A feeling of uncomfort wakes me up. For a moment, I wonder if I’m hallucinating or I’m already dead. My vision is slightly blurry, my head feels dizzy, and I struggle to stand up.
A cold gust of wind pasts by me, immediately jolting me back to my senses. The breeze felt eerie and mysterious, not at all calming like it would at Earth. I was completely awake now.
I sit up and look around at my surroundings. I was lying on a narrow rocky trail, which explains my pain. Big, green trees lined up along the sides of the trail. Ahead of me, the path extended to a group of mountains, and from there, who knows. The sun shone brightly, but its rays brought anything but comfort. And to top it all off, strangely enough, the sky was a greyish color.

I was thinking so hard I didn’t even hear the sound of footsteps drawing near me.
“Excuse me, miss.”
Startled, I jump slightly and turn my head at the direction of the voice. Standing there is a young man around my age. He was dressed in a black leather jacket and ripped jeans that gave off a ‘bad boy’ vibe, which couldn’t help but make me feel uneasy. His amber eyes bore into mine, and his lips were curled in a frown. My martial art skills have gotten a bit rusty since, but nonetheless I was still prepared.
“H-hello.” I stood up, trying to hide my unsteady voice.
