Dara quietly entered the abandoned hospital.

She heard footsteps coming towards her so she ducked into the nearest room.

She saw the figures pass, and she stepped out from behind them.

With her daggers in hand, she struck them both down.

The soft human Dara was gone.

The mermaid princess with a mission has taken over. 

No mercy.

She looked the men bleeding below her.

She didn't feel guilt. Nothing. Almost as if she turned off her emotions.

With that, she made her way up.

Jiyong sat on his bed.

The scales, the pearl...everything led him to only one thing.

Mermaid.

He read folktales about it, but he never really believed in them.

He shook it off.

Nah it can't be. Theres probably another reason.

She's gone...and there's nothing... nothing I can do.

He layed down as tears flowed from his eyes.

He missed her.

Dara saw a light up ahead and walked towards it. It led into a room.

She entered it clutching her daggers tightly, and there was Donghae in the middle of room, still tied.

His eyes widened as he saw her entered.

"Donghae.." she whispered.

Donghae has a very alarmed look in his eyes and he began to shake his head.

"What-" before Dara could ask, she heard someone crept up from behind her.

She dodged before that person could get a chance to attack.

3 more men stepped out and lunged at her.

Both daggers in hand, she charged at them full on, dodging everyone of their attacks effortlessly.

She had already knocked 2 of the men down, when all the lights in the room came on.

"Well well well..."  Mr Won said clapping from the window above them.

He looked down at the operation room.

"Dara-ssi, I don't understand why Jiyong is still not dead. Thought we had a deal" 

"There is no deal. I'll get Donghae out alive without killing Jiyong.  However, you're a different story. I'll kill you" Dara said.

"Oh really..." Mr Won chuckled.

Without warning, Dara lunged at the 2 men who were still up.

She was able to knock them out cold within seconds.

She cut Donghae loose.

"Dara...are you hurt?" Donghae asked jumping out of the bed.

"No, let's get you home" Dara said.

"Oh no you're not" Mr Won said and snapped his fingers.

Five more men ran through the door and headed straight for Dara.

"Stay here, run as fast as you can when I tell you to" Dara said and narrowed her eyes.

She flipped over men and pushed them aside to make a pathway for Donghae.

"NOW!" She shouted and Donghae ran, Dara behind him.

They dodged in and out of rooms till they found the staircase. Donghae and Dara made it out of the hospital, they continued to run till they hit a street.

They slowed down and carefully checked their surroundings.

Dara pulled Donghae into the closest cafe and sat down.

There were so much Donghae wanted to say, but he couldn't. He stared at the broken girl in front of him. She sat there looking out the window with a stone cold gaze.

"Dara..." he called out just above a whisper. He took notice of the cuts on her arm and face.

"You're not hurt right, they didn't hurt you right?" Dara asked as she snapped back into her normal self.

"yea.. I'm fine..but you're not" he said looking at her cuts.

"No they'll heal soon." Dara said looking at her arm.

"Dara.. don't go back there. Don't go back for Won"

"No..  I have to. I have to kill him. He's the killer of my mother...I need to. I need to do this for her, for Bom... I don't have a lot of time left" Dara said and stood up and walked out of the cafe.

Jiyong walked to the bathroom and washed his face.

His phone started to vibrate.

"Hello?"

"Jiyong-ssi. Dara.. she's in danger. I didn't know who to call... theres a long story, but we need to go stop her, or at least help her. She said she doesn't have a lot of time left...I don't know what that means.. just meet me.." 

Jiyong didn't even finish listening to what Donghae said. He rushed out the door and drove as fast to where Donghae said he was.

"Where is she?" Jiyong asked as Donghae got into the passenger seat.

"There is an abandoned hospital not to far from here. She's going in there to kill your uncle" Donghae said.

"What?"

"Long story, and I'm guessing she hasn't told you her secret. It's not my place to tell you. But you're uncle and the rest of the men on that ship killed her mother a couple years back. Remember that storm? It was that night. Dara vowed to kill everyone invovled" Donghae explained quickly.

Jiyong pulled up to the hospital and ran inside.

"Dara!" he called out.

He ran around the dark abandoned halls and checked every room calling out her name.

Please be okay...

She froze when she heard a familar voice call out her name.

"No.."

Please don't be here...

She ran back into the operation room.

"Come out you monster!" She shouted.

"Ah ah ah- I'm no monster. You are. You're half fish for gods sake" Mr Won said walking up to her.

Daggers materialized in her hands and she lunged at him, however before she got to stab him, her world went dark.

Jiyong watched as Dara was being dragged out of the room. His heart stopped.

He saw his uncle leading the way.

He quietly followed them to the roof top. 

Dara woke up when she hit ice cold water.

She blinked.

"Let's see what you can do there" Mr Won said looking at Dara.

It took her a second to realize where she was.

A tank.

There was a huge clear tank on the rooftop.

"You monster" Dara said.

"I heard you are my nephews girlfriend?" Mr Won said.

Dara narrowed her eyes.

"Which means, he'll come if he hears his girlfriend is in trouble right?" Mr Won said taking out his phone.

Dara shook her head violently.

Tears welled up in her eyes.

Jiyong... 

Mr Won handed the phone to Shin.

They waiting patiently as they anticipated Jiyong's answer.

However, the ringing came from behind them.

"Looking for me?" Jiyong asked walking up to them holding his phone.

Dara widened her eyes as she saw Jiyong walk up to them.

She shook her head.

"Let her go" Jiyong said to his uncle.

"Nice of you to join up Jiyong-ah" Mr Won said.

"Let her go" Jiyong repeated.

"You still want her? This monster fish? Oh nephew you must be under her spell" Mr Won said laughing.

Jiyong looked at Dara and smiled.

Tears fell from her eyes. She was going to say something, but her tail felt numb. She looked down and saw it slowly turn into foam.

"Jiyong leave. Run, don't worry about me. Please leave" Dara shouted to him.

"Dara your...your.. what is going on" He asked her looking at her tail.

"Looks like she is dying" Mr Shin said nervously.

"Men, get her heart before she dissolves" Mr Won said.

"You are a monster uncle" Jiyong said.

The men dragged Dara out of the water and layed her down and she shouted for Jiyong to leave, however there were two men holding him as well. 

"Dara..." Jiyong felt helpless.

"Jiyong, please be safe. I love you" Dara said as a knife cut into her chest.

Half of her tail was already gone.

"Dara..." Jiyong cried.

The girl he loved was dying in front of him and theres nothing he could do.

"Dara I love you" he cried as the men stabbed Dara's chest.

Time seems to have stopped.

A bright light beamed from Dara's chest, sending a minor shockwave blasting the men away from her.

She closed her eyes as she felt her legs slowly come back.

"There they are!" Donghae led the police to where Mr Won was standing- who was gaping in shock.

Jiyong sprung up and ran to Dara.

"Dara.. Dara"  she heard him call out his name before passing out.

She opened her eyes, and the first thing she saw was sleeping Jiyong by her side.

She smiled and started to get up, stirring Jiyong awake too.

"Dara are you okay? Are you hurt?" 

"No, I'm fine.." she touched her chest.

No scars, no wounds.

 "Dara why did you go after my uncle?" Jiyong asked.

Dara took a deep breath, shes ready to tell him the whole story...

"I'm...I'm lost for words, I..."

"I'm going to kill them. Every single last one" she said coldly.

"How about me?" Jiyong looked at her.

Something flashed over her eyes.

"No..Jiyong. I..I need to kill Won. I don't care how long he's going to be locked up for. I'm going to kill him. Whether it be 10 or 20 years. I'm...I'm not contempt" Dara said.

"Dara.."

"And all those other men that were involved." 

"Dara I love you"

Dara looked at him.

"Dara I love you" he repeated.

"I.." she face soften.

"I love you too"

Jiyong took this chance to kiss her. As their lips touched, Dara felt electricity inside her. He deepened the kiss and and cupped her face.

"What the ."

No way.

 Jiyong opene dhis eyes and jumped back.

"DARA." 

Dara looked up at the red head standing at the doorway.

"Hi.." she said sheepishly.

"I bust my all the way here because I was worried, but you're with this human? You didn't even bother to send me an ' I'm okay?' " Bom cried as tears formed in her eyes.

"I'M SORRY BOMMIE-AH" Dara cried out as Bom went to her bed and hugged her.

Jiyong immediatly backed away from the two sobbing girls.

When the sobfest ended, Bom turned to Jiyong.

"Bom, Jiyong. Jiyong, Bom" Dara introduced.

"So you're the human she almost gave up her life for" Bom said poking him.

"Yes' ma'am" Jiyong said and bowed slightly.

"I'm Bom. Her sister... and" a white shimmering trident materialized in Bom's hand. "...I'll kill you if you hurt her" she said pointing the trident at Jiyong.

Dara laughed awkwardly.

"Bommie stop.." Dara said pulling at Bom.

In a flash the trident disappeared.

"Dara you need to come home with me." Bom said turning to Dara.

"Why?" Dara asked looking at Jiyong.

"I don't know, Chaerin...she...she needs to talk to you. I wasn't even sure if you were alive.. but Chaerin said if the pearl worked, then theres some stuff she needs to talk to us about" Bom said.

"Alright" Dara said and got up.

"Wait where are you going?" Are you coming back?" Jiyong asked.

"Yea.. I will...I just don't know when..don't worry." Dara said.

Jiyong drove Dara and Bom to the nearest beach.

"Jiyong I'll be back, I promise." Dara said.

"Hurry" He said and kissed her.

He watched she wade into the water, he watched she waved goodbye, he watched her disappear under the water.

He missed her already.
