Meanwhile, at Yuto's home....

"Chisato, I think that we should break up."

Chisato's happy expression disappears and she freezes up.
I see her hands curling into fists at her sides, clutching the cushions around her.

"B-b-but why?" she asks, her voice shaky.
Then she shakes her head and smiles uncertainly.
"You...you're joking, right? You don't really want to break up, right?"

Sighing, I raise my gaze up to look her straight in the eyes.

"I'm...serious, Chisato," I say.

Her face pales and she knaws on her lip.

"But...I thought you loved me," she says, her voice barely a whisper.

"I do love you, Chisato..."

A spark of hope flickers across her face.

"But,,,"

The spark diminishes.

"But what?" she demands softly.

I take a deep breath.

"...I finally realized that...that was not real love, the way we were together. I don't love you as a girlfriend, but I do love you, more like a little sister than anything. You're still special to me, more special than you think. But I can't date you. It's different."

Suddenly, Chisato's face shifts from sorrow to anger.

"It's that Hinata girl, isn't it?" she demands, spitting out Hinata's name as if it were poison.

"Ever since she moved in next to you, you've been different."

HInata's face flickers across my mind.
I can hear her laugh engulf my head, making my body tingle.

"..." I couldn't say a word.

Pure silence fills the room as I don't answer.
Suddenly, a sharp smacking noise resounds and a burning pain registers on my cheek.
Holding my face in my hands painfully, I look at Chisato.
Her hand is up, face twisted into a furiated scowl.
I can already feel a red welt beginning to form on the spot where Chisato's hand had impacted.

"Y-You slapped me," I stammer, not fully understanding what had just happened.

Suddenly, I see tears stream down Chisato's face.
Guilt churns my stomach.

"Chisato, it's not Hin -"

"DON'T GIVE ME ALL THAT CRAP!" she screams.

Grabbing her bag and jacket, she shoves her feet into her flats and pulls open the door.
Then she turns and faces me.

"What we just talked about did not happen," she snarls, piercing me sharply with her gaze.

"This isn't your decision. We're not breaking up until I say so."

And then the door slams and silence follows, leaving me alone while the emptiness surrounds me and eats me alive.
Chisato's last words ring in my head.
We're not breaking up until I say so.
I see HInata's face in my head; she's smiling at me, the sunlight streaming through her hair.
I can never be with you, I think.
And before i know it, I'm falling, and the last thing I see is the floor rising up to greet me.

Hinata's POV

OMG his face is so close to me!
I can see his eyes closing.
He's leaning closer and closer....
A car horn sounds and we jump to the sidewalk.

"What....?" I try to ask what he is doing.

He is so close I could feel his breath on my face.
Yuto turns bright red.
Awww how cute, I think.
"Ummm....yeah, I was kind of leaning in for my jacket, because we're here already so...we should head back. I bet Chisato's getting worried." Yuto stutters.

I turn pale by hearing Chisato's name.
I force myself to nod and restrain myself from crying by biting my lips.

"Yeah...I guess Ayumi's wondering what's taking me so long too," I say.

We walk in silence to my door.
I smile hesitantly at Yuto and then shut the door.
Why, why couldn't I have met him before Chisato-san?
Why does he have to love her?
Even though I love him so much...
The tears suddenly flow out.
I sit there in the darkness crying to myself.
If only I met him first.... I love you so much. Yuto.

Ayumi's POV:

I can finally go home!!!

"Thanks, Yamada-kun!! I can't believe Sensei asked me to staple the papers after I got the papers for her!! It's because you helped me that I was able to finish!" I say, looking at Yamada-kun who is smiling at me.

"No problem. It's a good thing I was there to help you when you fell ... You're so clumsy, Ayumi," Yamada-kun says.

I blush.
It was the first time he called me by my name with no honorifics.

"A-A-Ayumi?" I ask shyly.

I see him blush.

"Sorryit'sjustthatHinacallsyouthatsoIjust..." he tries explaining.

I giggle. "it's fine just call me Ayumi ok? And I'll call you ryousuke!" I say smiling from ear to ear.

He blushes more, turning bright red.

"ok a-ayumi" he says as he looks down.

I smile. Ryousuke was acting so cute and shy.
Usually on variety shows he's on he is so different.
I feel like I'm seeing a different him.
I stare at him admiringly.

Then my phone rings.
Shinku starts to play.
Love me show me tell me boku no mune ga.
I quickly pick up my phone embarrassed of my ring tone.

"moshimoshi" I say.

I hear sobs on the other end of the phone.

Ryousuke's POV

yes yes YES!!!!!!!!!!
we are finally calling each other by our first names!!

!number 7 on my things to do befor i turn 18!!!!
 

This is THE BEST DAY EVER!!!
I look at Ayumi who is smiling at me.

'why is she so cute...' then suddenly I hear my voice.

Love me show me tell me boku no mune ga.

It was shinku, the song where I made the lyrics.
I can't believe it's ayumi's ringtone!

I blush.

It was embarrassing for the person I like to listen to my songs because the lyrics were ment for her.

"moshi moshi" Ayumi answers her phone.

Her face turns frantic.

"sorry ryousuke I have to go, thank you for today" she quickly comments, then runs out the door.

'... I wish I got to spend more time with her...oh well I'll try to talk to her tomorrow' I stand up and start walking down the hall to my class.

No ones POV

Ayumi runs frantically to her apartment.
She flings open the door and runs inside still with her shoes on.

"Hinata are.you.ok.?" she asks panting from her long trip from school.

Hinata looks at Ayumi who is soaked from head to toe, her hair messed up and make up..... Smudged...?...hideous...? Undiscribable.

"what happened Hinata? I came as soon as you called"

Ayumi needs down to face the limp Hinata who is on the ground with tissues surrounding her.

" a-a-Ayumi" Hinata says with tears trickling down her cheeks.

"it's ok,"Ayumi says while hugging Hinata "tell me what happened"

" I LIKE yuto" Hinata yells as more tears fall.

For the next hour Hinata retells her whole experience to Ayumi .
How she met chisato, when she finally found out she liked yuto and how heartbroken she was today.

"just steal him away Hinata! Your way prettier then her, even though I never saw her before" Ayumi comforts.

Hinata smiles.

"thank you Ayumi. ... I think you should go take a warm bath..." Hinata trails on.

Ayumi looks down at her clothes and then looks in the mirror.

"OH MY GOD!!!!!" she runs into the bathroom and locks the door.

Now with a lightened spirit Hinata feels better, like a rock has been lifted off her shoulder.
She finally told someone about her secret crush.
Yawning, she goes to the sofa turns off the tv and closes her eyes....
