On the day of Kang Yong Il’s funeral, no one attended. So Ra suddenly felt how ironic her life is. When her father was alive, everyone is friendly to her. Now that her father is gone, they showed their true identity. She stared at her phone. Three days. It has been three days since she could reach out to Jung Su. Every time she called, there was no answer.

‘Oppa, are you leaving me as well?’

“Young Miss! The police are here!” The chauffeur ran in.

So Ra stood up from the chair. She is pissed. What do the police want from her? They went to the mansion two days ago, searching every piece of paper in the home office. Today is her father’s funeral and here they are again. Why can’t they let her send her father off without disturbance?

“Miss Kang So Ra, please follow us to the police station to assist us in a corrupting case related to Pandora,” Hye Sung said.

“You can do whatever you want after this funeral. I just want to send my father off,” So Ra told him.

“You have to come with us now,” Hye Sung insisted.

“No!” So Ra yelled at him. “He’s dead now! He’s your suspect but he’s my father! Why can’t you show a least respect to a dead man?”

“Please cooperate with the police,” Jung Su’s voice is heard behind the police.

So Ra stared at the police as they moved aside. At the other end where So Ra is standing at, Jung Su and Han Geng stood next to each other. So Ra stared at both of them as they walked towards her. She saw the identity cards both of them are wearing. They’re police as well.

“Oppa,” So Ra stared at Jung Su in disbelief. The man she loves all these while is a police? Does that mean he stays close to her just so he could take down her father someday? Is this the reason why she couldn’t reach him after her father’s killed in the gunfire?

Jung Su frowned when he walked closer towards her. Her face is pale and she looked thinner than the time he last met her. She is having a hard time, Jung Su is sure about that. And now his appearance as a police must have surprised her.

“You’re one of them,” So Ra spoke calmly. “You engaged with me just so you can arrest him. And I am that stupid to actually believe that you love me.”

Jung Su didn’t say anything to respond to her words. He just stood there, watching her. He wished he could tell her that he loves her, he really do. But this is their fate. No one could change it.

“Why aren’t you saying anything?” So Ra looked at Jung Su as if no one else is around them. “I know my father did a lot of bad things and yes he should be punished. But how can you use my feeling towards you as a tool? Is this what every police would do just to take down their enemies?”

No one realised that tears started streaming down So Ra’s cheeks, except Jung Su. No one realised that her face became paler, except Jung Su. He is watching her. He wished he could stand beside her and hold her hand in his, but he couldn’t. He clenched his fists. He is a coward, he admitted it. He couldn’t stand out to lend her shoulder. He couldn’t wipe away her tears. At this moment, he realised how useless he really is.

“Park Jung Su,” So Ra called his full name. For the first time, Jung Su felt that he is going to lose So Ra. They are close to each other now but he felt like she is leaving him soon. “You said you love me, is that a truth or a lie?”

Before Jung Su answered So Ra, she smiled bitterly and fainted. Jung Su’s quick response allowed him to catch her from falling onto the ground.

“Call the ambulance! Now!” Jung Su screamed at the others. “So Ra, wake up! Kang So Ra!”

Hye Sung frowned when he saw how Jung Su reacted when So Ra fainted. He looked at Han Geng who shook his head slightly and walked away. He followed Han Geng.

“Hyung, want to have one last bet with me?” Han Geng asked Hye Sung.

“What?” Hye Sung questioned him.

“I bet Park Jung Su will resign once he returns to the States,” Han Geng looked up into the blue sky.

Jung Su stared at his own reflection on the mirror. He tidied his suit and took a deep breath before leaving the apartment. He is back in the States. That day, he left Seoul after So Ra woke up. He was standing outside the ward when she woke up. He knew that she would hate him for all the things that he had done. So he wanted to make it up for her.

“You want to resign?” Eric looked at the letter and then at Jung Su. “Hye Sung called me the day you came back. I didn’t believe him when he said you would resign. Jung Su, you’re a good agent. I don’t want to lose a man like you.”

“I’m sorry to disappoint you,” Jung Su told Eric.

“Jung Su, you fall in love with her,” Eric said.

“Yes,” Jung Su knew that there is nothing he could hide from Eric’s acknowledgement.

“You want to have her back?” Eric asked him.

“Yes,” Jung Su nodded his head.

“Araso,” Eric smiled. “Your resignation is approved. Go and chase after your happiness. But, don’t forget about your brothers here.”

“Komawo hyung,” Jung Su said.

“So Ra, what is your plan now?” Hyo Lyn sat down on So Ra’s bed.

After receiving the news about So Ra being sent into the hospital, Hyo Lyn flew back from New Zealand. Only then she knew about what happened to So Ra’s father. She also found out that So Ra’s fiancé is actually a FBI agent. Hyo Lyn remembered the day she reached the hospital, So Ra’s face was filled with disappointment and hopeless. She didn’t know how So Ra is going to survive through all these.

“Hyo Lyn, I’ve lost everything,” So Ra spoke calmly.

“You still have me,” Hyo Lyn placed her hand on So Ra’s.

“Hyo Lyn, I want to leave Seoul,” So Ra told Hyo Lyn.

“Are you sure?” Hyo Lyn asked her.

“I’m sure,” So Ra replied.

“Araso. Where do you want to go?” Hyo Lyn would help So Ra, even if she has no one left.

“Taiwan,” So Ra answered.
