First encounter
PareballesJinsol tried not to think too much. She had absolutely no idea of how Jin got there, and she just couldn’t imagine a reason why Taehyung found him or took him to such a place either. He’ll explain it later, she thought.
She felt her palms sweaty as she approached him. She didn’t know if it was right to get closer, or to speak, or to just look at him. He was laying on the bed, his head tilted back as he winced and rested his own hand on his stomach. His eyes were tightly closed, and he didn’t seem to acknowledge their presence.
“Hyung, I brought her here,” Taehyung said.
Jin turned around slowly, and Jinsol had to force herself not to let out a scream. He looked as terrible as someone with his graceful features could. His face was slightly swollen, with some purple bruises on it. She couldn’t see well, but she definitely spotted a cut on t corner of his lips he and some scratches on his cheeks and jaw, which looked sharpener than usual, even though his facial hair was kind of covering some wounds.
What did he mean her? Jin asked to see her?
“I’m pretty sure I-” he stopped talking, as he tried to avoid the sharp pain in his stomach by moving a little bit. Taehyung hurried up to help him, but Jin waved it off. As he tried to make himself a bit more comfortable, his shirt lifted up a little bit, causing her to gasp as she noticed more bruises. Not only that, but he also looked way thinner than he used to be, “I never asked you to bring her here.”
Okay. He didn’t ask for her. A bit confused, Jinsol raised an eyebrow at Taehyung. She wanted to take a closer look at Jin, and see how bad his bruises and wounds were, but she felt like she could break him or cause him more pain and she hesitated. It was scary.
“I’ll explain it later,” he said. “But help me with the wounds. I bought care supplies and everything, but I don’t even know what to do,” he got out but came back quickly, handing her a plastic bag. “Tell me if you need anything else.”
Jinsol didn’t know much about treating wounds, but she had seen her mom treating hers a few times when she was younger. Those were not half as bad as Jin’s though. She was just about to open that careless mouth of hers to ask him if he had never seen his mom doing it, but she stopped herself before she could speak.
“Why didn’t you call Namjoon or Yoongi?” or anyone else she asked, taking out the boxes to see what he had bought. She kept looking at Jin from the corner of her eye.
“Jin doesn’t want anyone to see him like that,“ he shook his head in disapproval. It was obvious that he didn’t agree with the idea, but she knew he wouldn’t dare to say no to Jin.
“How about a hospital?” she asked, still taking care of the supplies.
“His parents would find him in a second. Please don’t say anything for now.”
Her jaw dropped. It couldn’t be. He couldn’t be asking her to keep that a secret. How could she even do that? Everyone was so worried. His parents, Namjoon, Yoongi, Hoseok… literally everyone was dying to know something. He gave her a very sincere and apologetic look, and her gaze softened.
“How did you-?”
He sighed and looked away. “Later.”
Jinsol nodded, but she was still very nervous. After seeing what she had to work with, she asked Taehyung to get some oxygenated water, which he did. She carefully took the supplies to the side of the bed after washing her hands, and then kneeled down to match Jin’s bed’s height. He avoided her gaze, and she wondered if that was somehow related to his confession.
“I’m going to help you with that,” she informed him, pointing out at his face. She didn’t mean to simply touch him without him knowing, but she didn’t expect him to agree or disagree either. Jinsol raised her hand, but when she was about to clean the cut on his lip, he moved away.
“You really don’t have to,” he said. She wasn’t particularly good at deciphering emotions, but she could tell he was embarrassed. He couldn’t look at her in the eyes, and he couldn’t stand the closeness between them, as he kept moving closer and closer to the wall, and farther and farther away from her.
“That looks terrible,” she said. “If you don’t want to go to a hospital, at least let me help.”
She didn’t wait for him to say yes. She simply took a wet clean cloth and pushed it gently on his
