Third Bangtan Boy
Pareballes“Jinsol” her mom yelled. She made her way to her, a bit freaked out about the fact that her mom was calling her like that.
“What is it, mom?”
“Youngjae is waiting for you. Hurry up!” she looked around and found him comfortably laying on the sofa, his two arms were behind his neck.
“Excuse me?” Jinsol raised an eyebrow at Youngjae. He gave her a shameless smile.
“The cypher. You owe me one”
She didn’t have an argument to fight back, so she sighed, knowing that it would be a long night.
“I hate you” Jinsol said.
“Yeah, you’ve said that a few times already” he replied back. She was staring at him with a deadly gaze, but his eyes were on the road.
“But I still hate you” she said again.
“I thought you had a crush on me?” Jinsol rolled her eyes. She did not have a crush on him, and he knew it, but he still about that because he thought it was funny. At this point, she just laughed about it, but she still worried that one day, someone would confuse the situation, leaving him without a girlfriend.
“Stop it” she joked, “people might think it’s true!”
He laughed at her reaction the whole road. And it was a long one. She didn’t keep track of time, but she was sure that it was longer than one hour.
The cypher wasn’t bad at all. It was actually cool, and she enjoyed it more than she thought she would. Except for the fact that she was freezing because Youngjae didn’t let her get a sweater saying it was already late.
A lot of rappers stood there and did their thing, but she was caught up when a familiar person was the one on stage. She tried to wave at him, because she thought it was Namjoon, but with all the people there, and all the hype over two rappers who called themselves Suga and Rap Monster, he probably didn’t notice her.
Thanks to Jin’s words, she knew that Yoongi was also a rapper. He described him as someone short, with soft pale skin and a gummy smile. And that described the rapper next to Namjoon perfectly.
All those rappers were fast, and their voices sounded cool; whatsoever Suga and Rap Monster definitely caught her attention. She listened carefully to their words, and she found herself wishing she could give Jin back to them. Their voices sounded desperate, frustrated, scared and angry. Those were the feelings that they were conveying, and everyone right there was able to feel them too. She kept to herself some special words that made her realize how deep the bond between the boys was.
“I closed my eyes to the present that could not be altered: Reality was different. I walked the lightless tunnels on my own. I thought I was alone but I’ve learned that we are seven, no longer barefoot, wearing shoes called ‘Bangtan’. We go on forward another step, newer than the last, towards the fourth spring we’ll greet in Seoul. Would I have changed if I had chosen a different path? If I had stopped and looked back?”
“You like them?” Youngjae asked. Jinsol could hear a hint of pride in his voice. She was probably looking at them in a different way than she had looked to the rest, and listening to them more carefully then she listened to the other performers.
“Yeah, they’re good” She nodded, not daring to look away from them.”Actually-“ Jinsol’s voice was cut off.
“Everyone, run” one of the boys yelled through the microphone. She wasn’t sure who was it, and she didn’t have the time to go back and check either.
Youngjae held her hand and began running with her. There was a lot of people running and fumbling, and a lot of them were touching her by mistake, so she thought she was running while holding on to her friend.
Unluckily, when she found a safe spot, Youngjae wasn’t there.
She looked around just in case she could spot the boy, but she freaked out when she spotted a police searching for people with his flashlight instead.
