Flashback

“I TRUSTED YOU MIYOUNG!” a guy around his mid-thirties screamed. The woman, Miyoung, just stared on the ground.

A little girl and a boy were holding hands, shaking in fear when they heard the shouts of their parents arguing.

“Oppa, I’m scared. Why are umma and appa fighting?” little Sooryun cried and Ravi just hugged her tightly.

“Don’t worry Yunnie. I’m here don’t be scared” Little Ravi said and continued hugging his freighted little sister.

Things suddenly got really quiet and the door just slammed open. They saw their mum standing there with a sad smile.

“Yoonie-ah, do you want to follow umma?” her mum said with a forced smile on her face. Ravi held onto his sister’s hands tighter.

“Where are you going to bring her umma? Can I come?” Ravi asked and their mum just shook her head.

“Its only for girls. Won Sik-ah, help umma take care of your appa okay? We’ll be back soon” their mum said and held her hands out for Sooryun.

Ravi chose to believe that white lie, although reluctantly, and released Sooryun’s hands.

Sooryun went to her mum and held her hands, waving good bye to Ravi. Before she left, she glanced at her father who gave her a forced smile.

“Appa, are you going to miss yoonie?” she mumbled and her father could only nod his head forcefully.

Sooryun released herself from her mum and gave her father a hug, which he returned rather reluctantly.
