I like you

Mark walks slowly through his class door, inhaling all the air he could for this new day.

 Last night nightmares kept him awake and now he is a little sleepy, the last thing he wants to deal right now is Jackson’s new pranks because he knows that it will come.

Throwing his bag at his table feet, he jumps on his seat and falls. Everything happens in slow motion. Mark closes his eyes, feeling how his hits the floor with a horrible sound as his head falls on his own on something that he can’t point what it is. A sharp pain overcomes on his skull as he tries to open his eyes.

He could hear gasps coming from his classmates but he couldn’t concentrate as blackness overflows him.

Jackson jumps on his feet, his heart beating fast as his eyes start to blurry…

What has he done?

“You are an idiot,” Jaebum shouts as he runs toward Mark because Jackson is frizzed into his spot and his classmates’ just stares.

He just wanted to pull a prank like he usually does with his other friends but this never happen. Why he never thought that something like this could happen, something as big as it?

His hands are shaking, his nerves are over the place but he can’t find himself to move any limb. Something is keeping him in place, iced in the moment as the scene unfolds under his eyes. Jaebum shaking Mark, Mark unmoving in Jaebum’s lap, Sunhye calling the ambulance and teachers running into the classroom.

His mind tells him that he should do something but he can’t, his body gave up

What has he done?

First, he killed his mother, now Mark?

Why couldn’t he just do something right in his life?

*Who are you?*

“I am not going.” He says, looking intense at his phone.

“Why did you change your mind?” Jackson’s dad asks in one of the moments when he is home. That’s so suddenly that Jackson couldn’t even think what to reply. The thought of Mark dying in the hospital because he was stupid is haunting his every thought, so he decided to stay home.

“Because I want to study more, I don’t want to lose a week on this holiday, I need to get into a good University.” Jackson lies, checking his phone to see if his friends heard something about Mark’s state.

“That’s so thoughtful of you, Jackson, keep it up.” His dad says with a pleasant smile on his face that Jackson wants to wipe it off.  “I am going to school now, order something to eat.”

Like that, his dad left, leaving Jackson staring at the door.

He really wants to know what Mark is doing, if he is alright or if he needs surgery or if he is still alive.

Thinking back now at how he met Mark Tuan and how this last month went by, Jackson could get to one conclusion: he likes Mark Tuan more than he should.

At first, he just wanted Mark to like him because he is Jackson Wang and everybody should like him, especially how great he is treating everyone. The older being the only one who showed him dislike, Jackson wanted so badly to change his mind because why not?

As time went by and started to know Mark he kept getting attracted to him. Why? He doesn’t know the answer yet. The blonde keeps playing with him, first, he is hot next second he is cold.

He pushes him in and out, it depends how his mood changes and Jackson doesn’t understand what’s going on. The only thought is that something bad happened with Mark but he doesn’t know where he fits in all this. He spends all his time with just two friends, he doesn’t let the light come into his room, he is silent, he doesn’t laugh that often and the list can go on.

He takes a deep breath and caresses his lips so lightly, trying to remember Mark’s kiss. That was a bad day but Mark made it all better.

His phone beeps announcing that a message arrived, making Jackson jumps in surprise, waking him from his thoughts.

JDH: Mark’s alright, he is staying some days in the hospital just in case. Mom says that he should leave Sunday.

A sigh escapes his lips as his heart feels a bit revealed. He asked his friend, Daehyun to ask his mother since she works at the hospital where Mark is.

Jacks: When can I visit him?

He types back and grabs his jacket, running down the stairs. He needs to visit Mark and apologize for everything and he will promise to never bother him again.

*Who are you?*

His heart is beating with a fast tune as his palms are sweating around the little teddy bear that he had bought on his way toward the hospital.

He needs to do that in order to receive Mark’s forgiveness. He never picked on anyone in school and he feels bad that he had started because of Mark and especially that he had picked on him.

Slowly and soft, he knocks on the door, the little sound making Jackson’s jump in surprise. He is so nervous…
