That evening, Jessica drags herself out of the house after hours of lying in bed trying to track her memories on what she did wrong to Nichkhun. She decides to go to Tiffany. Standing in front of Tiffany's door, she knocks soullessly. Tiffany turns around and immediately runs to her best friend.

"Is this the someone I know?" Tiffany says. 

Jessica just pulls Tiffany in and hugs her, sobbing. After a moment,

"Nichkhun... He broke up with me." 

Tiffany breaks the hug, in shock, but she tries to hide it.

"I-I'm sorry, Jess..." Tiffany cannot find any word to say to her. She doesn't even know what to feel.

"He said he just wants to be friends but everyone knows no one wants to be friends with their ex." 

"Look, but it's Nichkhun. He wouldn't do that."

"Then why would he break up with me?"

Tiffany sits Jessica down on the bed and places her head onto her shoulder. She closes her eyes and a tear runs down her face without Jessica knowing.

Tiffany heads to her desk after putting Jessica to bed that night. She starts writing yet another entry in her notebook while listening to music. Her phone suddenly rings. She holds up the phone to see the caller is Nichkhun. She doesn't pick up, however, and places it back, facing down. She then turns the volume of her music louder. 2 missed calls, 3 missed calls... then a text comes.

Nichkhun's text

"Hey. Please pick up the phone..."

Tiffany looks at his text, hesitates but texts back.

Tiffany's text

"Sorry, I'm busy. Got schoolwork to catch up."

Nichkhun's text

"Just for a few minutes."

Tiffany doesn't reply and another one comes.
