"hey Haemi, have you noticed, we always see each other around." He said. "yeah. Its really weird. Seoul isn't small at all." I answered sarcastically. He laughed. "maybe I should get your number now?" he said. Blood rushed into my face. "r-really?" I said. "um. If its okay with you." He nodded as he got his phone out. "of course!" I blurted out excitedly. He seem surprised. "mianhe." I bowed.
I got my phone out and we exchanged numbers.
At class, Soyeon noticed I was staring at my phone. Yukwon and I were texting that time. "is it still the dance battle guy?" she asked. "yeah~" I cheered. "hey do you want to come with me? They're having a battle again this Thursday night. I want to show you who he is." I suggested enthusiastically. She agreed. The venue was just a few blocks away from her house anyway.
We got there. Block B, Yukwon's group, and a rival group were dancing. "that's him!" I pointed as they gave the stage to Yukwon who was crumping. "oh he is cute!" she exclaimed so that i could hear her clearly over the music. Soyeon seem to enjoy herself that time, watching the dance battle.
"Yukwon!" I shouted in the crowd as they got off the stage to give way for the next crew. He saw me and waved. My heart fluttered with excitement. I let myself fall onto Soyeon. "whatever." She pushed me back up laughing on how I reacted.
"see, I told you. He's amazing." I poked her as we went home. "Fine." she finally agreed.
"hey Haemi look. Its that Yukwon guy." Soyeon pointed by the bus stop. I just stared. I was pretty embarrassed since he wasn't alone. He had a friend with him. "go call him!' Soyeon pushed me. "no---!" I shouted.
"Yukwon ssi! Yukwon oppa!" Soyeon shouted for me.
There was no turning back now. Thanks a lot to Soyeon.
"oh hey!" Yukwon waved at me. Soyeon pushed me closer to him
"h-h-hey." I waved as well.
"who’s she?" his friend nudged his arm.
"ahh, this is Haemi ssi, we've been seeing each other a lot these days." Yukwon answered.
"you've been seeing each other??" his friend repeated in disbelief.
"ahh! Aniyo! Its nothing--" I said but Yukwon was speaking at the same time with me,
"no hyung, I mean, we've been bumping into each other a lot." He cleared.
I nodded.
"oh by the way this is Ahn Jaehyo, he's a part of Block B as well." He introduced.
"nice to meet you. I've watched your previous battle. Congratulations." I bowed.
"this is my friend, Soyeon, she lives near the street court. I brought her to the battle as well." I introduced her while fixing my bangs.
"nice to meet you." Yukwon and Jaehyo bowed.
"well here's the bus. See you around." Yukwon waved.
"ah! Wait, we're riding the bus too." Soyeon linked her arm with mine and charged towards the bus.
"I think Seoul isn't big enough for the two of us huh." Yukwon said.
I laughed sheepishly covering my mouth, "I guess so." I replied.
"where are you headed?" he asked me.
"ahhh, actually I really don't know. I just came with her." I pointed my thumb at Soyeon.
"ahhh." He said. it was awkward trying to make small talk with someone whom I barely knew.
"no but really, why do I always see you?" he asked me looking into my eyes. I started to blush. I quickly looked away.
"it just happens that our schedules are in sync." I smiled at him.
"it must be fated huh." He nodded.
"yeah. Maybe there's something that's supposed to happen." He said with enigma.
I laughed at him covering my face again. "like what? Maybe fate's waiting for me to say 'hey Yukwon ssi, I like you!' or something." I blurted out but I tried my best to make it look sarcastic.
He just laughed at me.
Ugh.
I was so stupid to have even mused that thought into his head.
