Reunited...

“OH JAEHUN, PUT THE CAT DOWN!” I screamed at my son when he was about to throw the cat in the pool.


He turned and faced me with a pout. “Appa, I just want to teach Sugi how to swim.”


I rolled my eyes and carried the boy, who let the cat go. “Jae, cats can’t swim like us. They hate water. Remember the last time we gave Sugi a bath?”


He nodded vigorously. “Yeah and Sugi scratch your arms,” he giggled.
 

I let out a laugh and ruffled his hair. “Then next time, don’t throw Sugi in the pool, okay? Now, come on. Your mother is waiting for us.” The two of us headed back to our house.


 

I stared at the invitation letter, happy but worried at the same time. Baekhyun hyung had decided that we should have a reunion and release an album together, which mean including the two of them.

“Yeobo, oh, what’s that?” Jaehee, my wife, sat next to me, rubbing my back in circles. I gave her the card and she read it. “Well, are you joining them?” she asked.


I shook my head, clasping my hands. “To be honest, I don’t know. Baekhyun hyung said they will be joining us. I don’t think I can face them, not after what they’ve done.”

 
She sighed and gave me a look. “I don’t know what exactly happened, but it’s in the past now.  Don’t you think it’s time to let go and move on?”


I was mum for a moment. “Bu-”


“Now, now, Mr. Oh, no buts. Butts are for sitting,” she cut me off and crossed her arms, glaring at me playfully.


Oh, how I love this woman.


I let out a laugh and pulled her into an embrace. “Okay Mrs. Oh, I’ll move on,” I said.


I was just about to kiss her on the lips, when our son arrived and jump between us. “GROUP HUG!” he exclaimed, and I laughed once again and hugged my family with a smile plastered on my face.


Since EXO disbanded, my family was the one who gave me happiness. I thought I was going to be alone, but Jaehee came, followed by Jaehun. Everything was imperfectly perfect.


 

 

I stood in front of the company where everything started. Just remembering the past made me smile. My dreams had come true. But now, my family was my new dream. Just then, a group of fan girls arrived. They looked like they were waiting for someone. I immediately put on my black cap and hid myself. A black van arrived and on cue, Baekhyun and Chen hyung walked out from the van.
