It's Not Worth The Penny
Doctors and nurses were whispering something and you couldn’t hear what it was. You tried opening your eyes, but couldn’t. They felt heavy as though a ton of bricks were placed upon your head. Everything was black and you were afraid. You were tired and fell back into darkness leaving the whispers behind.
“Doctor Park, I have the CT scan results from the young female patient,” a nurse came slightly worried for you. The doctor took the papers and his eyes fell upon the results. His eyes widened and then let out a sigh of relief, but switched back to serious mode again.
“There is not a single cancer cell in the brain, but from the results, a vein has popped throughout the brain. It is truly a serious condition,” the nurse’s eyes widened before falling to the floor. Immediately, other nurses began to calm her. Another nurse, was asked to bring the young patient to the operation room.
It began and the risk of saving your life as a 50/50 chance.
The EXO boys were pacing around your room. All except Kai. He didn’t care about you at all. He was only into his phone texting his current girlfriend, Ali.
“Hyung!! Give me my phone back!” Kai obnoxiously whined. Suho, the guardian leader of sub-unit EXO-K had snatched his phone away from him. He tried to grab it back only to be stared down by the other leader, Giant Kris.
“Shouldn’t you be worrying about the girl? I mean she was taken to the CT scan room and hasn’t come back! All you’re doing is texting your stupid girlfriend, Ali,” Suho snapped. Kai shrunk into his seat afraid.
Yes, he was afraid of Suho
No one would want to see Suho angry.
Suho was about to nag the guts out of Kai more, when the doors opened and a nurse came in. All of the boys except Kai until he was smacked surrounding the nurse waiting for an answer.
“The patient has been taken to the operation room,” the nurse spoke monotonically surprising the boys.
“Excuse me, but what happened to the girl? Why is she in the operation room?” Suho asked.
“When the CT scan results came out, we found out that she has popped a blood vessel in her brain so right now she is having an operation done and there is a 50/50 chance that she may or may not survive,” the nurse spoke trying to sound normal when she was feeling bad for her.
Their jaws dropped.
They couldn’t believe it.
You could die and there was nothing they could do about it except pray.
Please. Please fight for survival, they all thought.
