Today was Jungkook and Dahyun’s last day with Oprah. They unfortunately had to return the doll so the teacher could use it again for next year’s class. “You’re baby please” Mr. Kemp held out the black trash bag.

“Goodbye baby Oprah” Dahyun gave it one last squeeze.

“I’m going to miss my daughter” Jungkook patted its head.

“You guys do know it’s just a doll right?” Jimin mentioned.

“Is not!” Dahyun argued. “She’s more than that”

“Yeah, she’s our daughter” Jungkook backed her up.

Mr. Kemp’s arms were growing heavy. “Baby in the bag please”

“You do it! I can’t bear to look” she handed Jungkook the baby.

 “Okay, so long Oprah. You be good to your next family” and he dropped her in.

Jimin rolled his eyes “Oh brother”

“Let me walk you to lunch” Jungkook offered.

“Okay” She agreed.

He grabbed her hand and she froze. She looked down at their now clasped hands and back up at him. “Ready?”

“If we walk like this people are sure to talk”

“So let them”

Jungkook walked her to her table and then went to his own.

“Are you two?” Linzy asked.

Dahyun honestly didn’t know the answer to that question.

Linzy just let that one slide. “So I heard this rumor”

“Oh great, what is it this time?” Dahyun moaned.

“This one’s important! It’s about you and Jin”

“What about me and Jin?”

Linzy was happy to have peeked her interest. “Well I hear you two went on a date, and even kissed!”

Did he tell someone? Better deny it. “That’s not true”

“I’m just the messenger”

“Well maybe you shouldn’t spread things that aren’t true”

“You better hope Cindy doesn’t hear this rumor” Linzy pointed out “Or it’s goodbye cheer squad”

After school Dahyun went with Jungkook to the local smoothie shop. “A lagre chocolate, peanut butter and banana, correct?”

“You remembered!”

“Of course” Jungkook ordered their smoothies and sat back down. “There’s actually something I’ve been wanting to ask you”

Dahyun took a sip of her smoothie. “What?”

“That deal you made with Jin”

She put her smoothie down. “I knew you were going to ask that eventually.”

“I won’t judge, I just need to know”

“What have you heard?”

He shook his head “You know I don’t listen to rumors.”

“You want the truth?”

“Nothing but”

She took a deep breath “I agreed to go on a date with him and he agreed not to touch you”

“You didn’t have to do that”

“And there’s one more thing” Dahyun really didn’t want to say this part but it was better he heard it from her. “He kissed me, but it was only a peck. Not even a second long”

Jungkook clenched his fists but acted calm. “I’m sorry you had to do that”

“So you’re not mad?”

He reached his hand across the table and grabbed hers. “Not at you. I’m mad at myself for letting you deal with my problems.”

“It’s all right” She enjoyed holding his hand and didn’t want to let go. She was also relieved to get that secret off her chest.
