Luhan was nervous. Luhan was seriously uneasy. Well in point of fact, the vocal major was tremendously anxious.

He had been fidgeting restlessly in his seat – his knees were jumpy, his shoulders were tense, his palms were sweating, and his eyes were obvious with distress. The doe-eyed male definitely was a nervous wreck and Minseok was honestly starting to get annoyed with his best friend.

The two were on their way to Minseok’s cousin, Namjoo’s birthday party. He was driving while Luhan was riding shotgun. They were quiet on their journey; the only sound heard was the song playing in the radio.

Minseok glanced to his side and regarded his longtime friend. The vocal major was dazedly looking outside the window while anxiously biting his lower lip. The medical student internally sighed. He could understand why the doe-eyed male was restless. He understood quite well why his best friend was impatiently and worriedly sitting in his seat.

An image of a certain pianist appeared in his mind – the lovely belle his cousin, Joonmyeon, was currently dating (Well, actually they had been going out for a very long time.) and Minseok certainly knew Park Chorong was a force to be reckoned with.

She was a beauty to behold, both inside and out. She was smart, she was funny and witty, she was kind and she was pretty – anyone would be easily attracted to the sweet and charming lass. And Minseok knew perfectly well that the vocal major’s one of them.

But Luhan was different. He was definitely and certainly different.

They were close – he and Chorong. They were particularly and essentially close. The pair instantly clicked when they met a few years ago and they had become inseparable. The friendship between the two was strong and tremendous – they were obviously special to each other. Yet an incident had happened which might have caused the deep friendship to crumble into dust.

The medical student had personally seen the effect of what had happened between them in his best friend. Luhan had cried for hours; he had sobbed incessantly hard and wept nonstop. The doe-eyed male even had a difficulty in breathing while he cried.

Minseok had frankly grown worried for his best friend’s mental state. It was only two days after the incident after all. He was apprehensive about going to the party.  Yet the vocal major assured him he was okay and they should go. “It’s our precious Namjoo’s birthday! We shouldn’t miss it for anything,” the doe-eyed male chided as Minseok tried to assure his best friend’s state.

He could only sigh as the vocal major had a determined look on his face. He knew his best friend was afraid of meeting Chorong – he was definitely dreading it, but he also knew their meeting would be unavoidable.

They were in the same group of friends, and they were in the same department too. They’d eventually bump into each other in school or in the hallways. Plus, since Luhan was casted in their school’s musical and Chorong was obviously in the orchestra, they would surely need to work with each other in the near future. Their fates were without a doubt intertwined to say the least.

“Don’t worry, Minnie. I’ll be alright,” Luhan suddenly spoke out, reeling Minseok out of his thoughts.

The medical student glanced at his best friend then back to the road ahead. “I know you will be, Lu. I’m just honestly worried about you and Chorong. I don’t want you two to stop being friends. You guys are really good with each other,” he softly answered.

Luhan could only nod at his best friend’s words. He was quite worried too. He obviously treasured the young female and he knew so did she.
