Realization
PareballesJinsol had been walking past Jin’s workplace in the mornings just to see if he was there. To her surprise, someone had replaced him already.
On the other side, the boy from the train who seemed to be somehow related to Jin hadn’t been using the train, and it was driving her crazy because she wanted to ask what was going on.
She waited a few days, and then a week, but that was how much she could handle. There was only one way to find out more about Jin.
As soon as she got back from school, she made herself comfortable and she opened Jin’s notebook. For two weeks, she was too afraid to read it. She never meant to let him down by reading more than one page at a time, but then again, she needed to know something.
Sorry, I’m just making up for the days when I didn’t read, she thought.
When she least expected it, she took the train and found Jin’s brother sitting there. Through Jin’s words, she found out his name: Kim Namjoon.
Will he get mad if I sit? She wondered.
She tried to lock eyes with him, and she was caught off guard when he looked at her and then he looked at the seat next to him.

She sat there before he regretted his decision.
“How are you related to Jin?” he asked immediately.
“We’re friends” she said. She cleared before asking something else, “What…” no. She didn’t need to know what happened, she only wanted to know if he was fine. “How is Jin?”
“We hope he’s fine” his voice sounded so doubtful, that Jinsol naturally turned around and faced him. “His parents are searching for him, and we’ll try to keep everything as usual. We don’t want to worry him when he comes back.”
She knew that feeling. Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst.
Jinsol could see the pain in his eyes, and she could feel it through his sad voice. He looked exhausted, and she guessed he wasn’t getting much sleep. Was he even eating properly?
“Sometimes, I wonder how those kids would live if I’m not around. They rely on me too much, and I’m always scared that one day I won’t be there for them as I’d like. And I'm not sure if they’ll be able to take the pain.”
Jinsol got goosebumps as she remembered Jin’s words. When she read the notebook, she realized that it was kind of a diary. He introduced her to each one of six boys. Yoongi, Hoseok, Namjoon, Jimin, Taehyung and Jungkook. He talked about their hobbies, their dreams, their fears, and how he met them. He wrote about them in a way that made Jinsol feel like she already knew them.
They were not his blood brothers, but the bond between them was as real as it could be.
“How are the boys?” before she knew it, the words came out of . That’s how Jin called them. The boys.
Namjoon was taken aback by her question. Just how close was that girl to Jin and why did she know about his brothers?
He tried not to take it personal, but he felt betr
