Yuto's POV:

As they walk to the park, I see a familiar dark figure hiding behind a tree, watching them.
I sneak up behind this guy, thinking he's a ert, ready to take him on.
Suddenly, the man turns around.

"What? Why are you here, DAIKI?!"

Daiki spins around, expression astonished.
The man I thought was a ert turned out to be a boy!
And not just any boy; he was my best friend.
Still in my fighting position, we stand there in awkward silence.

"Yuto....wha-what are you doing here?" he asks, his voice a panic. 

"Ah! I asked you first!" I yell.

Daiki sticks his chin out indignantly.

"I'm checking up on my best friend," Daiki says. "What are you up to?!"

"I'm...checking to see what Ryousuke's doing," he says, trying to cover up what he was really up to.

Daiki gasps.

"Oh my gosh, Yuto, I didn't know that you were...that you were...g-ga~"

"WHOA, don't even think of saying that!" I yell at him. "I'm not gay, and at least I'm not hiding behind a tree like a real ert!"

An old woman overhears our conversation.
Her face twists in rage under a million folds of wrinkles.

"BE QUIET, YOU KIDS!" She yells, waving her cane at us. "KIDS THESE DAYS...THEY HAVE NO RESPECT...!"

We hurry away before the old lady kills us with her almighty cane.

We pant a little for a while.

"Wait," Daiki huffs.

"What?!" I growl angrily.

"Where...are....they?"

We whip our heads around, searching for the familiar heads of Hinata and Ryousuke.

"Great," we say at the same time.

Hinata's POV:

"Okay, so testing time!" I say, clapping my hands together.

Ryousuke nods and smiles.

"Go for it."

"What is Ayumi's favourite colour?"I quiz him.

"Oh, that's easy," he says. "It's pink."

"Her favourite food?"

"It's sushi, but she'll eat anything that isn't sweet," he answers.

I rattle off some more questions, to which he answers correctly.

"And the last question is..." I say slowly, adding more suspense.

Ryousuke leans forward.

"What do you think would be her ideal date?" I ask.

"Wait, that wasn't in the things you told me about her!" he says.

"Well, try adding all of the things I told you together," I say. 

He rubs his chin in thought.
Pursing his lips, he answers.

"Then I guess it could be...doing something active, like playing a game of basketball or soccer, or going out to a movie and watching a romantic comedy, which we then follow with dinner at a sushi place, and maybe I could give her a gift - something pink - that she picks out at the mall."

He looks at me desperately, raising his eyebrows.
I nod my head in approval.

"Very good, Ryo-chan!" I say.

He lets out a breath in relief.
We had spent the day at the mall, while we had bought more strawberry treats and some eggplant (another favourite food of the both of us.)
We had bought a bunch of things that Ayumi would love to have: new earphones - since hers had broken down a long time ago - a heart-shaped locket - she had always wanted one, but for some reason, she always forgot to buy one - and some new sports clothes.
Ryousuke had also bought a new notebook so he could write all the things he learned about Ayumi today.

"Also, Ayumi likes good listeners," I add. "She can run all day if someone lets her. You might not want to let her do that, but she would appreciate it if you would hear her out on the crucial parts."

Ryousuke jots down some more notes.
I realize that he looks so cute when he's doing that - studying so seriously for the girl that he likes.
It makes me want to pinch his cheeks.
I settle for tickling him.
I tickle his sides.

"Ah!" he says, then starts laughing uncontrollably. "No...not my sides...I get so ticklish...there..."

His pencil is still on the notebook, and it's making all sorts of scribbles on it.
I giggle and let him go.

"You're so funny, Ryo-chan..." I say.

"Oh, yeah?" he says, then starts tickling me on the sides.

I break out laughing.

"No...my sides is my...weakness..."

When he lets go, we're still laughing.

"Hey, Hina," Ryo-chan says. "Did you ever notice that we have personalities that are exactly the same?"

I think about it.

"Whoa...that's kind of true," I say. "That's so weird!"

We laugh together, and then I notice that we've reached my bus stop.

"Oh, well, I guess I have to go now," I say. "Bye, Ryo-chan!"

He grins at me and nods.

"Okay, Hina! Be safe!"

He walks off in the other direction.
As I wait for the bus, I think about what had happened today.
Aww...I think. Ryo-chan is so cute! I can't believe he likes Ayumi!
I think of when they first met, when Ayumi had jumped inside of their dance studio and screamed her head off.
It wasn't that much of a first impression, but hey, if it made Ryousuke fall in love at first sight, then I guess her entrance wasn't so bad.
I find my mind wandering until it stops on an image of Yuto smiling and laughing.
Why can't I just get you out of my head.....

"Umm...sorry, but are you going to go in the bus?" I hear an unfamiliar voice say.

Turning around, I see a beautiful girl my age, holding different coloured bags of all sizes.
It looks extremely heavy.
Looking in front of me, I see that the bus had arrived and the doors had opened - but I was blocking the entrance.
An irritated bus driver looks down at me.

"Oh, I'm sorry!" I say. "Here, let me help you with that."

I motion to her bags and she hands some over gratefully.

As we board the bus, I apologize some more.

"I'm sorry, it's just that there's so much drama in my life at the moment," I say.

"I'll say," the girl says. "Today, my boyfriend ditched me at the mall."

"Oh, what a jerk," I say, then hold out my hand. "Hi. I'm Nakajima Hinata. What's your name?"

She shakes my hand.

"I'm Chisato," she tells me. "It's nice to meet you."

"So...where are you going?" I ask.

"Oh, I'm just going to go to my boyfriend's place so I can kick his for ditching me," she says, smirking.

We laugh together.

"What's in all the bags?" I ask.

"Oh, mostly school stuff," she answers. "I'm going to Horikoshi Gakuen tomorrow."

"Really? That's the place that I enrolled into too!" I say.

"Oh really? Well then, see you tomorrow, I guess."

The bus stops at my bulding.

"Well, this is my stop," we say together.

"Wait," Chisato says. "This is your stop, too?"

"Yeah," I say. "Weird."

Chisato's POV:

Nakajima Hinata is a natural born beauty.
That's what I notice when we meet.
She can be an excellent model, I think.
Maybe I can talk to my agent about her.
We walk up to Yuto's building.
It's not much; there's only about four or five doors there that hold homes.
But when you're famous, you have to try to blend in.

"What room are you in?" I ask her. 

"Oh, my best friend Satou Ayumi and I live in Room 9," she tells me.

"Really? My boyfriend lives next door! He lives in Room 10."

She gives me a blank stare.

"Your boyfriend is...Nakajima Yuto?" she asks incredulously.

"Oh, so you've met him!" I say, clapping my hands. "Well, I guess I have to get going now. Yuto gave me a spare key before, just if I get lonely at night."

I wink at her.
She doesn't wink back.
Feeling awkward, I motion to the bags that she has in her hands.
She gives them to me.

"Well, see you tomorrow!" I say, smiling at her.

She gives me a smile that looks a bit forced to me.

"Yes, of course," she says, and starts fishing in her bags for her key.

Opening the door to Yuto's room, I say,

"Arigatou, Hinata-san!" and shut the door behind me.

Yuto didn't tell me that he had a pretty girl living beside him, I think.
A stab of pain washes across my chest.
I can't let her steal him away...

Hinata's POV:

In my room, I lay down on my bed, thinking of the beautiful girl that is in the room right next to mine.
She's really pretty, I muse. I guess Yuto likes pretty girls.
I look at myself in the mirror.
Then I shake my head and flop back down.
It doesn't matter, I think. Yuto is happy with Chisato.
A sharp pain hits my chest and I bite my lip.
He gave her a key...
She said that she came over when she was lonely...
What did they do?!
Then I shake my head free of those thoughts.
I never knew Yuto had a girlfriend...
