“Oh come on! Half of your stuff is in my apartment already. Why is it so hard for you to say yes and move in with me?”
Sehun huffs, puffing his cheeks out, his eye brows crunching. Luhan laughs at the adorably annoyed Sehun, patting his chin. Sehun pushes his hand away.
“I will think about it. Now move Dr. Oh. I have works to do.”
Lu Han purses his lips into a thin line, trying to surpass the giggle that bubbles in his throat, turning to check his clip board in hand. It’s a busy morning indeed but the cardiothoracic surgeon’s determination is unbelievable. It’s the fifth time since the morning that Sehun is popping from here and there in the west wing of the hospital, pestering Lu Han to accept his proposition.
“Don’t you have work today?”
Lu Han questions with a straight face, hiding the trace of laughter in his voice as he walks with Sehun following him. Sehun shakes his head with a solid No, which Lu Han rolls his eyes to. Sehun clutches Lu Han elbow and twirls him to face Sehun. Lu Han barely restrains his laughter seeing Sehun showcasing a kicked puppy face with such adorable pout sitting on his lips. Lu Han clutches his clip board, tightening his grip on it. It is very hard to not to give into this man, when he shows his delicate side to Lu Han, a side only Lu Han gets to see. Lu Han doesn’t try to hide how surprised he is. He can’t believe that Sehun can be such a child at times to the point he no longer cares about the world seeing his whiny attitudes, something they haven’t even heard that Oh Sehun has within him.
“Please Han, just think for a minute; wouldn’t it be convenient for you? I am just ten minutes away from the hospital while you live in the other side of the city”
Sehun tries his best to not to sound very desperate. Sehun knows that Lu Han will give in eventually with him nagging Lu Han around and he has a feeling that Lu Han is enjoying this more than he should. This is in way is embarrassing, considering the solid image he has built in others’ eyes, over the years of his life as a world renowned, skillful professional with full of confidence as an inborn genius. But Sehun knows that Lu Han loves his childish antics he never dared to show anyone else ever before. Having Lu Han to love him more and more is enough for Sehun to last until his final breath. It amazes him, how they flourished a mere feeling to grow so strong, evading their whole existence, entangling themselves in depths of their lives than they thought they would. It’s still unbelievable how he, Oh Sehun, falls for this simple human being whom he never even dreamt of. But now before he knows it, Lu Han’s beautiful smile is what brightens his day, his mellow voice is what soothes him, his laughter is what lulls his chaotic life into sheer bliss. Sehun treasures Lu Han as if he is Sehun’s life line, which in a way he is not ashamed to admit. Before Sehun did live, but he never knew what living truly meant.
And now he knows.
That is why Sehun has this undying urge to have Lu Han closer to him as much as possible. Sehun likes to be drastic and spontaneous like never before, leaving his own majestic brain in a complete state of confusion about his own actions. He used to be calculative and logical, assessing the weight of his actions and consequences, possible impacts and conflicts, rationalizing his every move with analytical reasoning. But now, when he thinks about it, he is this close to pull a ring out and fall in his knees to ask Lu Han’s hand in marriage. Sehun is beyond intrigued by the temperament of life and its ways of taking turns. It’s not that he is completely out of his logical self, because contrary to his impulsive imagination of a marriage proposal, rational part of his brain warns him that he should wait. So he decides to stroll in this path of life leisurely, taking things slow to synch with Lu Han’s rhythm of life.
But nothing stops Sehun from asking, then begging Lu Han to move in with him.
Lu Han blinks innocently at him and rounds him, jogging to the elevator that dings, arriving to the floor. Sehun tails him to the elevator, relieved to see that they are the only people inside the metal cube, completely shading his brat-side from the public eyes. Getting Lu Han’s consent is a firm goal in Sehun’s stagnant mind now. He doesn’t mind extending his strategies to a few toe curling kisses if the chance is given.
Lu Han sighs to the umpteenth time in the day as he presses the floor he wants to be in and leans to the metal wall. He knows that Sehun has a point, more than one and Lu Han knows deep down, moving in with him will be delightful for both of them. He knows that he is now there, at the very point that will guide his life to be spend the very person he ever imagined to be with, touching the reality which is more beautiful than his dreams. But Lu Han pretends to be taking his sweet time just to tease Sehun more.
Lu Han feels the intensity of the chocolate browns, resting on him. Lu Han doesn’t dare to even look up to meet Sehun’s stare, knowing well that where this goes to by his instinct. Proving his intuition, it doesn’t take a second to Sehun to press his index finger firm on the red stop button, halting the elevator in the middle, other hand circling around Lu Han’s waist, pulling him to Sehun.
“Sehun!”
Lu Han gasps only to be silenced by Sehun’s lips, softly gliding on the supple flesh, pouring his heart out to the kiss. Lu Han feels them, the yearn, the affection, the desire and most importantly his need of having Lu Han in Sehun’s life. Lu Han forgets his clip board, slipping it from his fingers to the floor, as he cups Sehun’s cheek from one hand, other finding its way to back of his neck. He kisses Sehun back mirroring the same twirling emotions that swell his heart.
“Please?”
Sehun murmurs against Lu Han’s lips, his hazy orbs flickering with longing. Lu Han pecks Sehun’s chapped lips again and nods his head, cheeks flaming with a bright shade of red. He realizes that he gave in easily for Oh Sehun’s irresistible kiss but his heart knows that it’s not just making out in the elevator, sneaking behind every one’s back, no it isn’t. It’s a promise, a promise to love unconditionally, a promise to hold on until the end, a promise to never to let go.
Sehun’s lips draw a beautiful smile, his eyes turning into happy crescents as he loosens his hold around Lu Han. He lets the elevator to move again. Sehun bends down and picks Lu Han’s clip board as the latter smoothens down the creases in his white coat, a beautiful blush adorning his cheeks. Smiling tenderly he places the clip board on Lu Han’s soft hands. Just in time, elevator stops at the floor Lu Han has to step out.
Lu Han stands on his tiptoes and peck Sehun’s cheek just before he steps out of the elevator, leaving the cardiothoracic surgeon inside the metal cube alone. He waves shyly to a very gleeful Sehun who doesn’t even make a tiniest attempt mask his love struck grin as the doors close. Lu Han shakes his head, smiling to himself, smoothing down his brown locks.
Behind the closed doors, Sehun giggles, his fingers cupping his cheeks.
