Time flies and the day of Jung Su and So Ra’s engagement arrived. The engagement is held in the mansion. Two days before the engagement, Kang Yong Il had already asked the maids to clear the space in the living room and forty steel chairs being decorated with white and gold clothes are placed in the living room. A small stage is built in the left hand side of the living room.

On the day of engagement, Jung Su wore a black suit while So Ra wore a knee-length white dress with lacy sleeves and a pair of white heels. Both of them stood in front of the guests invited by Kang Yong Il. Han Geng, being Kang Yong Il’s first assistant is also present. Young Woon is also one of the invited guests.

When the event started, Jung Su went up to the stage while So Ra walked down the stairs, receiving applauses from the guests. Jung Su watched her as she walked towards her. Every step she took closer to him, Jung Su felt even more regretful. He is using her feelings towards him to reach his target. But he couldn’t leave now. He has his mission.

The emcee invited by Kang Yong Il started to speak when Jung Su and So Ra stood beside each other. When it is time for them to exchange rings, Jung Su reached to his pocket and took out a small black box. Inside the box lies two rings with the same design. No diamonds, but a simple white-gold ring. He bought the rings without So Ra’s acknowledgement. But the smile on her face already told him that she likes the rings just like he does.

Jung Su put the smaller ring onto So Ra’s middle finger and she did the same to him after that. After they exchanged the rings, they looked at each other and smiled. Han Geng frowned when he saw this, so did Young Woon. Some of the guests said they should kiss each other. So Ra’s face blushed after hearing that. Jung Su chuckled and placed his hands on her shoulders. Slowly, he leaned towards her and planted a soft kiss on her forehead.

After the ceremony, the guests moved to the outdoor as a buffet is prepared for them. Kang Yong Il told Jung Su to follow him as he introduced the guests to him. So Ra also followed Jung Su around. Jung Su understood that Kang Yong Il is starting to show his trust towards him. It is a good sign as he is a step closer to take this man down.

Han Geng stood in a corner where others could hardly spot him. He took out a cigarette from his pocket and lighted it up. Young Woon came to his side and smiled at him. No one saw both of them whispering to each other. After hearing Young Woon’s words, Han Geng nodded his head and stared at Jung Su.

‘Don’t make a mistake.’

Jung Su leaned against his car while waiting for So Ra to come out from the university. She had a test today. When she walked out from the university, Jung Su realised that she is feeling down. He walked towards her and touched her face with his hands.

“Why do you look disappointed?” Jung Su stared at her. “Didn’t do well in your test?”

“I think I messed it,” So Ra pouted.

“It’s okay,” Jung Su ruffled her hair. “Let’s go grab some nice food.”

“Okay,” So Ra smiled at him.

Both of them visited a Japanese restaurant to have their lunch. But Jung Su knew that he is being watched from the moment they stepped into the restaurant. He looked around and saw Hye Sung sitting in a corner. Hye Sung smiled at him.

“Oppa, what do you want to eat?” So Ra passed Jung Su the menu in her hand.

“Anything,” Jung Su replied. “I’ll go to the washroom for a while.”

Jung Su headed to the washroom. Hye Sung saw it and followed behind him after a while. Once Hye Sung walked into the washroom, he placed the ‘cleaning’ sign outside the washroom and checked to make sure that no one else is inside the washroom beside both of them.

“I never think that you will engage with Kang So Ra,” Hye Sung looked at Jung Su.

“I’m just doing my mission,” Jung Su said.

“Are you sure you didn’t fall in love with her?” Hye Sung questioned him.

“I’m sure,” Jung Su answered but he didn’t look at Hye Sung when he answered his question.

“Remember, both of you belong to two different worlds,” Hye Sung said and walked out from the washroom.

Jung Su hit his hands on the wall. Of course he knew that So Ra and him belong to two different worlds. But he couldn’t deny that he is attracted to her from time to time. He likes to see her smiles, it could brighten up his mood even if he is having a tiring day in the company. He likes to listen to her telling him stories in her university. He likes to watch her eating her favourite food like a child. He likes her. He, Park Jung Su, a FBI agent is in love with Kang So Ra, the daughter of a drug dealer.

Jung Su came out from the washroom and sat down at his spot, opposite to So Ra. When the food is served, So Ra enjoyed it. Jung Su, on the other hand, just ate whatever is being served. He didn’t care about the taste at all. After sending So Ra back home, he drove to the beach. He sat inside the car and stared at his phone. He saw Kang Yong Il got into the same car like before when he sent So Ra home just now. He knew this could be a chance. Without a second thought, he dialled Hye Sung’s number and told him to run the car plate.

‘Tonight is the end.’

Jung Su stared at the message in his phone. It is from Hye Sung. He understood the meaning behind it. Kang Yong Il has a deal tonight. He was able to know this because he placed a hearing device inside the home office the other day when he sent So Ra home.

‘So Ra, I’m sorry.’

That night, Kang Yong Il came to an abandoned factory. Just when he was about to pay the dealer after making sure the drug he provided is excellent, the police came in with guns pointing at them. Kang Yong Il panicked and threw the briefcase at one of the police to run. The police outside the factory found Kang Yong Il trying to escape from the scene and decided to fire their guns. It took less than thirty seconds for them to take him down. Hye Sung came out from a black van and walked towards Kang Yong Il and placed two of his fingers on the man’s pulse. He’s gone.

Next morning, news about Kang Yong Il being shot by the police at an abandoned factory after having a drug deal was announced on newspapers and televisions. So Ra was having her breakfast when she heard that news. She reached to her phone and called Jung Su but he never answers her call.

“Oppa, where are you?” So Ra’s tears started to stream down her cheeks. Where is the person she needed the most right now? Did he choose to leave her?

During that time, Jung Su is still in his apartment. He saw the news on the television. He knew So Ra has been calling his phone but he never answers them. He is the reason why Kang Yong Il is dead. The doorbell rang. He looked through the peephole and realised it is Han Geng.

“Why are you here?” Jung Su asked. “Aren’t you afraid that Kang Yong Il’s enemy would look for you?”

“My undercover mission is over,” Han Geng took out his police identity card and showed Jung Su. “Hye Sung hyung wants to see you.”
