Shuya was sure that no one would believe him when he said that he wasn’t intentionally avoiding Frankie. Guilt, doubt and curiosity led him to allow Erika into his mental space again after the first time at his job. She knew what buildings Frankie was in at the times that she was in them, which only made her statements more reasonable – for him, at least. His turmoil had driven him away from Frankie, as he focused his attention on work, and soccer – things that made sense. Frankie was too kindhearted and gentle to confront him about his behavior; that was something that Hikaru could expect from Noa, if he chose to change his ways.
