It had been a very long time since you had been out of bed this early, but the last thing you wanted was to annoy Baekhyun even more and to oversleep. So with a hurtful feeling in your heart you had set your alarm clock last night, knowing that in the morning you would be longing for your best friend like you had never done before. You wished that you could tell her about this, so that she could give you her advice. Elena had always been very smart in this kind of way, she would have been able to tell you what to do. It would also be nice to be able to talk about this with someone, who understood you and who was open to listen to your feelings, unlike your parents. And you weren’t sure if you could talk to your teacher neither, since what had happened between the two of you last night. It was clear that he had been pissed and you were angry because he was pissed. He didn’t have the right to scream at you like that, while the only thing you had been doing was telling him the truth. You would just have to face it, you were living together with your teacher, were supposed to marry him and the only reason why he did it was because your parents were offering him a huge amount of money. When you had been younger you had dreamt about finding your prince charming, the boy who would make you feel all those things they talked about in stories and in book, but you would never find him. And even if you did then you’d have to tell him that you were already on reserve for someone who didn’t deserve your heart. Maybe you could run away together, disappear to a lost island where no one would be able to find you and where you would be far away from all this drama. Maybe then you would be happy. 

With a sour face you tied your hair together into a high ponytail on top of your head, sprayed some perfume and then looked at yourself into the mirror. You weren’t able to hide the dark circles underneath your eyes or the pale color of your skin. You usually looked like this if you were about to get sick, or if a serious cold was about to come up. It shouldn’t be a surprise during this time of the year, during the winter people got sick all the time. Students would be stuck with each other in small classrooms while a few of them where couching their lungs out in the seat next to you or were clearing their noses and the snot would almost be flying out and stick against the black board. The stress you had been going through the past couple of days hadn’t really helped you to stand up against this. A big sigh left your lips before you turned off the lights and escaped out of the huge bathroom. This whole house was enormous, and you were sure that if you tried hard enough that you didn’t have to see Baekhyun as much as you thought you had to. You could always lock yourself up inside your room and tell him you were busy doing your homework. Maybe you could go out with friends, tell him you were staying at their place for the night, or maybe he would make plans himself. After what had happened tonight you had given up your last hopes on getting out of this situation. You knew how people could be if they really needed money for something, they were very hard to convince. You didn’t understand, he had a great job, what did he need that much money for? Maybe he was a member of a gang or something, god, you didn’t know a single thing about that guy. With slow steps you walked downstairs, knowing that he would be there somewhere. You had heard him getting out of his room while you had been in the shower, washing all your problems away. What were you supposed to say to him after his outburst last night? Honestly you just wanted to ignore him until he would realize that the way he had reacted had been wrong and he would apologize to you. 

But when you entered the kitchen and saw two plates settled on the table with a guilty looking guy sitting on one of the chairs, you thought that maybe you didn’t have to wait for that moment as long as you thought you had to. Your eyes went from the food to him and back as you crossed your arms over your chest and pretended to be angry. Actually you were just scared that he would still be angry because of the way you had yelled at him yesterday, and you hadn’t exactly been friendly. You had really acted like a spoiled brad yesterday, just like everyone believed you were. “I’m sorry about the way I yelled at you last night, I shouldn’t have.” He said and suddenly you noticed that he was indeed older than you, he did seem more mature than you had expected. Maybe that was what having a job did to people? You were eighteen, it wasn’t like you were still a child, but you just didn’t seem to be able to pull off the adult act like he did.
