After arriving in Canada, Hyoyeon and her family quickly settle down in a house not too far away from her parent’s company and Hyoyeon’s school. Thanks to Jessica and Seohyun, Hyoyeon was able to understand and speak English, and was soon fluent to it. From time to time, Hyoyeon would have a video call with the girls, while for Eunhyuk, she barely have time talk to him as he rarely go online. Hyoyeon starts to get worried as she keeps on messaging him, asking him if everything is ok, but she never get a reply.

“How’s Hyukjae?” Mrs. Kim asks as Hyoyeon sits down at the table.

Hyoyeon force a smile. “He’s great.” She said.

“Are you sure?” Mr. Kim asks. “I think you’re lying.”

“What is it?” Mrs. Kim asks as Hyoyeon let out a sigh.

“It’s been a year already, he promised me that he will text me everyday. But he didn’t…” Hyoyeon said. “W-what happened if he-“

“Don’t worry too much, he must be busy.” Mr. Kim said gently as Mrs. Kim looks at him weirdly.

“I’m going to the dance studio.” Hyoyeon said.

“What about breakfast?” Mrs. Kim asks.

“I’ll grab something on the way” Hyoyeon smiles and kiss her parents’ cheeks before walking upstairs.

After making sure Hyoyeon is gone, Mrs. Kim looks at Mr. Kim. “Busy? Really jagi?” Mrs. Kim asks. “She might be even more suspicious if he’s been busy that long! She might already started to think he’s cheating on her!”

“He won’t cheat on her, I believe in him.” Mr. Kim said.

As Hyoyeon was about to leave, her phone starts to buzz. She thought it was the girls so she picks it up. But then widens her eyes as she saw Hyukkie oppa <3   on the screen.

Sorry Hyo! I’ve been so busy lately! Things have so sad and hard ever since you left. I miss you too Hyo! I promise we will have a video call soon. =) –Hyukjae

Hyoyeon smiles and quickly type a reply and put her phone in her pocket. She then left her room and head to the dance studio.

“Hyo, when will you be back?” Mrs. Kim asks.

“By noon.” Hyoyeon reply and puts on her shoes. “Bye mom!”

“Have fun!” Mrs. Kim smiles.

For the past few hours, Hyoyeon dances without a break, trying to get her mind of the thought of Eunhyuk lying and cheating on her. She then collapse into the ground, breathing heavily.

“He won’t.” Hyoyeon said and hit herself. “Impossible! Pull yourself together, Hyoyeon!”

“There you are!” A girl said, walking in, smiling.

Hyoyeon turns her head to the door and smiles. “Wendy-ah~”

Wendy smiles as she sits on the floor. “I look for you every where unni!”

“Sorry…”  She said. “Just want to dance a little.”

“Something in your mind?” Wendy asks.

Hyoyeon nods. “You could say so…”

“What is it, unni?” Wendy asks.

“Remember my boyfriend? That I always have told you about?”

“Eunhyuk-shii, isn’t it?” Wendy said. “Yeah, why?”

“He just replied to me this morning after a year.” Hyoyeon said. “He told me he’s been busy for a whole year. And it got me a bit suspicious…”

“You’re worried that he might be cheating on you, right?”

“Yes.”

Wendy hugs Hyoyeon tightly. “Unni, don’t ever think like that!” Wendy smiles. “When you told me about him, he sounds like an amazing man and I believe he won’t cheat on you.”

“You’re right.” Hyoyeon said. “Thanks, Wendy.”

“Well, let’s put that aside unni.” Wendy said. “It’s been a year and a half since you first arrive here! And A year since we met!”

Hyoyeon chuckles. “Wow, time flies by fast.” Hyoyeon said.

Hyoyeon remembers she first came to school, she was a bit of a shy kid and was afraid to approach her classmate as she doesn’t speak English fluently. But luckily, while she was in the library, studying English, Wendy walked up to her.

~Flash Back~

“Hi! My name is Wendy!” Wendy said in English. “What’s your name?”

“I’m Hyoyeon Kim.” Hyoyeon said (They put First Name first and Last Name second ^^ For those who don’t know. But I’m probably stupid because EVERYONE knows that!)

“Hyoyeon? Kim? Are you from Korea?” Wendy asks in English.

“Yes.” Hyoyeon answers.

“WOW! I’m from Korea too!” Wendy then switch to Korean. “Well, I moved here a few years ago.”

Hyoyeon smiles. “It’s nice to have someone to talk Korean to.”

“Well, how old are you? I’m 16.” Wendy said.

“I guess I’m your unni, I’m 18.” Hyoyeon smiles. (Wendy is about 5 years younger than Hyo, but I felt like that’s a BIG s, so I made Hyo 2 years older than Wendy J )

“So, I can help you with English, unni.” Wendy said. “If you want.”

“Yes, that’ll be awesome.” Hyoyeon smiles.

~End of Flashback~

“Unni!” Wendy call out. “HYOYEON UNNI!”

“What?” Hyoyeon asks.

“You’re spacing out.” Wendy giggles.

“Sorry.” Hyoyeon smiles. “Want to go back to my house? Eomma and appa would love to meet you again
