001 Years After

Perish in your arms

001 Years after

13 years later.

Kim Seon Jun sat on his luxurious sofa and laughed his heart out. He had cheated his enemy. The happiest thing happened that day was that.

The surface of the world is too innocent. Deep dark in the streets of Korea, lived a society where they live by cheating and killing. People turn their backs on each other in order to  be the best and to be the fearest among them. Same goes to Seon Jun. He, himself had stole the most precious painting from the Hyun family and surprisingly, he got a lot of cash out of it. How much lucky he can be?

‘”Like they say, everyman is the architect of his own fortune,” he smiled satisfiedly when his gaze fell on the table full with a stacked of cash.

With the last look, he ed his shirt and went to his bathroom. While he showers, he thought of every circumstance that might come his way. He knew someone would come and steal away his money. He had to worry eventhough the cash is now in his hands. Hyun Hwangkie, to his enthusiasm, was having an affair with the museum lady. That’s how he got to buy the precious piece with a low price. Apparently, Seon Jun had stolen it.

How he stole it? He had hired the most professional assassin for that. With the help of his assistant, the assassin agreed and now, he got the money. What a nice life. He thought.

Seon Jun wrapped a towel on his waist as he finished his shower and took the smaller ones to dry his hair. He was humming to an old song while he opened the door. To his surprise, he found the assassin he hired, stood in front of him.

Nam Woohyun smiled.

“Oh, Woohyun sshi, what brings you here?” Seon Jun was startled by the sudden stop-over, perhaps that’s what assassins do. Showed up where and whenever they wanted to.

He shrugged. “To kill,” Woohyun sneered.

“I beg your pardon?” he panicked.

“You know, you guys should stop this enemy stuff,” Woohyun muttered as he started to walk towards Seon Jun. “Hyun Hwangkie,” he paused. “You paid me to steal his painting and he, as I predicted, paid me to kill you,” he whispered to Seon Jun.

Seon Jun was shocked. He did know Hwangkie would sent someone but he didn’t realize it would be this fast. Yet again, it’s Woohyun whom was paid to kill him. “Security!!!” he yelled. Frightened by the smirk on Woohyun’s face.

“Shuu.. they’re sleeping,” meaning, dead. “You know, I do need some reasons,” he paused. “Well, for not killing you,” he grinned.

“I’ll pay you more! I’ll pay the triple amount of what he’s paying!” Seon Jun yelled. He didn’t want his life to end. Who would?

“Wrong answer,” Woohyun said and pull out his gun. Panic strike Seon Jun. Without hesitation, Woohyun pulled the trigger.

“Bam! And he’s dead,” Woohyun threw the gun on the floor. He stared at Seon Jun’s corpse. As an assassin, it was hard that he had to kill people without any mercy. But what can he do? It’s what he was trained for. “Nice working with ya,” he mumbled alone and made his way out of the room.

Nam Woohyun returned to his apartment that night, after receiving his payment. He whistled as he counted the greens he got. Unfortunately, as he entered his room, he smelled something. Perfumes other than his. He flung off the envelope to the coffee table. He was sure someone else is in his apartment.

He always hated visitors.

Abruptly, Woohyun switched the lights on and pointed his silver revolver to the person who stood in front of him. As he did so, another guy, who stood at the corner, pointed his gun towards him back. Woohyun scoffed. “I do not adore intruders,” he grunted. “You sure have guts my friends,” he said.

The guy stood to face Woohyun, introduced himself and to what Woohyun heard, his name was Lee Sungjong, an assistant for the Kang family. The other guy with the gun, is Kim Myungsoo. “We came here with reasons,” Lee Sunjong uttered while placing the briefcase on the coffee table.

As so, it was money Woohyun presumed. He lowered his revolver. “Speak.”

---------------------------------------------

While settling his customer, Jang Dongwoo eyed the person who just entered his bar. He then, walked calmly towards him. “Can I get you something?” he smiled.

Lee Howon nodded lightly and ordered a light coke. His eyes gaze upon the dance floor. He was amazed with this guy, Jang Dongwoo; the one who could manage this club and having his internal secret at the same time. The club works fine and Howon bet this guy makes a fortune.

Dongwoo walked to the bar with a smile on his face. He knew who Lee Howon is. An undercover policeman who recently being assigned in Lee ake’s case. Dongwoo came back with the light coke in his hand and placed it in front of Howon. When he was about to make his way back to the bar, Howon called out his name.

“I need information,” he blurted out.

“I thought so,” Dongwoo smiled and led Howon to the private room.
