Boy ProblemsPrologue: In Denial
Jihoon knows it isn’t normal to feel flustered and nervous when your childhood friend of sixteen years shows up to your home. However, the small male can’t help but feel his face flush a little too pink, and the temperature rising a little too high.
It’s a fever, Jihoon presses.
“S-Seungcheol? What are you doing here?” Jihoon questions, his tone shy and timid than the usual. The boy curses inwardly at his strange act, however, the taller doesn’t take much notice, taking large strides into the house.
“I thought that we were going to walk to uni together? We agreed on it last week, remember?” Seungcheol pouts, thinking that his best friend has forgotten about the late night talk from Friday.
Jihoon does remember but puts up an innocent front for a tease. “What? When did we?”
“It's okay. Have you eaten yet?” The other sighs and grabs his bag before pulling out a small plastic box. The noticeably large Poporo catches Jihoon’s attention and before he can stop, a small snicker escapes his throat.
“Don’t laugh.” Seungcheol clears his throat. “I kind of left my lunchbox at Jeonghan’s. I only found this at home.”
The light feeling vanishes at the mention of Seungcheol’s new friend.
Jihoon knows he’s unreasonable to retain bitter feelings towards the unknown male but he can’t help but feel vulnerable when Jeonghan takes Seungcheol’s attention away from him.
Are they drifting?
It’s a question that he frequently thinks about when he lies in bed. He realises how university is ending
