Can I trust you?

Hold Me Tight - (VKook/BTS)

Ⓣaehyung couldn’t help but to stare intently at Jungkook. He said ‘I love you’ to him. He actually said that. By why didn’t it make him happy? Because he was still doubting him?

“Believe me,” Jungkook said, “you need to believe me.”

Taehyung was about to protest more, bit the words wouldn’t leave his mouth, and keeping a straight face became harder and harder for each second that passed. Just being close to Jungkook made him feel weak.

Was Jungkook really this kind of person? Was he that person who played with someone who had feelings for him? Was that the kind of human Taehyung fell in love with?

No, that’s not right. Jungkook wasn’t like that. He was the nicest guy Taehyung knew. He was an angel who’d never hurt a fly, and he wouldn’t hurt him like this. He couldn’t. He wouldn’t.  But Taehyung was too convinced he’d never return his love to him.

“You’re…telling the truth?” he asked, but it came more out as a whisper.

Jungkook nodded, a smile creeping up on his face. “I do! Do you finally believe me?” he smiled with his angelic eye-smile.

Taehyung didn’t answer as he thought for a moment. “Can I trust you?”

Jungkook nodded right away with the happiest smile the blond male had ever seen on him. “Yes! Of course!” he yelled; both of them jumped at his sudden loud voice that none of them expected. He quickly cleared his throat and added, “you can definitely trust me.”

He leaned in closer to Taehyung, but he was very slow to see the other’s reaction. Now Taehyung wasn’t protesting, and he had closed his eyes to wait for the moment; the sight made Jungkook giggle, and it also caused Taehyung to open his eyes again.

“What are you doing?” he whined embarrassed over he was caught.

“You’re just too cute when you’re waiting for me to kiss you,” Jungkook said right away, not even embarrassed from saying it, but Taehyung definitely was.

The blond boy snorted, trying to act cool again. “Jerk,” he mumbled as he shoved him slightly away, but Jungkook only took a grip of his hand and held him tightly to his own body.

“I know you didn’t mean that,” he whispered, being really close to Taehyung’s face now, “do you want me to kiss you?”

Taehyung felt like dying from embarrassment. He was not made for this. He hated conversations like this; it was just too embarrassing. Of course he wanted to kiss Jungkook. He had dreamt of kissing Jungkook for years, but he never thought it’d actually come, but now it had, and he was asking him if he wanted to? Hell yeah.

“Of course I do,” Taehyung breathed as he just quickly placed his hands behind Jungkook’s head and pulled him closer to himself and kissed him like a man. He felt braver by the fact Jungkook told him he loved him; when Jungkook said he could trust him, he really did.

“Wow,” Jungkook gaped as a chuckle followed when the kiss ended, “didn’t think you had it in you,” he smirked.

Taehyung rolled his eyes as he let the other go. “You never know a person fully.”

Jungkook didn’t seem to fancy the idea of letting him go, and therefore he just remained having his arms wrapped around the other’s waist.

“What is it?” Taehyung asked when he realised he didn’t let him go of him.

“I just want to continue to hold you,” he smiled back.

Taehyung tried his best to hide his blush. “You’re stupid,” was all he could think of saying, although he sounded more like the stupid one. “I need to finish up my homework.”

Jungkook couldn’t protest him in studying, and therefore he laid down on the sofa behind him, staring longingly at him whilst remaining quiet. Although he did have an itching question he wanted to ask right away. “Can I ask you something?”

“Don’t ask me when I fell for you, please,” Taehyung sighed as he continued writing down the answer to a question, not even looking up at him.

“Fine, I won’t,” he smirked, and then remained quiet, although as seconds passed, his body was itching into moving, and without giving Taehyung a heads up, he kissed him passionately and long, even asking for entrance with his naughty tongue, but Taehyung didn’t allow it; not yet.

The following day at school Taehyung wasn’t sure how he should’ve acted. Jungkook didn’t mention anything about how they’d be at school, or if they were anything at all. Are we boyfriends? Taehyung thought to himself. Or was he just joking around after all?

No, he thought, Jungkook isn’t like that, and I trust him.

The happy boy couldn’t help but to grin, even though he was at school. Jungkook was way more into skinship. He kept wanting to touch Taehyung, way more than before, and he kept going for kisses. As Taehyung was not used to it yet, he was taken aback at times, but when he was prepared, he made sure they were both enjoying it. But when Jungkook tried more than kissing, Taehyung couldn’t help but to turn shy and stop what he tried to do.

“You sure look happy,” someone commented right behind the blond male as he stood by his locker. He didn’t realise he had just been standing there, staring at his books as his mind had resumed to the previous night’s events. “Did something special happen?”

Taehyung tried to remain as calm as possible to not please the other. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he mumbled as he picked out his Math books and shut the locker.

“Come on,” Hoseok grinned, “it’s written all over your face Tae.”

Taehyung sighed defeated. “Alright, but don’t tell anyone, okay?”

“Yeah yeah of course,” he replied, excited his friend would for once tell him something.

“Jungkook…” he started, making sure the said boy wasn’t around, “kissed me.”

Hoseok gasped, loud enough to be heard by other students passing by, whom turned their heads in their direction. “He kissed you?” he nearly yelled, causing Taehyung to panic.

“Keep it down idiot,” he snapped, “and yeah. I don’t know what we exactly are, but he told me he likes me now, although he didn’t really say much more,” he explained, avoiding the details.

Hoseok rolled his eyes. “You fool,” he yelled, gobsmacking Taehyung, “he loves you! How can you be this ing dense? If he kisses you and confesses to you, then he obviously loves you! And he’s not the type to keep things in secret.”

Taehyung thought about it; although everything Hoseok just said made sense, he still wasn’t sure. Jungkook may return his feelings, but would he be so open about it? Everyone expected him to be straight, especially after have been in a relationship with a girl, and now he was suddenly gay? People would think he never had feelings for Areum in the first place, and that’d break her heart; Jungkook would never do that to an innocent girl.

“Hey guys,” a new voice appeared, which made Taehyung’s heart melt immediately by hearing.

Of course Hoseok never had plans to stay quiet from the beginning, he let out a creepy grin directed towards him. “Heeey Jungkook,” he dragged his greeting, “heard you had fun last night.”

Taehyung shot his friend a glare right away. “Hoseok!”

“What? Am I not allowed to ask?” he grinned cheekily.

“Sure,” he replied unsure and glanced at Taehyung confused, who only avoided his gaze.

“Well, I’ll leave now,” Hoseok smirked, “don’t wanna be the third wheel.” He winked at both of them before disappearing, leaving the two males together awkwardly.

“What was that about?” Jungkook giggled, avoiding looking directly at the other in the eyes.

“Who knows,” Taehyung replied, just as nervous, “he’s Hoseok after all.”

Jungkook chuckled at his comment. “True,” he smiled.

After their giggle had died out, it had turned awkward again, something Taehyung absolutely hated. He didn’t want to be awkward with Jungkook. That’s what he had feared all yesterday; the following day would turn awkward between the two of them.

“I’m sorry,” Jungkook suddenly apologised, interrupting the blond boy’s thoughts.

“For what?” he asked confused. He mentally prayed he wouldn’t apologise about yesterday.

“For being awkward right now.” Thank God.

“Don’t apologise. I expected it to be,” he mumbled, but audible enough for Jungkook to hear.

“Yeah,” he said, “I’m not really good at this.”

“Good at what?” Taehyung asked, “you have been in a relationship before.”

Jungkook giggled nervously. “I haven’t been in love before now though.” Taehyung almost thought he heard wrong as he spoke with a low tone, but by his obvious nervousness, he knew he heard right, and it made him blush madly.

“AWWW!”

The two males who were standing pretty close jumped away from each other in surprise, both turning their heads at the speed of light, spotting the same third wheeler.

“Are you ing kidding me Hoseok?” Taehyung growled at him.

“Thought you didn’t want to be the third wheel,” Jungkook grinned at him.

“I got bored,” he said with a yawn. “Besides, I’m not going to allow you to steal my best friend,” he said with a jokingly stern voice as he threw his arms around Taehyung’s shoulders.

“We’ll see who he’ll choose,” Jungkook smirked, which only made Taehyung snort unexpectedly loudly. “Which is obviously meant for you,” he smiled at Hoseok.

Hoseok whined at Taehyung - who ignored him - and not longer after the bell finally rang as the class would start. They hurried over to their own classrooms, and now Hoseok had the chance of talking to Taehyung alone.

“Did you ask him?” he whispered excitedly.

Taehyung frowned at him. “Ask what?”

“Oh for Christ’s sake Tae,” he cried, “if he’ll be your boyfriend, you !”

“Keep it down airhead,” he snapped back, “and no I didn’t ask.”

“Why not? Are you waiting for him to ask or something?” Hoseok realised he was right when the other only blushed in reply, which made him roll his eyes almost to the back of his head. “I can’t believe you’re so slow. You can’t wait for him to do everything you know,” he snorted, “ask him. Today.”

Taehyung stayed silent, and luckily the teacher appeared by starting the class, making Taehyung think of how he’d ask Jungkook later, or if he would even ask at all. He sure didn’t want this chance to slip away, but if he didn’t, would Jungkook just let it go and they’d go back to being friends only? Wasn’t that very unlikely, especially as he told him he liked him back? Taehyung wasn’t a brave person to begin with.

He’d understand, won’t he?
