Warning
Two Worlds Apart"You cant delete people out of your life. Forgetting them is hard and ignoring them doesnt work,"
"Eun-JI!" Jen screamed when she saw me walking down the hallway towards her with a bandaged arm. I gave her a sheepish smile as I approached my surprised group of highschool friends. "Hi,"
"Hi?" Kaity gaped before gesturing to my arm and bruised cheeks. "Hi? You dissapeared last night and show up with sudden bruises on your body and a bandaged arm and all you say is 'hi?' Lady, the hell happened to you?" Omi nodded in silent agreement.
My fingers instinctly found its way to the pendant hidden in my sweater pocket. "I..." my voice slowly died down for I had no excuse to tell aside from the truth.
"Oh C'mon guys! Get rid of that look on your faces. Can't you see her bandaged arm? Give her a break. She'll tell us when she wants to," Jen piped up in her defensive tone and proceeded to give me a gentle hug. "As long as you're okay,"
I couldn't help but smile. Jen was always the caring mother of the group while Kaity is the badass rebel with her red flaming hair and Omi is that quiet and silent girl that always have her head buried between books.
"I just got into a minor accident. Thats all. I really don't feel like talking about it. Another time okay?"
Kaity let out an annoyed huff before slamming her locker door shut. "Fine but you owe us an explanation okay?" I gave her an 'ok' sign with my fingers and we walked to class with Jen making sure that NO ONE reaches near my wounded arm. All the while, my palm was tightly wrapped around the cool silver pendent in my sweater. As History class started, I couldn't help but reminisce about last night.
I stepped out of the club and shivered at the cool breeze of the night. I regretted wearing a short and sleeveless dress today. It was freaking cold!
My legs kept stumbling as I tried to hold onto a lamppost. "Stupid heels," I slurred. I groaned in frustration when I accidentally toss my new heel across the street while I attempted to yank them off.
I dizzily walked to the street, not bothering with the flashing red light from the 'don't walk' icon. "Happy bloody birthday Kaity. I wouldn't be here if you weren't legally 18 now," my words came out in a jumbled mess.
I stood up after picking my heel that was laying on the floor, totally oblivious to the bright flasing light of a speeding car that was coming straight at me.
All I heard was a loud horn and screeching of tyres before my whole life flashed before my eyes.
Even in my state of almost being wasted, I prayed.
I apologised for all the sins I've done. I apologised for my recklessness with my life and I prayed for God to let me live longer
