You Saw Me
FEARI looked down at the can of unopened beer in my hand. It has sort of become a routine. I would drink till I was drunk out of my mind and drown my sorrows in cans upon cans of beer. Sometimes, I'd even play the old CDs we used to listen to; the old CDs you used to love.
I looked down at the can of beer again before putting it back into the fridge. I don't think I need it anymore, not tonight anyways.

"It's weird, you know?" I murmured into the phone. "I'm not so sad anymore."
"That's not weird," Bom said with a breathy laugh. "That's terrific."
I laughed softly too, "I guess it is."
"Hey, you laughed."
I laughed again, "I guess I did."
"I like it when you laugh."
"I like it when I laugh too."
"You should do it more often then. Since we both seem to like it so much."
I considered that for a moment. "Maybe I will."
"You should," she insisted.
I didn't say anything for a moment, thinking.
"I will."

You were sitting alone today. You saw me; I know you saw me. It showed in the way your mouth twitched, the way your muscles tensed, the way you crossed your left leg over you right leg before uncrossing them and then crossing them again.
It showed in all of those little movements; you may not know it, but it did. And unlike all of the other times I saw you, I didn't have the urge to run back to you
