Chapter Seven
The girl he loves
Their genuine, carefree laughters echoed through the place, warming the empty holes in their fragile hearts, and humming like a melodious song in their ears.
It’s those infinite moments when you hang around with your friends, where you gasp for big breaths between each laugh.
It’s those moments where you get high off, and feel your lungs getting cold, in a good way of course.
For a second, that split second, you don’t care.
You don’t care about school, you don’t care about your endless problems and your life issues, you don’t care about money, about people, and mostly, you don’t care about the world.
You forget about the world in those priceless moments, and all you care about are the amazing people next to you, because they’re the only thing that matters, right?
They’re all we really need, right? Those amazing kids beside you; your friends, the ones who make you love the feeling of being fully alive, the ones who make you feel worth it, unstoppable, and invincible even in your weakest points.
“Off to bed now. It’s already late.” said Vernon after noticing the time showing 10:30.
“Fυcking kill-buzz, it’s weekend.” A sad pout graced the little girl’s face causing her brother to cringe and widen his eyes all at once.
“Did you just curse?” The seventeen year old boy gasped, and his eight year old sister slyly smiled to taunt him.
“You’re indeed a fυcking kill-buzz.” Wonwoo admitted while playing with Sofia’s bouncy hair.
“Are you taking sides now.” Vernon crossed his arms, slightly glaring.
“I’m not,” Wonwoo said in a teasing tone. “I know it’s your job to put her to sleep in time, but c’mon dude, it’s weekend for goodness sake. And it’s not like your mother’s gonna kill you or something.”
The living room erupted with soft giggles and laughters from the girls, but his attention remained on his sister and his best friend.
“Okay, dine!”
