Sora's POV

2 days later Jongin is being released from the hospital. While Chanyeol goes to pick him up I head over to his place to fix up his room and make him a surprise dinner. We all know he's feeling terrible about the injury so we just want to make him feel a bit better so he doesn't feel so guilty.

After fixing up his room, I head over to the kitchen to make his favourite food. Chanyeol tells me he loves chicken and spaghetti so that's exactly what I make for him. Once the chicken and spaghetti are finished I get a text from Chanyeol saying that they're outside of the house.

I hear the door being unlocked and chatting in the foyer. Suddenly there's butteries in my stomach. I'm super nervous to see Jongin. I know he's hurting but I hope he realizes he's strong enough to pull through this.

"Sora, we're here!" Chanyeol's voice resonates through the house making me jump.

I head over to the living room to see Chanyeol flopping into the couch and Jongin sitting quietly in his wheelchair staring out at the window.

"Hey Jongin. How are you feeling?" I approach him dropping to my knees and placing my hands on his knees.

He flinches slightly. "Don't do that."

I remove my hands with a frown. "Do what?"

He sighs running his fingers through his hair. "Pity me. I don't want you feeling sorry, okay?"

"Jongin I don't feel sorry for you but I do feel sad that this happened."

"Just don't okay, nothing will change it so just don't."

Jongin wheels himself out of the room leaving me a little hurt by his words. Why is he making it difficult for me to care about him?

"Don't sweat him. He's just upset because of what our manager told him." Chanyeol says trying to console me as best as possible.

"I should've warned you before. Jongin is quite sensitive; especially when it comes to dancing. If he doesn't get to debut with us he might never want to be part of EXO."

I bite my lip nervously. "What should we do then?"

"I would say give him space but I think him being alone will make it worse. Just tell him how you feel and tell them that you'll be there for him. I know deep down he really needs you."

I smile fondly at my brother. "You always seem to have the best advice thanks."

I leave the room and search for my boyfriend. He could be anywhere and I've only been to his house once before so I have no idea where he'd go.

"Jongin?" I call as I notice the kitchen door is wide open. Walk outside to see Jongin laying on the grass. With a frown I walk over to him and sit next to him on the ground.

For a few moments we don't say anything. And when Jongin finally looks my way I notice tears welling in his eyes.
