Frankie had hoped that AIASF’s relatively up and down, square block layout would make it easy for her to make her way around, but AIASF’s up and down, square block layout was useless against the fact that she had simply forgotten where her dorm was.   Moving week was over, and the fall semester had begun. She had gone to one of the two bookstores on campus after her Writing I class, prematurely confident in her knowledge of the campus. This bookstore, unlike the one in the student center, was nestled on the side of the campus that faced the bay, somewhere off-center, between the COLABS building and a museum, that she hadn’t seen on her way in the week before. To make matters worse, she decided to take matters into her own hands and walk, unable to bring herself to ask anyone for directions; twenty minutes later, she was still near the bay, only now she could see a greenhouse in the distance, and was accompanied by the math and science building, and the colossal sports center. Frankie sighed with weary frustration, moving to take a seat on one of the benches lining the math and science building and turning her eyes to the water. She was ridiculously lost, and she was almost positive that the Second House wasn’t even that far away (that’s usually what happened whenever she was lost) but she knew that she would only make things worse if she tried to continue on by herself. She would have to find and ask someone for directions soon, before she ended up back in San Pablo somehow.   She sighed again, preparing herself to get up and heading into the math and science building, to see if she could find someone to direct her; she was just standing up when the back entrance door opened. Her eyes widened at the sight of the guy emerging from the building, his eyes intent on the phone in his hand. He looked up and over at her, and to her surprise his eyebrows rose in surprise as well, recognition crossing his handsome features.   “Oh hey, it’s you,” Shuya called out, pointing at her. “From Trader Joe’s, right?”   “Um, y-yeah,” Frankie responded with a nod. “You remember?”   “Sure; you saved my ,” Shuya responded casually, a smile on his face as he walked up to her. Frankie smiled as well.   “I was happy to help…”   “I’m Shu,” he said suddenly, holding his hand out to her. “Shuya Nishijima, but everyone calls me Shu.” Frankie hesitated out of sheer surprise before slipping her hand into his, feeling his large palm and fingers envelop hers as they shook hands.   “Frank
