Castle Grounds
Unlikely FriendsIt’s still cold outside, but the snow is finally gone and new green grass covers the many Hogwarts castle grounds. It’s the weekend, and though they have a ton of homework to do, Jongin convinced Kyungsoo to spend the afternoon out by the lake.
Jongin rests back on his elbows, watching the breezes draw ripples on the water. In the distance, Hellfire swoops low with Magnus in the little basket under her. The two have become a sensation among the students. Even Hagrid called Jongin and Kyungsoo aside to congratulate them on their outstanding efforts at Pet Friendships—another seminar he’d given.
With a big smile, Jongin turns to watch the person sitting beside him. Kyungsoo has his head tilted up, letting the weak sunrays kiss his face. His raven-black hair moves softly over his forehead and eyes, but Kyungsoo doesn’t bother pushing it away. Jongin knows this is the best view of all.
Kyungsoo’s lips turn up at the sides, but he keeps his eyes closed. “You’re staring again.”
“Does it bother you?” Jongin asks, sitting up and leaning in closer to kiss Kyungsoo’s pale cheek.
Kyungsoo blinks and tilts his face towards Jongin. “Not really.”
“Good,” Jongin says, moving closer and wrapping an arm around his boyfriend’s shoulders. “Because it’s my favorite thing to do.”
Kyungsoo arches one thick brow. “Watching me? That’s kind of creepy, Jongin.”
Jongin pouts. “I was going for romantic.”
