“Will you marry me?”

Sana utters.

She is very nervous. She had never said those words to anyone. She had never ever confronted her feelings until now.

Mina looks at Sana’s eyes.

She sees sincerity and truthfulness.

She feels happy hearing the words that never came across their relationship. The ‘I love you’ was enough to make her stay.

To make Mina believe that Tzuyu needs Sana.

That both of them needs Sana.

But marriage?

A heavier commitment that requires a lot of things other than love.

It is not a decision that could be made in a quick thought, captive in the moment.

Mina wants to say yes. She wants to badly say yes.

But.

A flash happened in her mind if she says yes. Rather than moving backward, the flash happens for her future. For the future of her unborn child.

Unhappiness.

Struggle.

And a messy life.

Will now matters in the future? Mina asks herself.

Tears appear in her eyes.

And Sana’s face changed from excitement to disappointment.

“You don’t want to?” Sana nervously asks.

She does not want to hear the answer because it is written all over Mina’s face.

Before Mina could say a word.

Sana starts crying.

She is crying with tears appearing inevitably.

The feelings she has is worse than the feeling she had when her mother left them.

It is a very heavy blow that Sana does not know how to function.

She has a great scar about rejection.

What she is afraid of just happened before her eyes. The person she wants the most rejected her.

Rejected her proposal.

And that makes her feel suffocated.

Mina sees the reaction of Sana. Sana is catching her breath.

“Sana,” She calls in a worry.

Sana continues to cry like a child.

“Hey,” Mina moves to her. She hugs Sana.

It surprises her. This is the first time that she had ever seen Sana this broken and vulnerable.

Mina could see the pain. Sana loves her, she does a lot.

“Why are you crying?”

“You * sob* Break *sob* Up *sob* me” Sana tries to continues to cry.

Mina caresses her head. She is hugging Sana tightly.

“I am not breaking up with you, I actually love you too,” Mina says calmly.

Sana looks at Mina. She is still sobbing.

“But, why?”

Mina takes a deep breath.

“Because” She is not looking at Sana. She then holds on her tummy.

Sana is looking at her anticipating.

“Because I had a flashforward,”

“Flashforward?” Sana asks in confusion.

Mina looks at her sincerely.

“The life that we’ll have in the future, that flash in my mind, we’ll have a lot of problems financially that will damage our feelings and respect for each other, it will hurt Tzuyu eventually,” Mina speaks her mind.

Sana looks at Mina intently. The tears stop from appearing.

She understands Mina with everything she said. Childhood memories flash in her mind.

Her parents shouting because of not having food on the table.

Shouting because of not being able to pay Sana’s education funds.

Shouting because of the electric bills unpaid.

Shouting because …..

Even Sana could not even remember the reasons why, until her mother walked out. Sana followed her but…

Sana clenches her jaw. The pain she felt still lingers in her, a flashforward thought of Mina is actually Sana’s buried reality.

A life, like a history is to repeat herself, but this time, Sana will be her father.

And Mina will be her mother.

Tzuyu will be her.

Will be completely like her.

A person who gave up in life even before it begun, a person who is afraid of everything.

A person who wants needs her friends for a pillar.

And somehow, Sana does not want for Tzuyu to be like that.

To be used.

To be her.

It all came to her mind.

She cannot be her father and Tzuyu must not be her.

This will be the hardest decision Sana would ever make in her lifetime.

For Mina and Tzuyu, she knows she should.

She must.

Sana hugs Mina tightly.

Mina hugs back automatically.

The way Sana grips her is different from how she used to.

She feels that Sana does not want to lose her.

“I’m sorry,” Sana says honestly.

“Why?”

“I’m sorry because I never thought of the future, I did not think what life I would be able to give you and Tzuyu, I acted impulsively as I always do, would you forgive me?” Sana asks sounding matured.

Mina is surprised about Sana’s words. She had never expected Sana to be this type of person.

“That’s you, it’s okay,” Mina answers. Her head is on Sana’s chest.

She can hear the nervousness that Sana is feeling yet, Sana is unmoving.

“No.” Sana disagrees.

“It’s not okay Mina because it’s not just me anymore, I have you, and we’ll have Tzuyu,” Sana pulls away from the hug.

Mina sees through Sana’s eyes.

A certain fire of determination lights up.

Sana holds on Mina’s hand.

“I will try my best to be a good provider for you and Tzuyu,” Sana says seriously.

Mina smiles.

She cups Sana’s face and kisses her with a deep smack.

Sana automatically puts her hands around Mina’s waist.

“I love you,” Sana says in a relief.

She is happy saying those words.

“I love you too,”

Mina says happily.

She spread her legs and trap Sana inside it.

They are kissing passionately.

Until Mina stops.

She looks like she is in pain.

“Why?” Sana asks in worry.

“Tzuyu kicks so hard, she must be happy her Dad is finally getting a job,” Mina says proudly.

“Who said I am getting a job?” Asks Sana playfully.

Mina rolls her eyes.

Sana chuckles.

“Yeah, I guess I need a job,” Sana pecks Mina’s lips.

Then she turns to Mina’s baby bump.

“Heard that Tzuyu, Daddy’s getting a job, kay? So, all you need to be is be healthy, and study hard when you grow up, you also need to take care of your ten siblings coming,” Sana talks to Tzuyu.

“Yah?! Ten?!” Mina complains.

“Five?” Sana asks cutely.

“Get a job first!” Mina ordered.

“I will,” Sana says playfully. She nuzzles Mina’s neck.

Mina is happy.

This could be a fresh start for them. She hopes Sana isn’t going to forget about this. She hopes Sana would really change this time.

“You are IT”

Dahyun lively snorts out as she pats Chaeyoung head.

“Yah! You are supposed to hit lightly!”

The younger one complaints.

“Nayeon Unnie, Dahyun Unnie hit me!” Chaeyoung cries.

“Dahyunnie,” Nayeon calls. She is playfully glaring at Dahyun.

Dahyun lowers her shoulders. She moves to Chaeyoung and caresses her little sister’s head.

“Sorry,”

Chaeyoung hugs Dahyun.

They are too adorable.

Ever since they had Nayeon as their babysitter, they become closer.

Well, Nayeon has this certain skill. That is why every kid loves her.
