She looks through her wardrobe finding the simplest tshirt she could find and take it out. The long sleeved shirt covers her body and she looks in the mirror brushing her hair . She then notices the faint scars via the reflection of her hand in the mirror. She puts  the hair brush on the table and pulls her sleeve up, the faint scars becoming more visible as she pulls it higher and higher. She sighs  as she takes a few bracelet she thinks might match with her shirt and put in on quickly. She walks out of her room walking in the living room seeing Taehyung sleeping on the couch.

"Yaaa wake up , its already 12 … you should eat"

Taehyung opens his eyes looking at her

"Where are you going?"

"Believe it or not I have a life other than being your 24/7 nanny"

He smiles as he gets off the couch and walks to her standing behind the washing sink and hugs her putting his head on her shoulder

"Nuna , you're gonna feed me before you leave right?

"I cant , Im already late , just buy ramen at the convenience store … I left money in your wallet"

He whines moving his nose on her shoulder

"But I cant, Last time I burnt myself while cooking ramen in convenience store"

She sighs untangling herself out of his grasp.

"Just tell your hyung to cook you food … What was his name? Hyunjoon? Minjun? "

"Namjoon Hyung, ughhh Nuna why are you being so salty?" He then smirks as he says "Are you jealous?"

She rolls her eyes "yeah sure … Lets say I am … can you just let me get to my meeting please?"

She says as she quickly take her jacket and put her shoes on as she walks to the door.

"But … Nuna …"

"I'll be late … don’t come home if youre drunk or I’ll kill you"

"I'll see … since you didn’t feed me I might consider it " He says as he flops himself on the couch again.

She just glares at him before opening the door and shutting it close behind her

"I am so sorry … you must have been waiting forever" She says apologetically as she takes a seat in front of him

"No I just got here … I already got you a drink … Cappuccino right?" Jungkook smiles looking at her sweating , evident that she was probably running all the way.

"Yeah … that’s great … thanks" She whispers as she tries to catch her breath. Stupid girl, if you were not overthinking about your stupid dinner with August D you wouldn’t be late. She smiles trying to ignore her thoughts.

"I know you must have been surprised by my text last night"

"No … that’s alright … whats up?"

"I talked to my dad … and he is happy to help us so I thought maybe it’s a good idea to finalize our interview questions before we meet him"

She shifts in her seat uncomfortably as she tries to get her thoughts together

"T..thats great … he must be really busy … are you sure you want to take his time?"

"Yeah that should be fine … actually he was surprisingly keen to help us"

She smiles feeling a pang of jealousy of the person sitting in front of her and she just voices out her thoughts unconsciously

"Youre really lucky … " she bites her lips immediately what are you doing? Why would you say that loud.

"Sorry?"

She gulps looking at him with hesitant eyes. "great how are you going to answer that now? Maybe you should consider staying up late more often " she hears her thoughts starting the war already. She quickly says the first thing in her mind to break the awkward silence

"B..because … your dad is really supportive"

He smiles bitterly looking down at his coffee cup.

"Not really … He usually doesn’t care … I guess this was an exception"

She looks at him , not sure how she should respond to him being so honest and looking a bit sad in front of her. She doesn’t know how to comfort people, because the only person she ever comforted is Taehyung. And all she would always do is sit there listening to him talking and crying for a while until he feels better. "youre really incompetent in human communications arent you?" she hears the thoughts looking down on her and she gets tangled In her inner conflict once again trying to defend herself

"I mean … I guess its kind of better not having him at all."

She hears herself as she let her guard down. He looks up as he's trying really hard not sound too curious

"how would you know?"

Here we go byul … what were you expecting? That he just keeps on going without asking any question about your super weird statement. She looks up smiling uncomfortably

" I … I actually … "

"you don’t have to tell me … I lost my mom when I was younger and I don’t like to talk about it as well … I hate it when people look at me with pity after I tell them" He smiles reassuringly 

She smiles suddenly feeling her heart feeling a lot less heavier

"I know … Its not like "Im sorry" or that pitiful look they give is really helpful"

He nods smiling as he grabs a piece of paper from his file and hands her

"These are the question I prepared … Since you’ve done a lot more research you might have heaps more questions … what were you most curious about when you were looking through hallucination?"

She gulps looking down at the paper

"I had a look … and there are some unknown aetiology to it that is still under research … but I was a bit more curious about insomnia and sleep deprivation hallucination"

"Oh … I had a look and there is not much researches on that right?"

"yeah … I guess its kind of that area that less attention is paid to"

He looked at her excited

"Then we might be able to work more on that and propose a research project idea to the department of psychology … if they like our idea they might even give us funds to do the research"

She shifts in her seat uncomfortably … I wish I could look at it the same way youre looking ... she thinks

"To be honest … the first day we got to partner together I wasn’t looking forward to this " He says shyly 

"Same …" She hears herself and bite her lips blushing in embarrassment as he laughs

"I seemed like a douchebag didn’t I?"

She quickly shakes her head

"No … not at all … Its just that …"

"I know I seem like one ... I would have thought the same if I were you"

"No you don’t … I have great skills at jumping to conclusion … that’s only my problem Jungkook not yours "

He laughs and she smiles at him a bit relieved that he isnt taking it seriously

"But still thanks for asking to do this with me despite all that … since we started this Im really excited and looking forward to doing this … and its all thank to you"

She looks up at him surprised as she smiles

"Its alright …  Im really happy that I have you as my partner … I wouldn’t be able to do this without you"

He smiles shyly taking a sip of his cup of coffe

She looks down at the page of questions ... I wish I could look at this as a university project … not diagnosing my own mental illness … She sighs as she starts writing her questions on the paper.

Jungkook stares at her …That feeling again …  his heart is beating faster again … he calls it curiosity … because he doesn’t know
