and she realized that it was the perfect time to observe.

He is as what she had observed… a typical one. He always looks at his watch as if it’s an uncontrollable mannerism, probably counting the minutes that passed by and the remaining time of the duration home. Taeyeon observed leeteuk waiting at the bus stop, gazing from afar, the row of vehicles passing by. She found it cute every time he bites on his lower lip as his eyes dart from one person to another going in and out of the cars.

“rush hour.” He muttered, looking at his watch again. he had made it obvious, thinking of possibilities of taeyeon to change her mind about going with him but she didn’t. she was always gazing at him as if he was a big discount coupon.

Taeyeon nodded and crossed her arms, as she inspected leeteuk from head to foot. Question time again. how can leeteuk manage to look prim and proper amidst of his hectic schedule? The side fringe is the same, his blond hair still shines even if the sky is turning dark. And students would always look at him as if he was some sort of a movie star fresh from a taping session. She never noticed that before, another regret coming to her mind. If only she knew that most of the students nowadays prefer the intelligent ones, she would have started the fashion statement.

“taeyeon follow me.” leeteuk said. taeyeon almost jumped upon seeing him already stepping inside a green bus and she immediately trailed after him, waving goodbyes to stunned female students watching them leave together.

“always the star.” Taeyeon made another giggle as she went behind an embarrassed-but -too -contained leeteuk on the front row. She looked up and was amazed at what she saw.

Leeteuk was right. There were really a lot of people. Most of them were already standing on the farther end of the vehicle patiently waiting for their turn to hop off. She was never used to this type of situation. Whenever she would sneak out, she would be finding herself inside a bus with more seats. Probably going home late was the consequence. She instinctively looked for seats like leeteuk but with no avail. She stood on the bus floor, almost motion less, thinking of what would happen within the next one hour. It will be better if she gets the chance to talk to leeteuk but fighting with the noise seem to make it impossible.

“pft.” Taeyeon took out her sanitizer and began rubbing her palms with alcohol.

Leeteuk noticed her focusing on her hands. “touch a chair or something sturdy so you wouldn’t fall.”

“eew, no way.” taeyeon said, eyeing curiously the middle aged man who was still looking at her as if she was some sort of a bright area on the field. she shook her head and placed the sanitizer back to her bag. “did you know how much bacteria are in there?”

“yes, I happen to be a nurse.”

Taeyeon pouted and situated herself more to the left when she noticed that someone made a slight poke on her waist.

“is that you?”

“what?”

Taeyeon pointed to her waist but leeteuk just eyed her questioningly. “never mind.” She said, running a hand on her blonde locks. she will be in need of hair treatment in the next few days. Some hair spa, a little change in color, probably lighter blonde would do. she was thinking of t her a hair a few inches when she felt a hand brushing on her elbow.

Taeyeon immediately looked at her back, frowning, but all she could receive in return were amount of puzzled stares from the passengers.

“presid—“ she said but hesitated. Leeteuk was too busy checking up his mini notebook that she kept mum on the situation.

The bus almost swayed when reaching to another bus stop. Taeyeon squeezed herself to the right when more people went in. the appearance now look like a can of sardines, people sweating, some losing their patience finding themselves with nothing to sit on. Good thing leeteuk carried her bag all the way from school or she would be finding it hard to protect her stuff. The snatching incident wouldn’t happen anymore, like what he had said.

Taeyeon thought she was just imagining when a hand was now touching the side of her waist. Looking at her left she saw that she wasn’t just over thinking.

Even leeteuk noticed the scene too and in a flash, went near to taeyeon to cover her up.

“excuse me.” he said firmly towards the middle aged man, as he pulled  taeyeon’s arm towards him. What is he thinking?  He thought. he edged taeyeon to the front to provide distance and became more aware of people taking glances at her inside the bus. He didn’t expect that taeyeon’s physicality could attract even when riding public vehicles.

“were you touched in other places? Did he touch your back?” he whispered at her. taeyeon shook her head and told him in a stare that she was fine.

“It happens.”  She said. “its really hard when you’re this pretty.”

He cringe his brows and heave out a sigh. “whatever. stay in front of me.” he said, making her lean on the pole. Taeyeon’s back rested on the brass material and she found herself being cornered by leeteuk. “what will your father just say when he finds this out, you should have contacted your driver.”

“no one will know, it’ll be our deadly secret.” Taeyeon said. she doesn’t want to go home alone, she wanted to be with him. One week of patiently waiting to meet him post the accident had made her too miserable already.

“just stay here.” leeteuk said. “they now know you’re with me.”

He stood in front of her, his back turned against the sea of people standing inside the bus. Taeyeon could see that she was safe because of his towering figure, appearing like a barricade from having contact to other passengers.

Another good outcome from the bad. Could things get any better?

“if with traffic, we should be at the district within thirty to fourty five minutes.” Leeteuk said, almost leaning towards her. he cannot afford to make distance due to the amount people squeezed in the vehicle. As much as he wanted to give taeyeon and him an amount of space, he couldn’t. but it appeared that she didn’t mind his presence at all. There was total satisfaction on her face, and with grinning. This girl was definitely out of her thinking mind.

“it must be boring.”

Leeteuk looked at her. “huh?”

“it must be boring.” Taeyeon repeated. “not having someone to talked to when riding a public utility for more than thirty minutes. “

“I don’t mind.” Leeteuk said. it was utterly fine to him. Less talk, less nuisance.

But to taeyeon it wasn’t. she was always used to talking. Her lips parted, indicating that she wanted to talk more when she realized that leeteuk must be tired with his activities that she preferred, because of no choice, to just be silent for the next couple of minutes.

When the bus reached the destination, taeyeon, who was followed by leeteuk from behind hopped outside the vehicle. He stood on the pavement, wandering, still on his shoulders taeyeon’s leather bag that never appeared awkwardly unpleasant even if he’s carrying it. she perfectly understood that they will walk to the apartment, and she followed him again, catching up with his pace.

“what do you want to eat?”

“sorry?”

“don’t you eat dinner?” leeteuk asked, waving another vehicle to stop as he and taeyeon crossed the road.

“just not my thing.” Taeyeon huffed. “I’m on a diet.”

Leeteuk raised a brow and continued walking.

“its not good that you miss meals.” Leeteuk said. “you wouldn’t have enough energy to support your system when you study. You need that so you could finish your activities.”

Taeyeon was supposed to tell him about eating late at night when she accidentally stepped on a stone that almost led her to slip in front another person if only leeteuk didn’t catch her by the arm.

“aish, sh*t”

“we’ll buy dinner.” Leeteuk decided as taeyeon huddled herself to follow him again. he suddenly stopped, rewinding the moment that had passed, and looked at her sternly. “do you really do that?”

“do what?” taeyeon said.

“cursing.”

Taeyeon laughed and placed a finger to her lip. “can’t help it, such a robot.” she said, aware of her actions. “I will not do it if you don’t like it.”

“I’m not asking you.”

“it looks like it.” taeyeon said. boy, what does leeteuk think of her? and what is she doing suddenly obeying like a lost puppy?

Tayeon always knew that leeteuk does not prefer talking. Or just to consider it, most of his life was focused on making his goals straight. She even doubted that the guy even had a social life.

they bought dinner to the nearest restaurant just few blocks from leeteuk’s apartment. Chicken, broccoli and a liter of pineapple juice. Taeyeon didn’t  know if it is a good combination but leeteuk wasn’t even listening to her when she suggested that she wanted to eat a fried potato oozing with flavor and sweetness that it may appear that she was drooling at the sight of it.

“I want that.” she told him but he acted like he didn’t hear her and paid the items to the nearest cashier.

Taeyeon was muttering how much it is important for a girl to get what she wants but she then realized that outside their façade is a fake relationship that will be revealed if they weren’t too careful about it. taeyeon rolled her eyes and just continued to walk on, knowing that she will be defeated anyways if she commented.

They reached his apartment, the ever tidy and dust free area that separated leeteuk’s life from the polluted city. taeyeon hurriedly went over to her suitcase not realizing she didn’t take off her shoes that leeteuk almost raised his voice reminding her of cleanliness and order that must be followed at all times when she’s inside his territory.

“what are you doing?”

“what?”

Leeteuk took away taeyeon’s shirt and pointed to the bathroom not so distant away.

“hey, I’m changing!”

“precisely.” He said. “go change inside the bathroom, this is not your closet.”

“I’ve changed my clothes here, aish.” Taeyeon said. leeteuk looked again at her. “what?”

“if you are used to changing clothes in front of people, or even in front of your boyfriends, its not the case with me.” leeteuk said. “clear?”

“pft. Your place is like the size of my closet anyways. ” Taeyeon grudgingly took the clothes away from him and stormed inside the bathroom.

Leeteuk heave out a sigh. living with taeyeon might be, if not the most, one of the biggest challenges he  has faced ever in his life. the girl doesn’t even know how to do anything related to house chores. She always rants about everything. She doesn’t even know how to clean and arrange her clothes and she always makes a mess inside the bathroom. Leeteuk was even thinking of imposing sanctions on her when he realized that he will be creating another student council act even inside his home.

He took out the food he just brought and started computing on his calculator the amount of items he just purchased. Mr. Kim had completely forgotten that he is a working student and having taeyeon inside his apartment will cause him to be short on is finances.

He saw taeyeon emerging outside the bathroom with a frown on her face, throwing her clothes on the floor much to his dismay, and situated herself at the foot of the bed, kicking the wooden board with the back of her bare feet. At her appearance she just looked like any other three year old, ranting about not getting what she wants.

“eat your dinner.”

“its just the food that you like, how could I eat that?” taeyeon grunted, getting her game pad on her suitcase. Leeteuk set down half of the chicken on the nook and poured on a quarter of pineapple juice on a cup.

“its dinner, you will be starving.”

“then eat so you don’t starve.” She replied. On her mind he was already insulting leeteuk, imagining him his face as a dart board waiting to be hit.  “I’m used to skipping meals.”

“don’t make it a habit.” Leeteuk said. he raised a plate in front of her and she hesitated at first. When she noticed that he wasn’t even giving her any complain about her attitude, as though he had been cool with it, she obliged.

Taeyeon took her share of food and sat down on one of the two high chairs opposite the nook.

“how did you do that?”

“do what?”

“my boyfriends do not even disobey my orders. They follow what I want.” Taeyeon said. “why am I following you? are you good in hypnotism? You must be, you must be ordering me things.”

“stop blabbering and eat your food.” Leeteuk said, trying not to laugh. Taeyeon’s ridiculous way of talking was too much to handle, but he concentrated on the chicken on his plate and let his disheveled thoughts vanish.

“magician.” Taeyeon muttered. She stared on her food for a couple of minutes and started eating too.

“ this tastes good.”

Taeyeon never thought that a mix of broccoli and pineapple juice could blend together and started eating more.

Leeteuk, seeing that she gained an appetite,  pushed in another plate of broccoli in front of her. he couldn’t help but to feel weird of the thought of sharing a table with one of the most notorious persons on the campus. He had remembered taeyeon always getting in to trouble because of her conduct. Either she was fond of making fun of her professors or she seldom makes her assignments on time. she was even reported of copying a big project from a student during her general science class. But he was dining with her and she was obliging herself on eating healthy food, not even a hint of complain at all except of muttering something about the quality of his utensils.

“I am going to help you.”

“help me what?”

Taeyeon drank from her cup and wiped the side of her lips ungracefully with a napkin. “help you take your phobia away.”

“whatever.” Leeteuk placed down his chopsticks and concentrated on his mobile phone.

“I’m serious.”

“I happen to be serious too.” leeteuk said.

“someday, you’ll ask my permission.” She smiled. “someday you’ll come up to me and ask my help. I will be happy if that happens. I am hopeful.”

Leeteuk thought about taeyeon’s offer and he just shook his head.

he had made it to the point that taeyeon do her homework after eating. She was irritated for a bit considering that she would usually hang out every Friday when she realized that spending more time with her eye candy was worth the prize.

yah.”

Leeteuk looked up but his eyes were focused on his book.

“what day is today?” taeyeon asked.

“Friday.”

“yes, baby, apparently its Friday.” Taeyeon said, making leeteuk flinch at her sudden change of endearments. “and apparently its Saturday tomorrow. It’s a rest day, an assignment free day, a day of relaxation. Think of Spa, think of mall. ”

Leeteuk shrugged and continued reading his book. “I don’t get why you don’t have to study.” He muttered, realizing her point.

“gosh, you really didn’t have a social life, did you?” taeyeon said. she stood up and started stretching her feet. Leeteuk probably really didn’t get to hang out even with his student council friends. She knew that Donghae loved bar hopping, Siwon would always accompany tiffany to the nearest department store, Heechul would be with Jessica on going to spa, Eunhyuk would always be just around the corner talking with anyone. It might be that Kyuhyun is the only exception, seeing that he resembles more of leeteuk in terms of the attitude towards socializing. Taeyeon gazed at leeteuk but when she looked at him, he was already immersing himself to his book.

she rolled her eyes and situated herself on the bed.

“I can’t tell your father you’ve been staying up all night playing games.” Leeteuk said when taeyeon opened her game pad.

“tell him I did homework.”

“so I’ll tell him you did plants versus zombies homework?” leeteuk asked, the sound of taeyeon’s game filling in the air.

“wait, wait.”

Taeyeon huffed and crossed her arms.

“I have two days on weekends anyways, why do I have to finish them?” she blurted. “think of this, think of this… I can even make it Saturday night. Or Sunday night, preferably. Who needs to think too much on assignments? Its all easy. All I have to do is to answer subjectively. “

“so that you can make an advance study to your other subjects.” Leeteuk said. “the more you finish your work, the better so they don’t pile up.”

“fine.”

Taeyeon rested her chin on her palm, thinking of other topics to choose. It will bother her with boredom if she immerses herself on her homework.

“what should I call you?”

“what do you mean?”

“it will be weird if people hear me calling you president.” Taeyeon said. “they should be hearing me call you oppa, or yeobo, or jagi.

Leeteuk’s face wrinkled on the thought. “ just call me leeteuk.”

“leeteuk.” Taeyeon repeated. She smiled just by the thought of it. “leeteuk, leeteuk, leeteuk.”

“why does it sound weird.” Leeteuk said.

“hey leeteuk.”

“what?”

Taeyeon went back to the dining-turned-studying area and put out a mini notebook in front of her textbook, opening the material on the half of the page.

“chum book.” she said, reading his thoughts. “to prevent me from making a mistake when people asks me about you. of course I want to tell them that I know something, it will be weird if I don’t know a bit.”

“you can just make stuff, you’re good at it.” leeteuk said.

“I don’t want to be a liar when it comes to you.” she pouted. taeyeon looked at him, with a look of sincerity that leeteuk couldn’t help but to look back. “its just a reference. I will exchange some information about me. and it doesn’t even break a rule about knowing families. I will stop to more personal things.”

Leeteuk heave out a sigh.

“fine. go.” Leeteuk said. he couldn’t believe that he agreed at her. taeyeon raised her fists in the air and seeing that leeteuk was already paying attention to her, read the following details in pure excitement.

“favorite color.”

“white.”

“favorite food.”

Leeteuk pursed his lips. “cream of mushroom.” He said.

“oh, I like that too.” taeyeon said. she smiled, and read on. “favorite artist.”

“shinhwa.”

“like that too.” Taeyeon said again.“favorite quote?”

“live and die, die from living.”

“favorite music?”

“classical.”

“favorite movie?”

“none.”

Taeyeon looked at him again. “seriously?”

“do I look like I’m kidding?” leeteuk said back. “what else?”

“female crush?”

Leeteuk’s face turned sour.

“hey.” Taeyeon said. “it doesn’t mean that if you have phobia, you wouldn’t have a female crush. There could be someone.”

Leeteuk thought about it more. “hmm.. there’s one I think.” He said, biting his lip. “Kim Tae Hee.”

aish, I’m jealous.” Taeyeon said. “favorite clothes?”

Leeteuk told her about almost everything until they finish.

“now because you already asked me about everything.” He said as taeyeon closed her chum book with a satisfaction painted on her face.  “you have to do something for me in exchange.”

“okay.” taeyeon said.  then she halted. “oh no, don’t tell me that I have to wash my clothes.”

“that might be another one. No. lets play a game.” Leeteuk said. “the consequence will be… the winner will sleep on the bed and the loser will have the thin mattress.”

Taeyeon didn’t know if this could be good. Games were always about chances. Although she’s okay with it, she didn’t know if playing with leeteuk will still be the same like playing with others.

“what game is it then?” she said, feeling hopeful.

“pick anything you want.” Leeteuk said. “so you would feel that I’m not cheating.”

“rock paper scissors.” Taeyeon suggested. “I’m kind of good at it.”

“okay.” Leeteuk said. he took out his hand to which  taeyeon, in return,  slapped with force. “what are you doing?”

“good luck slap and making an advantage.” She beamed. leeteuk rolled his eyes and hinted a slight grunt. “let’s go. Let’s start. I’m getting sleepy.”

Leeteuk took out his hand again.

“rock, paper, scissors!” taeyeon almost shouted. When her hand formed into a fist, leeteuk’s hand was formed into scissors. “hah! One point for me.”

“another.” Leeteuk said.

“rock, paper, scissors.”

“just your luck.” Taeyeon said when leeteuk gained a point. The feeling of excitement and tension were always there whenever opponents started being equal.

But her excitement was put into a halt when leeteuk made a striking finish, finishing the game with 5-4.

“game over.” Leeteuk said. he closed his notebook and pushed his stuff to the side. “I won.”

Taeyeon’s face looked like it was ransacked by a lot of things.

“finish your homework, then sleep after.” Leeteuk said, standing up. “don’t forget to turn off the lights.”

“can’t believe this. How come you’re good at it?” Taeyeon huffed. She pouted, crossing her arms and was amazed when leeteuk started opting for the bed. “what, wait, you’re already done?”

“its because you keep on talking.” Leeteuk said. “you wouldn’t finish if your mind is elsewhere.”

He arranged his pillows and pulled in the beige blanket covering the bed.

“argh.” Taeyeon tugged strands on her hair and shook her head.

“you will be fine, just concentrate.” Leeteuk said.

He didn’t sleep immediately, that was the case. Because Taeyeon kept kicking the table as if to keep herself company from the deafening silence. leeteuk assumed that  the situation felt uncomfortable for her since the mighty kim taeyeon never dared herself to be defeated.

Leeteuk looked at taeyeon and the thought of a rich kid sleeping on a thin bed. He wagged his tongue, thinking of words to say.

“hey.” He uttered.

“I’m studying.” She said. she wasn’t, really. Taeyeon was busy drawing little dresses when she ran out of ideas on finishing her two pages essay.

Leeteuk sat up and placed the blanket up to his waist.

“go to sleep, I can sleep on the floor.” taeyeon said, seeing that he was paying attention to her. she didn’t  like it. not this time. not when she was feeling so embarrassed of losing to a simple game. “don’t you think about pitying me. kim taeyeon doesn’t want to be pitied.”

“kim taeyeon doesn’t want to be pitied by park jungsu?” leeteuk frowned. He sighed and returned to his lying position.  “just go to bed when you’re done studying.”

Taeyeon looked at leeteuk as if he had mentioned something worth intriguing.

“did you, did you say?” she asked. “can you tell it again?”

“I’m not repeating it.” leeteuk said.

Taeyeon  made a noise by pushing her chair backwards, immediately hopping  to leeteuk’s bed.

“oh my gosh, you really think I’m that harmless? Nothing more, nothing less? ” she smiled, propping up leeteuk’s pillow. Leeteuk frowned again and situated himself opposite her view.

“I think I’ll sleep on the floor…”

Taeyeon held leeteuk’s arm.

“no, wait.” She said. leeteuk shook her hand away again, just like he always does. “its okay, this is your privilege. You should really be sleeping on your own bed anyways. I have become too much of a burden for you.”

“good thing you know that.”

Taeyeon smiled again and placed two pillows in a vertical position that separated her space and leeteuk’s. “there. a barricade so you wouldn’t think I’m taking advantage. I’ll go back studying and finish this quickly.”

She hopped off and happily went towards her unfinished business. leeteuk had a slight glance on her before focusing himself to the lamp glowing to his front. He didn’t know that taeyeon had it in her. that good little attitude just being masked by her arrogance. Maybe at some point she would learn how to expose it.

Thinking about it no more, He closed his eyes and slept.

Taeyeon didn’t want to be the last to sleep, even if its obvious that she was the only one awake. after finishing her essay, she went for the bed. She lied down and thought that finishing assignments on time was not a bad thing, but rather uplifting. She realized that she will have more time to herself if she continued doing it.

Can it be because of leeteuk’s charm? Taeyeon looked to her left and gazed at leeteuk, deeply asleep. She felt happy that leeteuk somehow, put on a trust to her that she will not do any harm on him. Of course she wouldn’t do anything. After hearing all his stories about his past, who would want to put a terror back on his face again?

Clutching a stuffed bunny on her arms, she drifted off to sleep.

Taeyeon had a dream.

She found herself on the same room at leeteuk’s apartment, sitting on the edge of the bed, the back of her feet hitting again the wooden board.

Out of the corner of her eye, leeteuk was at the kitchen nook, mixing ingredients on his bowl.

“what are you doing?” taeyeon asked. Leeteuk didn’t reply and instead went on doing his chores. He was really focused on mixing, his eyes buried on the depth of the bowl. But taeyeon noticed something in leeteuk that made her feel strange.

He was actually smiling.

She paced towards the mini kitchen area and sat down on a high chair beside a standing leeteuk. “you know you always look better when you smile.” She said, gazing at him. His face appeared really serene, as if he had a good eight hours of sleep.

“did you finish your homework?”

Not again, taeyeon thought. even in dreams, leeteuk still asks her about school?

“if I don’t?” she asked, experimenting if the same leeteuk will react about her not finishing her homework. It was a dream after all and she was conscious.

“you better finish it.” leeteuk said, looking for another bowl. taeyeon wrinkled her nose and heave out a sigh.

“what’s wrong?”

“my subconscious tells me that you are again being bossy.” taeyeon said. bad luck, she thought.  “yeah, you don’t have to tell me anything, its my perception of you.”

Leeteuk made a final stir and placed the bowl next to the pan. Taeyeon noticed that he had no apron on and he was wearing a very casual look. A gray shirt and jeans.

Taeyeon looked down and noticed that she was wearing a gray shirt too.

“I bought that for you after our one hundredth anniversary, remember?” leeteuk said when taeyeon couldn’t believe that the details of their shirt were also the same. Taeyeon looked up, amazed.

“no way.” She laughed. “you’re kidding me.”

“love, I’m not kidding.” leeteuk said, somewhat serious. taeyeon’s mouth went into a gape. Leeteuk and his endearments?

First it was the same shirt, then leeteuk talking about their one hundredth anniversary, and now calling her “love”?

It was definitely a dream no one wouldn’t want to wake up.

Taeyeon touched leeteuk’s arm expecting him to shake it away but he didn’t. instead he placed his hand on top of her hand and made a gentle squeeze.

“if you finish your homework early.” Leeteuk said, rubbing his hand on hers. “we will go on a date, wherever you like, whatever place it will be, as long as its my treat. That’s if you finish it. and you will get other rewards as a bonus if you do a good job.”

“other rewards?” taeyeon asked. Leeteuk gently took of her hand and went to pour down a pitcher of lemon juice on a cup.

“yes, other rewards, you always get that from me.” leeteuk said, putting his attention again on cooking. he frowned, somewhat not believing. “what’s happening to you, you look like you forgot what you always ask for.”

“what rewards?” taeyeon insisted. “tell me.”

“rewards. Like this.” Leeteuk bent forward and kissed taeyeon on the cheek. When he moved back, he was smiling again.

Taeyeon was at daze.

“do I get special rewards?” she asked.

Leeteuk laughed.

“what special reward are you talking about?” he asked, as if tempting her. taeyeon’s heart leaped. If it were a bunny it would be hopping all over the place.

“you know.” She said, trying not to embarrass herself. She looked to her left pointing towards an area on leeteuk’s room.

“you know.” Leeteuk repeated. He bit his lip and poked taeyeon at the head. “byuntae. Really taking advantage of me.”

Taeyeon pouted. “sorry.”

Almost! She thought. the nerve of controlling such dreams. It basically just acts on its own.

“but you know, I always make adjustments.” Leeteuk said, ultimately shocking her. “don’t give me that innocent face, I look sinister here. “

“so we do, we did… we..” taeyeon couldn’t find right words.”um…”

“do you want to? bed is not yet fixed anways.” Leeteuk said. the way he mentioned it didn’t even have a hint of malice. It appeared casual.

“leeteuk.”

Taeyeon woke up and sighed.

aigoo.”

It was close.

He was that close.

She looked to her left again and saw a still sleeping leeteuk, his blonde hair slightly covering his right eye. he looked like he didn’t move, the barricade between them appeared untouched. she bit her lip in frustration, wondering if the dream will even get real.

A dream is a dream after all.

Trying not to make noisy movements, Taeyeon got hold of her pad to get a shot of her and the still sleeping leeteuk. What a good way but to capture a moment that she can keep. He wouldn’t know it, she will not tell him a single thing that she captured another shot of him sleeping and this time, with her around. she will also try not to expose it to anyone to avoid placing herself to another scandal. Taeyeon pushed the capture button, careful not to let out a giggle.

When she was done capturing the moment, she looked at the result.

And she was surprised when she saw leeteuk staring at her on the picture, his eyes glued on to her. taeyeon cursed words even he could not understand.

aish, you gave me a fright.” She said, touching her heart.

“gave you a fright? What kind of sentence is that.” leeteuk said. he quickly got up and headed towards the bathroom.

“you’ve been awake all this time? why didn’t you tell me?” taeyeon asked when he just finished doing his morning routine and was visible enough as he headed towards  the kitchen area, a few distances from her. She felt scandalous, knowing that leeteuk found out that she was taking another picture. “you saw it?”

“how can I not know, you’re too noisy.” Leeteuk said.

Taeyeon closed her eyes and placed the pad to the bed side table on her right. Controlling her embarrassment, she tugged on her shirt and noticed, as she pulled it more, that she was actually donned in a gray clothing.

“taeyeon.” Leeteuk interrupted her thoughts. taeyeon looked up and noticed leeteuk wearing a gray shirt too.

What the heck, she thought.  she was too late to notice this.

Leeteuk placed a pan on the stove and gave taeyeon a questioning look.

“crazy.” He muttered, looking for a bowl.

“I finished my homework.” Taeyeon said.

“good for you.”

Taeyeon stood up and went to sit on a chair beside the nook, her mind still floating on the dream she just had.  Back at her dream leeteuk is her boyfriend, a real one. And they appeared as if they have been in a relationship for years.

If only the stuff happening on dreams are meant to be real.

Leeteuk tapped on the nook. “what do you want to eat?”

“anything you can make.” Taeyeon said, watching him. he saw him taking out a bowl and her mind went into the dream again with leeteuk mixing some food ingredients.

“I think I’ve realized something.” He said as taeyeon continued looking on the window in a daze. When she was herself again, leeteuk for a moment, placed down the bowl and looked at her.

“what?” taeyeon asked, seeing that his attention was on her.

“I am currently into something that will make you eager to do your responsibilities.” he said, thinking it over . “how about… giving you a reward?”

Chapter 20: Never been really concentrating on reading a fanfic like I have done on this. It's like reading a novel. Every chapter is very intriguing. The best Taetuek fic ever so far.
