Hyuna gazed into Hyunseung’s sparkling grey eyes when Junghyun mentioned working on the song.  She needed to know the truth behind his sadness.  She was mesmerized by the power his eyes exerted over her ever since he swayed her in his arms dancing to Troublemaker for the first time during practice together.  But now, Hyuna appreciated a sense of inexplicable fear in his gaze.  Hyunseung took a step away from Junghyung.

“What song are you talking about?”  Hyuna asked in earnest given that they had not produced a song together in nearly 5 years.

“One for the new 2016 Beast album, a special track.  We have the recording time set up in the studio.  This time it’s going to be a big hit like Change.”

“The rap lyrics you didn’t write.”  Hyunseung snickered. 

“I wrote Bitter Day with Hyuna.”

Bitter Day was a sad song about love lost.   G.Na sang the song on Hyuna’s debut album.   Hyuna did not know why Junghyung brought it up.  In Beast’s earlier days when the band was called B2ST, she was undeniably attracted to Junghyung with his slightly standoffish no-care attitude.  She tried to break through his shell but Junghyung only seemed to care only about Junghyung.   

“I’ll do the choreography for the song,”  he said.  

Junghyung grabbed Hyuna’s wrist without warning and she pulled away from his tight grasp. She did not want to be a pawn in their game and be caught in a trap.

Hyunseung chuckled. 

“You shouldn’t be laughing, bad boy.   You are not part of Beast anymore.”

“I am a solo artist.”

“You said it, sunbae.”  Junghyung smiled victoriously.  He had won the fight. Hyunseung gently pulled on his hoodie and silently exited the practice room like a beaten down boxer.  Hyuna hated Junghyung even more when he bullied Hyunseung.

“Those were harsh words,” she told Junghyung.   Junghyung ignored her comment; he fixed his hair in the dance mirror. 

“Make it quick, the girls are coming in for practice any second.“

“I thought you liked it slow with him,” scoffed Junghyung. 

Hyuna held back the urge to slap him.  He was being a jerk for no reason other than to get under her skin. 

“Have you ever liked me?" Junghyung asked.  "I mean tell me the truth.  Have you ever thought about me in the same way you do of Hyunseung?”

He was her first love, but she always suspected that Junghyung used her to get to date her best friend Hara.  He flirted with her, bought her a cell phone charm with sparkling gold stars near the Portuguese church while on tour in Macau, and then he asked her to invite her best friend to the video arcade.  He showed off winning a stuffed pig but instead of gifting it to her, he gave it to her BFF with a kiss. 

She was not up to playing games with Junghyung
