Room of Requirement
Unlikely FriendsTwo days later, it’s Jongin’s birthday and Kyungsoo feels as if he could throw up. Today is the day he will tell Jongin how he feels and hopefully not pass out in the process.
He’s standing in the left corridor on the seventh floor, reading for the tenth time the parchment invitation.
Jongin’s Birthday
Room of Requirement
Think: Party, Paint, Obstacles.
Kyungsoo crumples the paper in his hands and shoves it in his jean’s back pocket. He paces in front of the blank wall and thinks over and over the same three words. A yellow door appears on the wall and he goes in.
The Room of Requirement has been turned into a paintball obstacle field. The only difference is that they’re playing with spells. Kyungsoo moves further into the room and watches as Jongdae climbs on top of a barrel and shoots at Tao, who is hiding behind some wood planks. When the spell hits, it leaves a blue splatter of magic. Baekhyun shoots from the far side corner and nails Yixing on the arm, leaving a red splash of color on his shirt.
By Merlin’s Butterbeer belly, it looks awesome!
“Kyungsoo!” Jongin waves and jogs over, one of his huge, carefree smiles directed straight at him. It feels like an arrow straight into his heart. And his nerves.
Kyungsoo’s pulse accelerates. He smiles back, and wipes his hands on his jeans. “Happy birthday, Jongin.”
“Thank you!” Jongin is wearing dark jeans, and a tight long sleeve that makes Kyungsoo’s mouth go dry.
“I’m kind of sad I didn’t plan a better party,” Kyungsoo admits. “This looks great!”
“Actually, this is what happens when I let Luhan plan my party. If it was up to me, I would’ve invited everyone to the Hufflepuff common room and done a small get together there,” Jongin says, but there’s an excited gleam in his eyes.
“So…glad you didn’t plan it?”
“Exactly.”
They both laug
