Hanbin’s POV

A dangerous plan, just this time

Jinhwan’s idea to win Inna back wouldn’t leave my head.

Before heading out to the studio, I gathered everyone for breakfast.

“Guys, this might come off as a shock but..” their eyebrows knit together, anticipating my next words. “I was in a relationship the last few months, before we even debuted.”

I brace myself for the reactions but I wasn’t prepared for the lack of it.

“And?” Junhoe asked, sounding as if he had more important things to do.
“I didn’t want to disappoint you guys so I kept it a secret but in doing so, I hurt her. Now, I’m going to do whatever it takes to get that girl back in my life and I need your help.”
Suddenly, Bobby and Yunhyeong started laughing and singing ‘My Type’. I figured that the two were able to catch on but never actually bothered me about it.
“Well, I’m in.” Jinhwan said.
“Me too!” Chanwoo added and all the others agreed to help.
“Great. I was planning to surprise her on Christmas day so we don’t have to practice.” We won’t be able to go home for Christmas day since we have to practice for all the year end performances.
“Now you’re taking.” Junhoe said.
“So what’s the plan?” Donghyuk asked.
“Actually, I never had the chance to go into the details..” I felt so flustered, I haven’t thought this out yet.
“Well, that’s what we’re here for! How about we…” Jinhwan began sharing his ideas for the surprise and the conversation turned into a brainstorming session.

I tried to look my best. I was wearing a navy blue coat on top of my white sweater, pants, and trusty converse with a bouquet of white tulips in hand.

I could feel my stomach tossing and turning as I went up to her door.

I take a deep breath and ring the doorbell.

“Coming!” I hear her ever familiar voice from the other side of the room followed by shuffling feet.

As the door opened, I felt my heart drop. I wanted the ground to eat me alive. I guess she wanted the same thing to happen to her because the girl froze up at the sight of me.

She looked like she just got back from school. Her hair was tied up in a high pony tail and she hasn’t changed from her blazer, hoodie, shirt, pants and converse combo. She lost some weight and the bags under her eyes were more noticeable. Nonetheless, she was still the same Inna I knew.

“For you,” I awkwardly handed her the flowers.
“Thanks,” she looked puzzled but accepted the flowers. “What are you doing here? Why are you doing this?” she asked curiously. Too shocked to be mad at me.
“I’m here to make things right again. Can we take a walk?”
“The park?” she was hesitant.
“Our park - it’s where we met.” I said.
“There’s no more ‘us’, Hanbin. It’s just the park now.” she said dryly. “Hold on, let me get my scarf.”
