Donghae peeked his head out of the bathroom door before going back inside and shutting the door behind him. He leaned his back against it and very softly banged the back of his head against it as he tried to come up with a plan to escape the dozens of people currently waiting for him to come out. He looked at the white wall clock in his bathroom and cursed under his breath when he saw the time constraint he was under.

"Yah! Lee Donghae, hurry up!" Heechul's loud voice was heard clearly through the door and Donghae couldn't help but grimace at having to face the other right now. "We still have to do your hair and make up. I'm all for being fashionably late but you can not be late at your own wedding. That's not classy."

Donghae silently groaned and ran a semi-frustrated hand through his hair before placing it on the wall next to him and leaning his body against.

"Heechul hyung! I don't need all that." Donghae argued for the umpteenth time trying his best to avoid the fuss that Heechul has so elaborately laid out for him. "Can't I just put on my suit and go to the venue like planned?"

"WHAT?! ARE YOU CRAZY!?"

Donghae physically flinched from behind the door hearing Heechul yell.

"Kim Heechul does not put on half-assed weddings. Get your out here before I kick it for putting us off schedule."

Donghae groaned again, out loud this time, and half-heartedly opened the door to show the other the annoyed look on his face. Heechul just rolled his eyes at him and motioned for Donghae to follow right after him with his hand. The latter slumped his shoulders downs as he begrudgingly walked out of the bathroom and into the chair where a set of stylists were waiting to work on him.

As soon as Donghae sat down, one of Heechul's people placed a black cape over him while the other was quick to dab his face with white cream. Donghe tried his best to not make a face at them for doing their job but as soon as he felt the cold substance touch his skin, it was almost like instinct for him to flinch. It caused an immediate giggling reaction from the group of girls working around him which he chose to ignore. Heechul, who was standing right behind him, saw his reaction and softly bent the folder he was holding in half and used it to hit the top of Donghae's head.

"Ow!" Donghae scowled and held the top of his head with both hands while glaring at Heechul through the mirror. "Hyung! Why'd you hit me?!"

"Stop being a brat and just sit still. It's my job to make you look like a prince today so quit pouting."

Donghae's pout only became more apparent.

"This is stupid. Why do I need to do all this anyway?"

Heechul ignored Donghae's question and just gave his hair stylist the go ahead to start working on the latter's hair as he walked away to make a phone call. He discreetly looked back to make sure that Donghae was distracted and not looking at him before making his call. Heechul made sure that he was a good distance away and that he was completely out of earshot before dialing the number.

It only took two rings before the person he was calling answered.

"Hello? Siwon?" He greeted, his voice slightly more anxious than he intended it to be. "How's it going over there?"

"Things are fine here, Chul-ah." Siwon answered and peered to where Hyukjae was currently getting his make up fixed while his other staff finished steaming his suit. Siwon looked at his copy of the schedule then switched the phone to his other ear. "We'll be ready to leave in an hour. I've checked with Sungmin and he said that so far there are no press present in the venue so we're still good to go. The invitations were sent to the guests yesterday so they should be arriving soon."

"Okay, good. And the officiant? Jungsu's not answering my texts and it's pissing me off."

Siwon laughed quietly as to not aggravate Heechul even more.

"Don't worry, Heechul-ah. Leeteuk hyung's gonna be there." He said hoping that would be enough to ease his worries. "You know he turns off his phone when he needs to prepare for an event."

"This isn't 'an event' nor is it one of his MC jobs. This is his dongsaeng's wedding and I need to talk to him about it!"

"Whatever it is, I'm sure it can wait. Just focus on getting Donghae to the venue and we'll take it from there."

Siwon heard Heechul blow a raspberry over the phone and let out a small sympathetic smile when he realized how stressed out the other must be right now.

"Auntie Sehyun wouldn't like it if something ruins this wedding."

"Nothing's gonna happen to the wedding," Siwon assured the other then shifted his eyes to check on Hyukjae again. His eyes were now closed while the make up artist darkened his eyelids a little bit more, and Siwon couldn't help but smile as he thought about how much the other had changed Donghae in a matter of months. "Today's all about Donghae and Hyukjae. Nothing else."

Just as Siwon was wrapping up consoling Heechul, a sudden hard bump on his leg startled him and caused him to drop his phone down on the floor. He turned around and saw a wide eyed little girl looking at him in shock.

"Uhh...I-I'm sorry, Ahjussi." She bowed her head down in shame but Siwon just smiled at her and softly patted her head before leaning down to pick up his phone.

"Hey, sorry about that, but just relax. Fix Donghae up and we'll see you at the venue in a few hours." Siwon hummed affirmatively on the phone one last time before ending the call and shifting his attention on the little girl that bumped into him. He crouched down at her level and grinned curiously at her. "What's your name?"

"Pau." She answered.

"Pau?" Siwon raised an eyebrow at the familiar name and took a few seconds to realize why. "You're our flower girl, right?"

Pau pouted her lips and crossed her arms to show how annoyed she was at the label. "Yes," she grudgingly replied. "Umma said I have to for Uncle Hyukkie."

Siwon tittered softly before asking, "Do you not want to be a flower girl?"

"No, I do. I like wearing pretty dresses and I get to wear this flower crown today so I look like a princess!" She twirled around for Siwon one time to show how excited she was for her role before pouting once again and scrunching up her nose and brows as she moved on to share the only bad part about her day. "At the rehearsal yesterday, they said I have to walk with the ring bear and I don't like him."

"Ring...bear?" Siwon's brows met in the middle out of confusion. "What ring bear?"

"He's annoying and I don't like him! I told Umma I can carry the rings myself for Uncle Hyukkie and Uncle Hae."

Finally realizing what she was talking about, Siwon's amusement for Pau only grew. "Are you talking about Den?"

Pau scowled her face even further at the mention of the little boy's name and so simply nodded her head in affirmation. Siwon laughed at her childish reaction before standing up and offering his hand out for her to take. She automatically grabbed it without a second thought as he walked her out of the room to where one of the day's florists was currently putting together her basket of petals for the wedding.

Siwon got close to her and gently tapped her shoulders, his hand gestured out for the florist to hand over the basket to him. She was confused but seeing Pau's curious eyes, the florist decided that it must be for her to practice so she handed the basket to Siwon while she returned to sort out the fresh looking petals from the bad ones.

"Alright flower girl," Siwon got on his knees and showed Pau the basket of white petals dipped in royal blue color. "This," Siwon grabbed a few with his hand to give Pau a closer view of the shredded flowers, "is your job. You have to make the road pretty for your Uncles when they walk down the aisle. If you take the rings away from our ring bearer, then who's going to make the wedding all pretty?"

Pau bit her lower lip and grinded her teeth against it in contemplation. Her little fingers and softly reaching to touch the soft petals on Siwon's hand and making it fall back down on his palm before looking up at him with her round curious eyes.

"I want to throw a lot of flowers so Uncle Hyukkie can have a really pretty wedding!"

Siwon smiled and dropped the petals back in the basket then handed it back to florist who added more petals inside.

"Deal." Siwon said and made eye contact with the florist to make sure that it was filled to the brim. She nodded her head in acknowledgement before Siwon held out his hand for Pau to take and walked her back inside the room to make sure that Hyukjae was almost done with his hair and make up. He can't even imagine the kind of hell he would go through with Heechul if they were the ones to arrive late at the venue.

"Den!" Hankyung screamed and ran after his son who entered Donghae's changing room and let out a frustrated sigh when he saw him clinging on his brother's leg while he finished tying his tie. He and Donghae made brief eye contact before the latter looked behind him to the little boy who was gripping on his pant leg like his life depended on it before letting out a soft chuckle.

"What's going on?" Donghae asked with a laugh as he tried to balance himself while Den continued to hide behind him.

Hankyung just grunted and stomped over to his son who decided to go in between Donghae's legs and use his uncle's legs as his shield. Hankyung tried to go around to grab him away from Donghae but Den was much more resourceful than he gave him credit for and was able to dodge him quite easily. After several failed attempts, Hankyung ended up heaving out a hevay sigh before giving up altogether. He got up on his fe

And that little monster Den, killed me with that Baby Shark, song. Lmao plus that tackle and all out fight with Pao, hope i spelled her name right.
It was a little hard reading Dongwha as Donghae's father though. But i got over it as the story carried on.

Anyway, thanks for sharing!
