Chanyeol stares at the display of his screen, the game loading slowly as his phone is pressed against his ear tightly.

[the day was so exhausting. A giggle follows as Chanyeol starts the game. [So, while we're playing we could talk a little bit, right?] Chanyeol fishes out his headphones, putting them so that he doesn't need to hold his phone. "Of course."

[What did you do today?]

"Uhm, classes started today so I was basically at school and then returned to the dorm, nothing special. What about you?"

[Oh, My classes start next week. Me and my friend moved out today and some friends came to help us and stuff.]  Chanyeol nods. Right, he wanted to move to New York.

"That's cool. I'm from New York as well."

[Really? Oh my god, that's so nice. Maybe you could like show me your favorite places.]

Like meeting? Chanyeol stays mute for a second, biting his lip as the sounds of his keyboard ghost in the room. [Or maybe not-]

[That's awesome! I have a question] Chanyeol hums as he's busy with killing another player. [Sehun is your friend, right?] Chanyeol stiffens before a game over pops up on his screen, making him sigh in disbelief.

"Ugh, someone killed me.. Uhm, and ya he's my friend, why?" He looks over at Chanyeol who's eyes are closed by now, deeply drifted into his sleep. [I-I was just asking.] He furrows, starting the game again. Does he have an interest in Sehun?

[Oh no, that's not it. He's just so nice and it confuses me, you know.] Chanyeol bites his lip, saving Baekhyun from another player as his thoughts suddenly drift to Sehun and Baekhyun being in a relationship, which strangely makes kim cringe. That would be weird. "He's a nice person. [Oh, okay. I haven't had a relationship for like 2 years and get confused by things like that.] Chanyeol sighs, looking at his friends direction. I'm sorry. [It's not that I'm desperate or anything but having someone by your side doesn't seem bad at all. Everyone needs love right?]

"ya, I guess." Chanyeol sighs as they both lose, a game over appearing again. [Oh sorry, I was a little bit distracted I guess.]

"No, it's fine." A silence follows before Baekhyun's voice appeares on the other line again. [Do you want to FaceTime? I'm like really bored right now and we keep losing anyway. [Perfect. Can you call me in like 5 minutes?] Chanyeol hums a quiet "yes" before hanging up as he grabs Sehun's cap, which is placed on his night table, shoving it on his head. Way better.

He clicks on calling as he glances at his friend to make sure that he's still deeply asleep, taking off his glasses in a fast pace before inhaling sharply.
