From Head to Toes Writing Contest

Hello everyone! Sorry this is slightly late! My internal clock is off right now, because of finals. ^^; Thank god I'm finally over with them. :')

Anyway, there are just TWO days left until the contest deadline! As a reminder, the countdown timer is linked on the foreword, so you can use that to keep track of exactly how much time you have left! Currently, a little over a third of the submitted entries are complete, so if yours is still incomplete, good luck on finishing it! If you need an extension, please contact me! And if you haven't submitted your entry yet, please do so ASAP! Time is ticking, so you don't want to miss out!

In regards to the judging process, I will start reading the completed entries on December 16. Those with extensions will be read once they are completed by their extension dates. I'll use the story feed to update you guys on my progress in this format: [MM/DD] # entries read / # total entries (i.e. [12/18] 3 entries read / 20 total entries). That way, there is complete transparency, and you guys can estimate when I might be finished and check AFF around then. I do have several personal projects that I will be working on during the holiday season, as well as lab research and meeting with friends over winter break, but rest assured that everything will be read and judged by the first week of January. :) I will also be writing short notes for each story to help me decide how to rank the entries and at the contest's conclusion, if you'd like to know what my thoughts are, I will gladly send you these notes. And if you'd like a full-length review sheet instead, I can write one up for you instead of the short notes. Just let me know, since it saves time for me to write a review sheet in the first place instead of expanding on my short notes later on.

I can't think of anything else to add right now, but if there's something important that I forgot to write here, I'll include that in tomorrow's update. My brain is currently mush, LOL. OTL

Chapter 25: Thank you so much for hosting! It's been a hell of a ride and a hell of an inspiration for me, personally as a writer, and I really appreciate all that you've pulled through with, even through everything that's happened lately. So thanks for all the hard work and dedication you've put into this contest, and all the positive vibes you've created as well.

Chapter 25: first of all, i'd just like to say thank you so much for hosting this contest. you've been having an extremely rough time and i'm so happy you're feeling well enough to announce winners. everyone has been taking jonghyun's passing really hard. it took me a solid three days to realize it was real and not some news source's sick, awful prank.

i'm really grateful i was able to place eighth despite the fact that everyone was confused af in my comments. i was super nervous that it was horrible or something. congrats to all of the winners!!

Chapter 25: Thank you so much for hosting this contest! This is my first time participating in one and you made it as enjoyable as possible for me with the list of prizes and updates. honestly speaking I have been on writer's block for months ever since Pretend was published but somehow reading this today really made me wanna just sit down in front of my laptop and quickly start on my half-completed stories. I guess it's the motivation to do better :) anyway, thank you again!

Chapter 25: Ahhh, I’ve never actually participated in a contest before - I always said to myself ‘maybe I’ll do that!’ and then I never did. But I’m glad that wasn’t the case this time.
Thank you for doing this contest, and thank you so much for your message on Jonghyun. I’ve only just been able to start reading stuff again so I can only imagine how hard it was for you. But you did it! You read all the entries and you finished this contest, that’s as much of an achievement as people finishing their stories. And on the topic of finishing stories... I finished one! Granted it was a one-shot but I finished it! I am glad that I found this contest 24 hours before the deadline... because it gave me a push that I needed. But next time I’ll definitely look towards joining before the deadline hahaha
No matter what my ranking, I’m happy with myself for writing something so thank you for helping me to do that :)
And I’m happy with my ranking too!
