Disappearance
Last LightOn November 14, 2021, from the house of Bang Yongguk and his husband Himchan, in South Korea, Jung Taekwoon and Lee Hongbin dissapeared.
There was no trace of them, not one, in the entire property there was no trace. No footprints, tire tracks, nothing left behind. No fingerprints on the exits.
Nothing.
The house was in chaos. No one knew what to do- no one knew how to help the frozen white-faced Wonsik, or the shaking crying Chanyeol. Himchan couldn't seem to get anyone to calm down, Zelo was crying; partly from fright and partly from his headache, courtesy of his drunkenness. Baekhyun was clinging to Chanyeol and trying to calm him; nobody knew what to do.
The police were not an option, as they would send Taekwoon back to the asylum the second they saw his eyes. They could get Hongbin back, possibly, but Himchan wouldn't risk it. Wonsik understood why, but it terrified him.
They had searched the entire property; it was now time to do what none of them had dreamed they ever would: to venture into the woods to the north of the property, where Yongguk had forbidden them to ever go.
That, he said, was where Jongup was lost.
They didn't know who Jongup was, or what exactly Yongguk meant by 'lost;' dead, or just vanished? But Wonsik would even risk those woods to find Taekwoon.
His whole body was shaking, his face white. He clung to Hakyeon as they took the first step, then the next, and the next, into the woods.
Wonsik loved woods, but something about these particular woods felt wrong. Something, too, about the name 'Jongup.' It was just too eerily familiar. He didn't know where, but he'd heard the name before at some point.
Something crackled near them and they both jumped. It was gradually getting darker, but Wonsik had grown up in the woods; his eyes adjusted to the dark easily.
The crackling came again. Wonsik stared into the woods near them and froze.
In a second, it was gone. But it had been there. He had seen eyes, and not just any. These were the only human eyes on earth that were like that; the center of the eye was pure blood-red, and it glowed just a little.
They were Taekwoon's eyes.
Wonsik raced to the spot he had seen them, but Taekwoon was gone. Once again, he had vanished without leaving any type of clue. It was as if he had melted into the shadow.
That, for some reason, was when it clicked.
Jongup.
Wonsik felt as if all the air had been out if his lungs. Ten years.....it had been ten years ago, but he remembered.
-Wonsik's wolf pack was not currently doing anything. Lazy days were Wonsik's favorite; he could play with the pups and sleep. He wasn't expecting anything exciting to happen.
But then, he heard a sound. A sound like someone crying.
Wonsik and his family raced to see what it was.
A small boy was huddled in the trees crying. He looked up and jumped when he saw the wolves, but relaxed slightly at the sight of Wonsik.
'They are....your puppies?' He asked.
'Mine,' Wonsik agreed. 'Come. You will be...not hurt. Brother,' he added affectionately.
After Wonsik explained to the pack that the little boy, who called himself Jongup, was no threat, the wolves accepted him. He and Wonsik grew up as brothers, sticking together over the years.
Four years later Wonsik was captured. He was sent to the asylum for another four years before Taekwoon came. He forgot Jongup completely.-
Wonsik felt chills. NOW he knew what was wrong here.
If this was the forest where Jongup dissapeared....
Then this was where Wonsik had grown up.
