Looking at the pediatrician who has curled in his side, Sehun shakes his head a small smile curving in his lips. Every passing minute with Lu Han is invigorating for Sehun. Sehun discerns that a numerous changes have been added to his life during his days with the Chinese male. He now owns a soft side he never seems to have in his life before. He definitely knows many qualities have been upgraded to a greatest extent within him. Lu Han, a simple human being but yet with such a humble existence he possess an ability of turning a prideful life upside down on 180 degrees rotation.
With utmost concern and mindful about every little detail in Lu Han’s character, Sehun is more conscious about his thoughts, words and actions. He is here to mend Lu Han, planting his self esteem back. It doesn’t need ground shaking thunder strikes. No, he simply doesn’t need. Sehun just has to start from the A and then reach the Z. Any athlete starts from baby steps.
Minuscule deeds always have this unbelievable ability of resulting substantial alterations in one’s life. But the simpler it looks the more it gets complicated. The concept itself looks it does have heavy depths to concern about. Every infinitesimal conception has its own delicacy, a brittleness Sehun does have to be apprehensive about. An erroneous coalition of his attitude, even it is minor, negligible in his vision can cause an irreversible incurable crack in Lu Han’s life, because he is renovating the foundation of Lu Han’s life. For that Sehun cannot be careless of. A single wrong millisecond will cost Lu Han his life, Sehun knows.
His first step was instigated when they stepped into the lodge, Sehun booked for their holidays. As to speak Lu Han’s in recovery leave Sehun has accompanied with.
“I like this room”
Lu Han hummed, closing his eyes as the light breeze kisses his face tenderly. The view outside the window was glorious with ocean lulling his ears, fascinating his eyes. He loves sea, he loves nature.
Sehun smiled though Lu Han couldn’t see him as he was standing behind him. He settled Lu Han’s luggage on the floor.
“Okay then I’ll take the other room”
Sehun said, gripping the handle of his suitcase. Lu Han turned to him,his doe eyes slightly widened.
“Why?”
He asked amusement clear in his voice. Sehun cocked his eye brow, trying to figure out what would be possibly running through latter’s mind.
“Why?”
He repeated the question in a curious manner, to which Lu Han couldn’t help feeling his cheeks warming. He scraped the floor with his socked toe, embarrassment hooding his eyes.
“I-I mean this room,” he paused and gestured the room with his hand before taking a breath.
“it-it is umm more spacious and- and the bed is big. We can umm share if you like. I just thought that may be-umm”
He thickly swallowed, his stare fixing on the floor, fidgeting on the spot he was standing. Sehun wanted to laugh at the adorable expressions going on the flushed face with the button nose twitching cutely but he knew better to control. Humiliation was the last this Lu Han’s child like mind could bare. He took a tentative step and placed his hand on Lu Han’s shoulder assuring.
“It’s okay, Han. I would love to share the room with you.”
Sehun intention purely was to comfort Lu Han, sincerity tingeing each word. But on the contrary Lu Han turned to cherry red, his cheeks flushing deeply. When Sehun heard a sniffle, he almost fell on to his knees to apologize for whatever he had done though his words nor action were never meant to bring any harm to the latter. But he slapped his inner conscious and reminded for the sake of both of them he had to stand stable and conscious. He had sworn to bring Lu Han back.
He gently brought Lu Han to his chest, hugging him warmly. He could feel Lu Han relaxing in his arms.
“I don’t want to sleep alone. Dark is scary”
He hardly deciphered the muffled words emitting from Lu Han’s lips that were pressed to his clothed chest. Sehun soothed the smaller back, feeling Lu Han’s fingers bunching his shirt. Sehun patted Lu Han’s back and kissed his soft hair.
“I know baby. It’s okay”
After some silent but comfortable minutes Sehun spent with Lu Han in his hands, Lu Han pulled away rubbing his small hand to clean his face. Sehun dug his pocket to grab a tissue and taking Lu Han’s face to his palm, he gently wiped the dried tears. He read the thankfulness in Lu Han’s browns. Sehun ruffled his hair only to have Lu Han huffing on him, swatting his arm away. Sehun chuckled lightly.
Each step was more advanced than the previous one. But Sehun knew without stepping into water he couldn’t predict about it depths. He was slowly guiding Lu Han, out of his own mass of life, clouded by confusion
“So Han, do you like to make lunch for us?”
He lazily asked from the pediatrician who was solving a colorful Rubik cube. Rubik was Lu Han’s favorite habbit. It’s a good exercise to his brain but Sehun wanted latter to trigger his attention into more subjects.
Lu Han stopped in mid air and stared at Sehun for a solid minute. Sehun watched him, face indifference with the same casual expression he wore.
‘Really? Do you really want me to?”
Lu Han
