He opened the door, the dark walls of the house welcoming him in as always. He looked around sighing quietly as he walked in the small room at the end of hallway. His mother was sleeping on the couch quietly. He took out a blanket out of the wardrobe and neatly placed it on her slim figure. He then stared at her slim figure laying down in front of him while he sat beside her on the coach. He was slowly running his fingers through her cheeks when she gasped in pain and woke up immediately, terrified while looking around before seeing him.

-Mom

-Taehyung, You’re here? Where were you? Do you know how worried I was?

Taehyung helped her sitting up and whispered:

-You told me not to come in when that bastard is here. What happened to your face?

-Taehyung, you shouldn’t call him like that. He’s your stepdad.

-What happened to your face?

-Nothing.  I just fell while I was visiting your grandma.

Taehyung laughed bitterly:

-Why is it that every time that bastard is here you fall. Mom, if you want me to believe you should come up with more creative ideas.

-Taehyung, are you alright? Where did you sleep?

-Don’t worry I won’t sleep in street

-Stay with me tonight, He’s not coming. Ill cook you something.

-Don’t you have to go to hospital? The wound looks deep.

-It’s alright, if my son put some ointment it would be even better “she smiled back at him

-Alright, just stay here for a second” He nodded quickly sitting up walking through the bottles of alcohol in the kitchen as he reached to the cabinet to take the first aid kit down and walked back to the room. He then applied some sterilizer liquid on a cotton ball and slowly patted her scar.

-That feels good, It’s nice to have my son back.

-Mom, when are you going to stop?

 -Taehyung, what’s wrong?

-When are you gonna leave ahjussi?

-Taehyung, don’t say that. He’s my husband. I can’t just leave him.

-Hes just someone youre obligated to stay with mom, he doesn’t love you

-Taehyung stop! This is why I don’t want you to be here when hes here. What if he hears you saying this" she said as she got up walking to kitchen looking through the fridge

-Mom, he keeps hurting you. He doesn’t love you. He never did. I don’t care if he doesn’t want to be a dad to me but he shouldn’t hurt you.

-he's been  through so much, this is all due to his hard life. You should try and understand him.

He walked to kitchen cupping her face touching the bruise on her face very lightly as he said:

-we all have hardships mom, but it doesn't mean we can hurt others. I don’t want to see you like …

His words were cut off by the sound of building door opening with a loud noise. Taehyung looked at the door waiting as the footsteps were coming closer every second.

-Leave taehyung … you need to leave" whispered her mom

-Mom… Im not leaving you like this

-Leave … right now" she  said firmly as tears were starting to well up on her eyes as she pulled him toward the hidden door at the end of hallway and shut the door quickly in his face. He just stood there as he heard their voices as the door opened and he walked in.

-I heard a sound… was he here?

-Who are you talking about Yobo? I was waiting for you.

-the one who gave me this scar last time… next time ill see him Ill make sure ill give him the exact same one so he know he shouldn’t hit his stepdad.
