Eunji : (walking faster and blocked Yoseob’s way) mister, this is yours.

Yoseob : (stopped. Only looking at the picture the person in front of him holding out. It is IU’s)

Eunji : (only at that moment she noticed the picture. Her eyes become bigger) < wh-who i-is th-this? >

Yoseob : (taking the picture. And finally he lifts up his face to look at the person in front of him) Gomawo- (speechless, frozen with what he’s seeing. All of sudden, tears flow from his eyes) I-IU? IU!!! (pulls Eunji into a tight hug)

Eunji : (frozen)

Yoseob : I miss you so much, my Jieunnie~

Eunji : (still frozen. Didn’t hug back)

Yoseob : (after few moments, he pulls away from the hug) don’t you miss me? (looks at Eunji with teary eyes)

Eunji : (she can’t help it but feeling touched when looking into Yoseob’s sad eyes) u-uh~ i-i-I… I miss you… (hesitate and slowly nodding)

Yoseob : (pulls her again for another hug)

Minah : (looking at Seungho and Jiyeon from outside of the room. She heard each and every single words from Seungho)

“you don’t have to try hard to remember things we did together, Park Jiyeon. Because whoever you are, I’ll always love you… You’re my first love, and I’m very sure that you’ll be my last love.”

Minah : < I can never… be Jiyeon… > (gave up) (she then walks approaching Dongjun)

Dongjun : aishhh where’s Eunji??? She said she just wants to go to the ladies room for a while. What takes her so long??? (mumbling to himself)

Minah : D-Dongjun ah~

Dongjun : (a little surprised) oh, seonsaengnim.

Minah : (smiles a little) I’ll go home now. Please tell Seungho for me.

Dongjun :o-oh. Arasseoyo.

In Jiyeon’s room…

Seungho : (caressing Jiyeon’s hand when suddenly her hands move a little)

Seungho : how’s your head? Is it hurt now?

Seungho : you should rest more. The doctor said you need to rest.

Jiyeon : I can rest at home.

Seungho : (silent for a moment) I should always take care of you, my dear. (worried face)

Jiyeon : (laughs a little, still a weak laugh) I’m not a kid. Don’t worry too much.

Seungho : hey, dear. From now on, I don’t want you to keep any secrets from me. I’m your boyfriend. You can tell me everything. (holds her hand tighter)

Jiyeon : w-well… (hesitate) Y-Yoseob returned to me my diary. I remembered all things we did together because of the diary.

Seungho : o-oh… ok. (forced smile)

Jiyeon : a-are… are you sad?

Seungho : n-no, no. why should I? (fake smile again)

Jiyeon : well… (silent for few seconds) well I felt bad for Yoseob…

Seungho : (no word, just staring at Jiyeon)

Jiyeon : n-not because I still like … I m-mean, I n-never like him. (stuttering) j-just that …

Seungho : < there you go, Jiyeon ah. Meaning you have ever liked him… >

Jiyeon : (being careful) just that … he still need IU, don’t you think so?

Seungho : < then why you have to care about him so much? > (nodding)

Jiyeon : so I was thinking… if maybe Eunji can help us? I mean help him? So that he doesn’t feel alone anymore?

Seungho : why are you worried so much about him? Look at yourself now, you should worry about yourself first.

Jiyeon : (silent. Her face shows that she’s not happy with Seungho’s words)

Seungho : Jiyeon ah, wae?

Jiyeon : he has been really nice to me when you were not around. Is it wrong if I want to show that I care about him?

Jiyeon : (nodding with smile)

Dongjun : oh yeah. Minah seonsaengnim already went back to her home.

Seungho : ah, I see… but where’s Eun … (at this moment, he see Eunji walks towards where he, Jiyeon and Dongjun are)

Jiyeon : Yo-Yoseob ah… (she’s shocked to see Yoseob, but more shocked when she noticed that he’s holding Eunji’s hand)

Seungho : (also surprised and speechless)

Yoseob : (stopped near they three. Still holding Eunji’s hand) Seungho… Jiyeon ah, what are you two doing here? (it has been long time since he showed a bright smile but now it’s even brighter than before)

Seungho and Jiyeon only looking at each other. Both are still speechless.

Dongjun : (just frowning, also doesn’t know what should he say)

Eunji : Ji-Jiyeon ah, are you feeling alright n-now? (tries hard to speak informally)

Jiyeon : u-uh. (awkward)

Seungho : Eunji-ssi …

Eunji : (immediately cuts Seungho’s words) Jieun… Jieun… (smiling)

Seungho : y-ye?? (confused)

Yoseob : Seungho ah, you already forgot IU’s real name? It’s Jieun, not Eunji… (talks innocently then laughs a little)

Seungho : o-oh y-yeah… (awkward smile)

Suddenly Yoseob’s phone rings…

Yoseob : excuse me. (walks away from them) yeoboseyo?

Eunji : (grabs Jiyeon’s hand from Seungho) I want to borrow your girlfriend for a moment. Hihi! (cute smile and drag Jiyeon away from them)

Seungho : (frozen. Just look at them from far)

At a small garden at the hospital…

Jiyeon : hmmm?

Eunji : Jiyeon unnie, let me be your bestfriend from now on.

Jiyeon : (frowning. Confused)

Eunji : I want to be Jieun, or IU. Just call me IU from this moment.

Jiyeon : w-why? Suddenly?

Eunji : Yoseob-ssi… he… I think he has been through a hard life. Am I right?

Jiyeon : well, y-yes.

Eunji : I saw IU’s picture. She really looks like me. She was, Yoseob’s girlfriend?

Seungho : (turns around to face Jiyeon) what? What did you just call me??? (teasing smile)

Jiyeon : I-I-I… didn’t… I didn’t …

Seungho : I’ve been missing you call me that so much. (grabs Jiyeon’s waist, pulls her closer and kisses her forehead) gomawo~ (wink) now get inside my car. (he gets in first)

Jiyeon : (frozen for a while) aigoo wake up, Jiyeon ah~ wake up! (shaking head) (gets into the car)

On their way back…

Seungho : what did Eunji say when she dragged you away earlier?

Jiyeon : she’s Jieun… just call her IU from now on.

Seungho : uh??? (confused)

Jiyeon : that was what she said to me just now.

Seungho : (frowning)

Jiyeon : aigoo seonsaengnim. You can’t understand? She said she wants to be my bestfriend. And be IU for Yoseob.

“ Fine, I’ll show u my aegyo tomorrow at university. Hmmm… miss you so much already, my dear~ ”

Jiyeon jumps off from the couch and goes to the kitchen to have a drink.

Jiyeon : tssk! Is having launch together meaning love already? Weird Yoo Seungho.

When she’s about to drink, she noticed a small wrapped box on the kitchen table. She’s frowning.

Jiyeon : Isn’t this Minah’s gift for Seungho?

She takes up the gift and noticed a letter inserted at the back of the gift. She frowns again.

Another Seungho’s SMS arrived.

Seungho’s SMS :

“ yah, you really don’t love me? =( ”

Jiyeon feels curious about the letter so she opens it.

Seungho oppa, seungilchukha~~~^^

Actually I dunno how to tell you directly so I write this.

I’m going back to Australia. And I’ll stay there. Maybe forever?

My dad asked me to continue my studies there again. He already managed for me all that.

At first, I didn’t want to but thinking that being here, I’ll only can look at you and love you more n more, isn’t it better for me to stay there? =)

But before I left, can you give me at least ONE DAY to be your girlfriend?

If you allow me, I believe that I am already the luckiest girl in the world.

And I promise I’ll only love you as friend after that. And I even will stop call you ‘oppa’.

I’ll leave on 14^th February.

I hope I can spend my last day here until 12.00am of 14^th February as your one-day girlfriend.
