Bobby wasn't an idiot.

He knew there was something fishy about you complimenting him out of the blue like that, saying it to him as if he shouldn't be surprised by it. It all seemed too good to be true, and after finding out that you were dating Shin, he knew that idiot probably took part in the plan behind it.    But he also knew better than to let the moment slip out of his hands without having a little fun of his own.    Come on, now. Kim Ahri doesn't hand out compliments everyday. To Bobby, not in this lifetime. Or so he thought...    "Hey, beautiful, what are you doing after this?" he said, sneaking up behind you at your locker. "I'm free if you are."    You threw him a quick glance over your shoulder as you loaded your textbooks into your locker. You half-smiled. "Oh how nice it is to see your handsome face. Lucky me."    He didn't notice Yunhyeong passing by, amusedly raising his eyebrows as he passed behind his back. As soon as Yunhyeong passed, you rolled your eyes and shut your locker. The force of the slam made Bobby's shoulders shake.    As you turned back around, Bobby smirked, leaning in closer to you. Passing students began to whisper around you two, but neither of you cared. It happened way too often anyway.    "Just when I think you finally learned your lesson," you said, eyes falling back onto him in a vacant gaze.    Bobby felt a slight flutter in his chest when you laughed airly, shaking your head. He was throwing himself under the bus, looking at you like this.    "You know me better than that," Bobby replied, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. He was going to hell for this. He didn't care as much as he should've. It was weird how often that happened.    "You know, I have a boyfriend," you said, still not doing anything to keep his fingers from combing through your hair. It was nice. He could really get used to this. You sighed, eyes coasting over his tight grin.    "Don't remind me," Bobby replied casually sighing. "Way to get both my heart and ego in one shot. I expect nothing less from you."   Your palm closed around his wrist as soon as his fingers moved from your hair to your cheek. "You know, Bobby, I may just actually like him."    Bobby smiled affectionately as he shoved his hand back into his pocket. "Come on, Ri. We both know that's not true."    "And why not?" you replied, tone as blank as your expression. It was funny how much he could like a face that revealed so little.   "Because he's just like me," Bobby replied, smile almost sad. As much as he hated to say it, it was true; Shin and Bobby were more alike than they were different. Even he could see that.    You finally moved off of your locker, a small frown curving out your lips -- so small he would have missed it if he wasn't so close. "We should get to class. We're going to be late."    Bobby wondered if you were frowning because he was right or because he was wrong.            Good thing was, by Friday, you were desensitized by all of the complimenting so it wasn't so bad to get through your daily quota. Actually, now, you were just complimenting Bobby to compliment him.    "You look nice today," you said to Bobby when he walked up to you during lunch, that knowing, expectant grin on his face. You sighed. So this is the guy your heart chose.    "And you're beautiful as always," Bobby replied, grin breaking out into a wide smile. "You know, we could be a beautiful couple if you gave us a chance."   "Nice to know the offer's still on the table," you replied, falling into step with him to the lunch line. Your friends all gave you suggestive looks as they passed by to the lunch table. "I was worried for a second."   You ignored the fact that you were actually slightly serious about that.    "Don't worry, you'll always be my favorite," Bobby replied, smiling sweetly. "Even more so now with your overflowing affection."   You rolled your eyes, shoving him lightly before grabbing a plate from the counter and moving on. Bobby followed you and you walked out together towards your lunch tables.    "What is that about anyway?" Bobby asked, glancing over at you. "I'm not complaining, but it seems so... unlike you."   You should've seen it coming, should've had a good excuse formed in your head. But you didn't.    "Because I want to," you said, looking towards him. It was sort of the truth, also sort of the opposite of the truth.    "I should probably give up on trying to figure you out," Bobby said, stopping between your lunch tables. He smirked on one end of his lips. "Too bad I like you so much. Shin should be concerned."   He knew so little yet so much.   "Whatever," you said, moving on to your table, shaking your head. You glanced over at Bobby as he made his way to his table and he smiled, sneaking a quick wink at you as he sat down.    Your heart was in knots.    "I say you dump Shin right now and run away with Bobby," Taehee said as soon as you looked back to your friends. "All in favor raise your hand."   Even Minhee raised her hand.    You rolled your eyes, about to tuck your hair behind your ear when you realized Bobby already did it for you. That kid...   "You just want Shin for yourself," you said, giving her a look rather than entertaining her statement.    "So sue me for thinking he's hot!" Taehee replied, throwing her hands up. "Still not as hot as Bobby, though. Maybe that's just personal preference."   "Nope," Minhee said, looking up. She gave you an apologetic look. "Sorry, Ahri. Everyone thinks Bobby's hotter."   "Wow," you said lamely, "thanks for the support, everyone."    Minhee gave you a look. "Don't get mad. You know the truth."   "The truth," you repeated, which could've meant anything. You were not at all expecting what she'd say next, but you couldn't say she was wrong.    "Shin is like how Yerin was to Bobby," she said, looking awfully sage in manner. "You think he'll change things for you, but in reality, everything's the same."   You couldn't even bother a reply that wouldn't be so obviously fake.          Your parents had a thing with a
