In Your Eyes

Frankie heaved a sigh of relief as she exited the visual and performing arts building, turning her face towards the sky as she ventured out onto the sidewalk. She was finally finished with her 3D Design class, and her next one didn’t start for another two hours; she was going to go home and eat a Hot Pocket or two, and maybe take a quick nap before she set out again for her second class.
With a smile at the thought of what was to come she opened her eyes and turned her attention back to the path ahead of her, heading around the building and up the sidewalk towards the Houses. Of course, there was always the option of taking the Cobra up to the Houses, but they were only a ten-minute walk way; she figured that she would save her laziness for when she had to start bringing her portfolio to class. She reached the Houses and headed down the street into their general area. As she turned towards the Second House the sight of something gleaming on the sidewalk ahead caught her attention, making her focus her attention on it.
Standing directly outside of the Second House was a guy, dressed in jeans and a white untucked button up shirt, the sleeves pushed up to his elbows. In his arms was easily the biggest teddy bear Frankie had seen, along with a large bouquet of what looked to be red roses; anchored to him was an impressive cloud of colorful balloons, bearing words that she couldn’t decipher from that distance. Frankie’s walk slowed to a stop and she furrowed her brow, leaning forward a little as she tried to concentrate on the identity of the stranger standing in the middle of the sidewalk; her heart skipped several beats as the features came together in her vision to form a very familiar face.
“Shuya…?” As she spoke his name out loud, she became absolutely sure that it was him; he shifted his weight a little and adjusted the items in his hands but otherwise did not move,
