chapter ten.

Jangmi and Hayoung awkwardly smiled at a comment from the landlady as they ate dinner, Eunjae trying use all of his charm on her to make sure she doesn't find any reason to kick him out. Dahyun eating quietly, beside her, as Eunjae asked about her skincare routine.

"Hey guys! I have some news?" Inna went from a statement to a question seeing an extra pair of shoes at the entryway. 

"Everything okay?" Daniel asked from behind her, she looked over to the kitchen and gave an awkward smile before turnign around.

"It might be better for you to go home. I'll send you my notes later." Inna said, her body tense, Daniel raised an eyebrow and nodded, closing the door behind him. Inna cleared . "Ms. Johyun, what a surprise." Inna said, hanging up her jacket and heading to the table.

"What was your news about?" Eunjae asked, looking at her expectantly.

"I bet her Daniel are dating now." Jangmi muttered, Inna pinching the others arm, earnigna  glare.

"It's nothing. I'll tell ypu guys later." Inna said, as Hayoung got up to get the older a plate and some rice.

They all waited till Joohyun was gone the next day to relax themselves, Inna falling into one of the chairs, Hayoung into the other, Eunjae onto the couch, and Jinwoo beside him. The only one that seemed fine was Jangmi as Dahyun had went to drop her mom off. 

"I HATE surprise visits." Eunjae groaned, Jinwoo and Inna sounding in agreement.

"Why did it seem like a switch flipped in everyone?" Hayoung asked, geniunely curious.

"Dahyun has only lived here for two years, we," Eunjae gestured to the older three "have lived under Joohyun's roof literally. It's the worst. None of us we were really home anyway between work and school but, every minute she was on us about something." Eunjae explained, Inna nodding.

"Why'd you guys stay?" Hayoung asked again, the group looking at her confused.

"You really don't know?" Jinwoo asked in disbelief, to which Hayoung shook her head.

"It's cheap." THe three chorused, even Jangmi shook her head. Hayoung nodding with an awkward smile. 

Jangmi scrolled on her phone pausing as she noticed Yanan's post on instagram, liking it then scrolling futher down she noticed Hongseok had posted a photo of him in the library with a pen in his mouth, with the caption: can it be friday already. She swallowed, glancing at her housemates to make sure none of them noticed if she smiled or not. Realising they were beginning to go their own ways, she left to her room. Jangmi closed her door, leaning her back against it as she smiled, biting her thumbnail. 

Hayoung put on a beanie as a final touch, grabbing one her coats out of her closet and her bag with her laptop and notebooks for class. Hurrying out of her room  knowing her, Eunjae and Jangmi had class near the same times. Hayoung walked into the living room seeing the two drinking milk in the kitchen, their bags by the door. 

The three walked to the bus stop, Hayoung between them, Eunjae on her left and Jangmi on her right. With it being colder, Jangmi had been riding the bus with them more, forgoing her bike. Jangmi wore a black turtle neck with a black hoodie over it and a pair of black wide leg p
