Forever Is Composed Of Nows
“So.....are you going to answer or…?” “I don’t know” Kai and Luhan glanced at each other before returning their focus back to the television screen, leaving Sehun in between them staring down at his ringing cellphone. “You’ll make it worse if you don’t talk to her” Sehun gritted his teeth, shoved his phone into his pocket and stood up abruptly, making Kai and Luhan look up at him curiously. “I’m heading to the store, do you guys want something?” “No” “I’m good” “Okay. I’ll be back” Sehun grabbed his coat and stalked out of his house. “This isn’t going to end well” Kai said with a sigh. Luhan shrugged, “It’s not going to end well because he doesn’t want to face her. Just cause things change, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it will end bad. Your friend is an idiot” “He’s your friend too” “He was your friend first” “Whatever” ☃ Sehun walked with his hands in his pockets as the light snow fell down on him. In his mind, the cruel words he had spoken to his girlfriend were so loud he was beginning to get a headache. He knew that things would change when she headed off to college, but they were optimistic and truly believed they could get through it. It was just one year and then they would be reunited. It didn’t bother Sehun at first, he understood, but there were times when he honestly felt as if he were a burden to her. Their recent phone conversation started out like any other. Sehun was playing video games with his friends that Saturday night when he answered her call. Kai and Luhan said hi, and they went on talking about their week. Min had more to say, of course, and maybe it was because he had just finished a 10 hour holiday shift that he began to get annoyed when she mentioned that she might have to work more holiday hours. “So what you’re saying is that you’re not coming home?” “I said I’m not sure. Holiday hours pay well and I need to complete my rent for this month” “You could just say you would rather stay there than come back to me” At this, Luhan and Kai turned to Sehun, surprised by his tone. Min must’ve been taken back by how he spoke to her, because it took a while for her to respond. “What?” “It’s true isn’t it? You don’t have to worry about hurting my feelings. Not that you have time to do so anyways” “Hey, what is this about, Sehun? I’m living alone and have bills to pay and test to study for, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t try to make time for you. I do” “Sorry I’m such a burden” “Sehun, come on. That’s not what I meant and you know it” “Whatever. We’ll talk when I see you. Whenever that will be” And he hung up. He stared at his phone after he did so, but even when she tried to call back, he couldn’t answer her. First of all, he was still a little annoyed and second, despite knowing that he had touched upon it first, he was scared that she would come to her senses and break u
