With both palms cradling her chin, Wendy sighed for the nth time as she watched her friends gushing and squeaking like maniacs.
Truth to be told, she couldn’t figure it out why they were in a fangirl mode so she waited for the two girls to calm down.
“So?” She gave them a baffled, questioning look after they turned back to their normal selves.
“You should haven’t skipped yesterday, Wendy. We have a new student.” Sana took out her handkerchief, fanning her face as if it would lessen the heat of her slightly reddish cheeks.
“Yeah, he’s so cute.” Tzuyu gushed again. “He’s Taiwanese-American, and he came from Canada just like you.”
Wendy chuckled. “Unbelievable! The two of you were raving because of some adorable, cute guy?”
The two girls nodded.
“What’s his name?” she grinned, pretending to be interested.
Not that the topic was boring, but she was never the girl who swooned over pretty boys in their school.
“Mark Tuan.” replied Sana with a smile.
Upon hearing the answer, Wendy felt like the depths of her soul had burned, and her grin was replaced by a bitter grimace.
Mark Tuan.
Taiwanese-American.
Canada.
The same Mark Tuan who screwed the hell out of me last year.

Wendy thought bitterly as she cussed underneath her shaky breath, drawing confusion on her friends’ faces.
